Bienvenidos al mundo del turismo, bienvenidos a Fitur. t Continued from pg.1 After all that activity, the best option is to attend the tastings of the range of gastronomic delicacies presented by different countries and Spanish regions. Definitely the best way to experience these traditions and cultures, as the first step towards selecting a future destination for a holiday or a quick getaway. Ifema once again gathers the best global tourist offer at Fitur’s twelve halls: destinations, travel agencies, tour operators, transport and anything travel enthusiasts may require. Halls 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 group the tourist offers showcased by Spanish promotion boards and institutions proposing activities on all the stands, such as wine therapy treatments in La Rioja, product tasting in Asturias and Andalusia, fashion shows in Madrid, Las Edades del Hombre (The Ages of Man) in Castilla y León, commented wine tasting in ACEVIN and traditional cookery demonstrations in the Valencian Community. International exhibitors are also showcasing an equally varied and appealing offer in Halls 6, 8 and 10. This trip around the world could depart from Asia-Pacific (Hall 6), where Japan or Thailand allow visitors to experience their millenary cultures with calligraphy workshops, kimono fashion shows, fruit carving, umbrella painting and Thai massages. Tahiti, with its Tiare gardenias, or Indonesia, with its Balinese dances, are two other exotic options. From there, visitors can wander along to Africa and the Near East without leaving the Hall. Gabon, Nigeria and Botswana are some of the countries that are new to Fitur, surprising participants with their fascinating natural beauty. They stand alongside other veteran Fitur destinations like Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia or Morocco. Fitur is especially renowned for the sound offer showcased by the American continent. Hall 8 provides visitors with a taste of El Dorado, exhibitions of Amazon art in Peru, Mexican mariachis, traditional Son Cubano music, the Mayan heritage of Central America, the immensity of Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, all surrounded by the delicious aromas of Dominican rum or Colombian coffee. Back in Europe, in Hall 10, cultural, language, religious and sand and beach tourism share the space with colourful options such as the Belgian Comic Strip Year or the debut of Bosnia & Herzegovina and Georgia. From Portugal’s beaches to the steppes of Kazakhstan, and from the Mediterranean to Greenland’s winter proposals, anything is possible at Fitur. Furthermore, in the corporate areas, a host of companies introduce themselves to visitors by showcasing their best offers, including amazing options for them to plan their next trip or design a quick getaway… Welcome to the world of tourism, welcome to Fitur. 3 e n PREMIOS FITUR P R I Z E S p o r t a d a Pasado, presente y futuro de COMUNIDADES AUTÓNOMAS COM U N I DADES AUTÓNOMAS F I T U R Euskadi Past, present and future of Euskadi LA ORIGINALIDAD DEL STAND DE EUSKADI, con claras reminiscencia a su pasado y presente industrial y naval y su riqueza natural, le ha hecho merecedores del reconocimiento como uno de los mejores espacios de la Feria.
