The waters of Baptism make us part of the
new covenant in Christ. But the bishops’
pastoral letter on stewardship reminds us
that “there is a fundamental obligation
arising from the Sacrament of Baptism...that
people place their gifts, their resources — their selves —
at God’s service in and through the Church.”

Marien and Steven Voyt were ordained to the priesthood.
Fr. Callipare was assigned , along with Fr. Peter Wood
as Parochial Vicars of St. Mary parish on June 5, 1985.
On May 12, 1985, Fr. Marien celebrated his first mass at
St. Mary Church. The mass was followed by a reception
in the school gym. The celebration was attended by
parishioners, school families and many of Fr. Roy’s
former fellow teachers from Saint Mary School.

NEXT 100 YEARS
What will it be like for
St. Mary’s and the Catholic
Church? Join Fr. Will on the
Thursdays during Lent (Feb. 26, Mar. 5, 12, 19, &
26) for a group study of a summarized version of
The Joy of the Gospel by Pope Francis.
Let’s ask ourselves: “Will there be anything
more important and needed in the next 100
years than joy that is brought to us by the
Gospel of Jesus Christ?” Come journey this
Lent and be part of laying the foundation for
a future full of joy in the Lord!

nuestras promesas bautismales.
