1.-INTRODUCTION
Maracof, S.L. is a company dedicated to construction sector, playing the role of
contractor and subcontractor.
Our company is dedicated to the Civil Engineering, though we are involved in some
works of Urbanization, Construction and Single Additional Projects.
Since its foundation The company maintains a constant growth, but it was in the last
decade when we opted for a territorial expansion and business growth.
Our mission is to provide integral solutions to our clients in the execution and
development of the works that we are carrying out. We provide our clients with man power,
machinery and materials necessary. Thanks to the total autonomy we can guarantee that the
projects would be accomplished according to the plan.
Maracof, s.l. is a construction company, which performs most of its works using its
own resources, giving the special importance to the personnel (250 employees ), promoting
its specialization and training. We are hiring local workers which are in the vicinity of the
construction site. In case of any problems we can rapidly increase our man power.
Our growth is supported by continus investment in resources better in quality and
higher in volume.

1.1.-HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The company MARACOF, S.L. was founded in 1.986 in Piñar's (area of Granada). Its
head office was moved to Granada in 2.003 where the company was consolidated as one of
the strongest local Construction Companies. Due to its stability the company provides the
highest level of reliability to its customers and suppliers.
In 2.009 the companies head office was moved to a new and ultramodern building,
located in the area of Almunia Garden in Granada, in the office building Atene. The company
departments were centralized in one building. In Atene building there are departments of
construction, accounting and administration, quality and environment, health and safety and
training room, occupy at total space of 600 m2.

In 2.005 in Iznalloz (area of Granad ) a few new facilities were opened. The buildings are meant
to accommodate the Production Workshop (where the steels for rebar are produce), and
Machinery Depot. That ensures the continuity of production of rebar at any time, without
having to rely on other suppliers.

1.1.1.-AFFILIATED COMPANIES
With the purpose of being able to carry out all Maracof's projects, affiliated abd
associated companies was founded. These companies come from diverse sectors- that we
have considered to be strategic, what makes us able to give an integral and complete service in
the execution of our works, using our own resources.
The same year, the affiliated Maracof Energy was founded, with head office in
Villanueva de la Serena, in the province of Badajoz, with the aim of attending in a more nearby
way to those works executed in the Autonomous Community of Estremadura. The purpose of
this subsidiary is to be able to attend in a more efficient way to a great number of industrial
projects executed in the zone. This company has a head office in Villanueva of the Serenade,
and workshop of reinforced concrete in Campanario.
In 2010 there was created the company SERCOT as Maracof's subsidiary. This company
is dedicated to the field of the Topography. We consider that the topography has a crucial
importance in the Industrial projects as well as in another type of projects. There was created
a wide crew dedicated permanently to this type of works to guarantee the maximum
experience in projects which require topography. We try to complement the activity that
Maracof executes, training our workforce and providing it with the major specialization, so
necessary in this type of projects.

In 2.007 there was founded Maracof's subsidiary (SYDE), destined to the metallic
structure, with office in Padul (Granada.) From this subsidiary, there are executed all kinds of
industrial buildings, workshops, ships etc … and it´s used as a complement to our activities of
civil engineering, which always require this type of works and supplies. Moreover it allows us
provide to our clients a better and more complete service.
1.2. - WORKS ACCOMPLISHED:
Maracof carries out all kinds of civil engineering of great dimension. The company
focuses the mayor part of its resources to the constriction of civil engineering inside the
industrial sector, linear works (highway and railway), water tank and treatment.
Maracof participates in different projects as contractor company (executing the
complete project of civil engineering), or as a subcontractor (executing the part of structures).

1.2.1.-INDUSTRIAL WORKS:
Maracof carries out all kinds of civil engineering of great dimension. The company
utilizes the major part of its resources in the constriction of civil engineering inside the
industrial sector.
This sector, requires major technical and training specialization of the technical
personnel and of the operators. According to this, we rely on a wide range of human resources
that possess an experience of more than 10 years in civil engineering.
To be able to attend to all the demands of this type of projects, we possess the most
wide range of supply companies of all material (special sheets, mortars and resins, spikes and
high-performance embedded etc …). We count with our own tests and formulas for work in
different singular materials like refractory concretes, fireproof paintings and thermal
isolations.
Inside the industrial sector, we have a great experience in the execution of Solar
Power Plants.

MARACOF S.L. has an Human Resources Department which helps new employees
adapt to the company. It also develops workers training program.
The workers training programs promote the development of the individual and
organizational talent. Includes the Executive Development Programs: education in values and
leadership style, Programs of Development in the area of the Business Management: to make
possible perform job duties more efficiently and General Programs of Development
We offer also Individual Development Programs, adapted to the specific needs of
every person.

