CUTTING
HEIGHT
ADJUSTMENT
These unitscan be adjusted to offer a cutting heightrange from 1/2" to 1-3/4" simply by adjusting the roller assembly. Keep
in mind that the same adjustment must be performedon both sides of the mower.
As you followthe instructionsbelow, refer to figure 3 for more information.
• To achieve the lowest cutting position, loosen and removethe nutson 'bothsides of the roller assembly.
• Positionthe bolt through the bottom hole of the plasticrollerbracket and the top hole of the mower side plate. Retighten
nuts on both sides.
• To achieve the highest cutting position,loosen end removethe nuts on both sides of the roller assembly.
• Position the bolt through the top hole of the plasticroller bracketand the bottomhole of the mower side plate. Retighten
nuts on both sides.
Other cutting heights can be obtained by positioningthe boltsthrough otherhole locations.

agujero infedor que se encuentm en laplaca lateralde la podadora.Vuelva a apretar la tuercas de ambos lados.
Se pueden obtaner otras alturas de corte, pasando el tornilloper diferentesagujeros.

HANDLE
TO MOWER
• Enclosed in carton is a bolt pack and the handle. Take the two upper sectionsof the handle, and using one 114x 1-3/4"
Machine bolt, and the hex nut, fasten the two upper handle sections together as shownin the illustration.Figure 1
• Take the two lever handle sections and using the two 1/4 x 2" Machine bolts with the hex nuts, fasten the lower handle
sectionto the upper.
• The holes in the lower handle fit over the lugs on the side plates. In the bolt pack are 2 retaining rings. Press these over
the handle lugs to keep the handle from coming off. See Figure 2.
ENSAMBLAJE

• Tome las dos seccionas infedores de la manija, y usando dos pernos de rosca fina de 114x 2" con los tuercas hexagonales, fije la secoibn inferior con la secci6n superior.
• Los agujeros en la seccibn inferior de la manija encajan sobra los pequei_osv_stagos sn las placas latarales. En el
paquete de pernos hay 2 aros de retencibn. Presione eStos aros sobre los v_,stagospara evitar que se zafe la manija.

• Pmnez ensure lea deux sections du bas de la poign6e et utilisaz las boulons les plus longs(1/4" x 2") avec les ecroua
ainsi qua les rondellas pour les fixer _ la section sup6rieura.
• Lorsquela poign6e est assambl_e, superposez las orifices sa trouvant aux extr6mit_sinf6rieures de la poign_e (section
du bas) sur les montantsdes fixations latterales de la tondeuse (dessin #2). Una lois la poignee en place, utilisez les
anneaux de retenue trouv_s dans le n_cessaire de quincaillerie pour fixer la poign_a sur les montants et I'empecher
d'en ressortir.(dessin #2)

MOWER BLADE ADJUSTMENT
• The blades have been preadjusted before leaving the factory.
• Misalignment can occur resulting in blades that are too looseor too tight. If this happens, you will notice a rough,
uneven cut or a hard pushing mower.
• All adjustments are made from the rear of the mower (oppositefrom the bar with the logo decal.) Each end of the cutting bar can be adjusted separately.
• As you follow the instructionsbelow, refer to Figure 1 for more information.
• The cutting bar blade (located under the reel) pivots.The front screws move the cutter bar away from the blades, while
the rear screws move the cutting bar towardthe blades.
• Adjustingthe screws is a very sensitive procedure. 1116thof a turn is considered a major adjustment,
• Beforetightening one adjusting screw, be sure to loosen the opposing screw an equal amount.
LOOSENING
THE BLADES
• The cutter bar blade must be moved further from the cutting reel.
• Loosen both back screws equally by turning them counter-clockwise,
• Tighten bot'l front screws equally by turning them clockwise.
TIGHTENING
• The cutter bar must be moved closer to the cuffing ree!,

CHECKING ADJUSTMENTS
• Turn mower upside down.
• Insert a piece of paper (i.e., writing or newspaper)between the cutter bar and the reel blades, and carefully turn the reel
blades by hand.
• All blades should slice the paper evenly the entire length of the cutter bar while the reel turns smoothly.
• If the mower has an uneven cut, an adjustment should be made to the appropriate side of the blades to attain an even
cutting action.
