The Knights Baby Bottle fundraiser to benefit Whispering Hope wraps up this weekend. Even if you did not pick up a marked baby bottle, you can still participate in helping purchase an Ultrasound machine which will be used to educate expectant mothers about the precious life they are carrying. Our Faith Formation program is
dedicated

providing

programs that meet the needs of all
our parishioners. From preschool to
adults,

catechetical
instruction that is based on the
Catechism of the Catholic Church,
the Scriptures and Church Tradition.

First Reconciliation / Communion
First Communion / Reconciliation
typically takes place in second grade
with the preparation beginning in first
grade. Preparation includes meetings
and workshops for parents and
working with children at home with
materials provided by the Faith
Formation department. All this is
done in concert with our regular Faith
Formation program. For information

St. Joseph Food Pantry
Food distribution every Wednesday,
4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and every
Friday during the school year from
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (No new

Interested in Becoming Catholic?
Adults who wish to join the Catholic Church as fully
initiated Christians are invited to participate in a
formation program that begins each fall. The
Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Confirmation and
Eucharist – are celebrated at the Easter Vigil. For

Confirmation
Confirmation takes place in the tenth grade with
preparation during the 9th and 10th grades. Teens are
prepared by attending Faith Formation classes,
participating in one retreat a year and by doing works
of service within and outside the parish. For more

affordable counseling services for families or

Marriage Preparation
Arrangements for the celebration of the Sacrament of
Marriage are to be made at least six months before
an anticipated wedding date. Please contact Fr. Juan
at ext. 12.
Engaged couples who have already completed the
preparation and scheduled a wedding should contact

Baptism
Please contact Luisa Rubio at ext. 15 for detailed
information. Parents must be registered in the
parish, practicing the Catholic faith and attend a
baptismal preparation class. These classes are held
monthly. Spanish speaking families, please contact

Anointing of the Sick / Communion to the Sick or
Homebound
In the event of serious illness, death, or other
sacramental emergency requiring the presence of a
priest, please contact our parish office during regular
office hours or, after hours, call our Sacramental
Emergency call answering service at 678-224-8448.
Specially trained Extraordinary Ministers of Holy
Communion are available to bring Communion to
those who are sick or homebound. Please call the

St. Brendan’s American Heritage Girls Troop GA0413 would like to say “Thank you” to the United Parcel Service (UPS) Foundation for a grant that was received. These funds will be very beneficial in helping fulfill the mission of “building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country”. Thank You! 3PM) - Seventh Annual Catholic Day at the Capitol. The day will

9:00, followed by a legislative briefing and workshops beginning
at 9:45 a.m. We will walk together to the Capitol to meet your

There will be 30-minute performances during all Faith Formation

Con sincera gratitud, y una mezcla de tristeza, despedimos a nuestro
Director de Música y Liturgia, el Sr. Phil Barreca. Durante más de 7
años, Phil ha dirigido a nuestra parroquia en el canto, la oración y la
devoción a través de su organización y planificación de nuestras muchas celebraciones litúrgicas. Su amor por la Liturgia y sus múltiples
talentos musicales han honrado nuestra parroquia. En todo el territorio de la Diócesis y
más allá, Phil siempre ha estado "en demanda" por sus habilidades musicales, a menudo como un músico invitado en bodas, funerales y eventos diocesanos, incluso con
el ¡Coro de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Atlanta! Realmente hemos tenido la fortuna de
contar con él durante tanto tiempo. Este mes de Febrero, Phil inicia su nueva etapa
con la Arquidiócesis de Atlanta, como Director de Música y organista en la Iglesia Católica St. Andrew en Roswell, GA. Por favor, únase a nuestro clero y personal deseándole a Phil una afectuosa despedida -¡Vaya con Dios!