- Department of Safety: We are committed to the training and management of the
labor risks prevention, MARACOF S.L. carries out the training and information tasks aimed at
the workforce to obtain the better results in all the areas of company’s activity.
- Department of Quality and Environment: Its aim is to offer an integral management
of accreditations, management of documentation and procedures. Through the rigorous
quality control we want to achieve a total reliability.
- Department
of Administration: Business administration and accounting
management.
- Technical Department: dedicated to the study and execution of the projects, as well
as a cutting and measurement of steel for rebar department. It allows us to carry out any
project in more efficient way.

2.1.-BUSINESS POLICY
MARACOF, S.L. is a construction company compromised to carrying out his activities
respecting the environment and providing the maximum satisfaction to his clients. For this
purpose we elaborate Quality, Environment, Safety and Health at Work Policies, which is the
frame for the establishment of our aims.
The system implanted by MARACOF, S.L. satisfies the requirements of the
international standards: UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008, UNE-EN ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS
18001:2007.
The pillars of our policy are as follows:
1.
It's necessary to know the requirements of our client, both public and private, with the
aim to increase their satisfaction.
2.
The prevention of errors should take priority over their correction.
3.
The activities will be planned, at all the levels of the company, so that to obtain the
constant improvement in the quality, the environment and the safety health at work
areas.

To carry out our projects in the better way possible and increase our clients
satisfaction, it is important to invest in workers training and professional skills
development, so as to all employees do their job in the best possible way.

The communication, at all organization's levels, is indispensable for the improvement
of quality, environment, safety and health at work.

Very important issue is to have knowledge about the environmental impact of our
activities, so as to, first of all, avoid it, minimize or correct it, as far as possible.
7.
Our company is committed to prevention of pollution derived from our activities.
8.
Our company promise is to comply with the legislation and environmental, safety and
health regulations, as well as those regulations that concern the quality of our works,
the requirements of the clients, and other requirements related to the safety and
health at work.
9.
Our company is committed to prevent damage and deterioration of health during the
performance of work.
10.
The safety and health conditions must govern the accomplishment of our work, at
every post, at all levels.
11.
MARACOF, S.L. incorporates into the execution of its projrcts QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT
and SAFETY AND HEALTH policies.
2.2. SAFETY AND HEALTH
Maracof has been complied from his beginnings with the current legislation regarding safety
and health, because we consider this to be fundamental to obtain stability in the daily activity
of the company.
In 2010 we were certificated with the OHSAS 18.001.

Average number of work accidents that occur in our company is below the average of our
sector, this data is supported by the report of our Prevention Service (Fremap).
Every year we develop permanent training programs for our workforce. The aim marked for
2010 is that all our workers have a minimal training of 20 hour for safety and health.
Further, our Senior Technical Healthy and Safety Managers are responsible for the
accomplishment of
our policy by Marcof´s staff and
by the companies that Marcof
subcontracts.
At any time, we provide our building works with:

1 TOP TECHNICIAN IN LABOR RISKS PREVENTION 600 HOURS
·
1/50 EMPLOYEES. PREVENTIVE RESOURCES: FORMATION OF BASIC LEVEL 60 HOURS
·
ALL WORKERS WILL HAVE H&S TRAINING (AT LEAST 8 HOURS OF TRAINIG)
2.3.-QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICIES:
Our Quality Assurance Plan is one of the most important aspects in the successful
implementation of any Quality System in the organization. It defines and describes all activities
and methodologies of the above mentioned System, applied to the concrete case of the
execution of civil engineering, of each projects that we carry out.
The MARACOF, S.L. company is committed to accomplish all tasks of the agreement,
satisfying the petitioner´s requests, complying with regulation, official requirements and other
requirements expressed by the petitioner.
The aims that we try obtain by the following Q.A.P. are the following ones:

To assure that all the products and services we offer, satisfy the requirements and
expectations of the client.

To anticipate the appearance of problems arising from the use of defective materials
or components.

To improve the processes of construction, to increase the productivity and the
profitability by reduction of costs, but not quality.

necessary for an external insurance of quality

To provide the use of materials and processes which guarantee the safety of the
people and goods. Some of these solutions are: the essential requirements of
mechanical resistance and stability, fire safety, hygiene, health and environment,
safety in the use, protection against noise, energy saving and thermal insulation.

Our experience, knowledge and contacts allow us to be able to cope with the
execution of the most peculiar works. We possess a wide range of partner companies
(subcontractor), that collaborate with us continuously from a long time, what
guarantee the perfect execution of the projects.
