Faith Formation Our Faith Formation program is dedicated to providing quality programs that meet the needs of all our parishioners. From preschool to adults, we offer catechetical instruction that is based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Scriptures and Church Tradition. Please contact the Faith Formation office, ext. 33, for more information. First Reconciliation / Communion First Communion / Reconciliation typically takes place in second grade with the preparation beginning in first grade. Preparation includes meetings and workshops for parents and working with children at home with materials provided by the Faith Formation department. All this is done in concert with our regular Faith Formation program. For information contact the Faith Formation office, ext. 33. St. Joseph Food Pantry Food distribution every Wednesday, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and every Friday during the school year from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (No new registrations on Fridays.) Confirmation Confirmation takes place in the tenth grade with preparation during the 9th and 10th grades. Teens are prepared by attending Faith Formation classes, participating in one retreat a year and by doing works of service within and outside the parish. XLT Atlanta is a once-‐a-‐month gathering for the Catholic teens of the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Every XLT has powerful and inspiring talks, Eucharistic Adoration and incredible music performed in a contemporary concert setting. The monthly events are held at Studio ONE, located at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody. The next XLT event for high school students features music by Ike Ndolo with guest speaker Fr. Mass of Thanksgiving for St. Brendan’s Volunteers Wednesday, February 19 – Both the 8:30 am Mass and 7:00 pm Mass (Spanish) will be offered for all volunteers at St. Brendan’s. Whether you are a liturgical minister, a catechist, serve the sick, feed the hungry, assist with sacramental preparation, lead a ministry, shovel mulch, work in the garden, prepare food, repair items on campus, help with paperwork or office work, pray for St. Brendan’s, assist the poor, sing in the choir, or help with the other hundreds of things that get done around St. Brendan’s campus, we are very blessed by your contributions and appreciate all your efforts. Con sincera gratitud, y una mezcla de tristeza, despedimos a nuestro Director de Música y Liturgia, el Sr. Phil Barreca. Durante más de 7 años, Phil ha dirigido a nuestra parroquia en el canto, la oración y la devoción a través de su organización y planificación de nuestras muchas celebraciones litúrgicas. Su amor por la Liturgia y sus múltiples talentos musicales han honrado nuestra parroquia. En todo el territorio de la Diócesis y más allá, Phil siempre ha estado "en demanda" por sus habilidades musicales, a menudo como un músico invitado en bodas, funerales y eventos diocesanos, incluso con el ¡Coro de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Atlanta! Realmente hemos tenido la fortuna de contar con él durante tanto tiempo. Este mes de Febrero, Phil inicia su nueva etapa con la Arquidiócesis de Atlanta, como Director de Música y organista en la Iglesia Católica St. Andrew en Roswell, GA.
