Second Sunday in Ordinary Time
January 17, 2016
At Cana in Galilee, Jesus performed the first of his signs,
revealing his glory to his disciples, and later to all the
nations. He has revealed as well the manifestation of the
Spirit who distributes different gifts as he chooses.
Dear Parishioners,
Double check your calendars for January 17th, 24th & 31st. These three Sunday evenings, Gary
Cobb will be here to present the Christian Life & Witness course. This is the most important event
to prepare the parish community for the Colorado River Celebration with Will Graham
(Billy Graham’s grandson) this coming March 11th & 12th.
Each of the 3 parts of this course will be presented in five locations here in Lake Havasu City on
different nights of the week. So, if you are unable to make one or more of the Sunday evening
sessions, you can attend a similar session at one of the following locations.

I will be here for all three Sunday sessions. I will also attend some of the sessions at the other

Welcome!
You enter this Church not as a stranger, but
as a guest of God. As a baptized person, you
enter it as a son or daughter of the Father in
Christ. This House of God, therefore, is your
family home. Come in then with humility of
mind, joy of heart and thanks on your lips.
Come in and pause in prayer in the midst of
your busy life and its many worries.

Tuesday, February 2nd. Please make sure that your
children turn in their signed bulletins and the worksheets
from each of the weekly lessons. We look forward to
seeing you this week.
This week we are focusing on “What makes a Family?”.
The Christian family is a communion of persons,
a sign and image of the communion of the Father and the
Son in the Holy Spirit. In the procreation and education
of children it reflects the Father’s work of creation.
It is called to partake of the prayer and sacrifice of Christ.
Daily prayer and the reading of the Word of God
strengthen it in charity. The Christian family has an
evangelizing and missionary task.
The activity is making your family chain.

Entrance Song
—————————————–—————
Table of Plenty
Dan Schutte
Refrain: Come to the feast of heaven and earth! Come to
the table of plenty! God will provide for all that we need,
here at the table of plenty.
O come and sit at my table where saints and sinners are
friends. I wait to welcome the lost and lonely to share the cup of
my love.
O come and eat without money; come to drink without price.
My feast of gladness will feed your spirit with faith and fullness
of life.
My bread will ever sustain you through days of sorrow and
woe. My wine will flow like a sea of gladness to flood the
depths of your soul.
Your fields will flower in fullness; your homes will flourish in
peace. For I, the giver of home and harvest, will send my rain
on the soil.
Psalm 96
Proclaim his marvelous deeds to all the nations.
Offertory Song
——————————————————
We Are Many Parts
Marty Haugen
Refrain: We are many parts, we are all one body, and the
gifts we have we are given to share. May the Spirit of love
make us one in deed; one, the love that we share; one, our
hope in despair; one, the cross that we bear.
God of all, we look to you; we would be your servants true;
let us be your love to all the world.
So my pain is pain for you, in your joy is my joy, too; all is
brought together in the Lord.
All you seekers, great and small, seek the greatest gift of all;
if you love, then you will know the Lord.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER
(For those who are not able to receive Communion at this time)
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy
Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive
You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You
sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace
You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to
You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
Remember that the Communion being offered around the back
of the Church is strictly reserved for those who are physically
unable to safely come forward for Communion. It is also, of
course, for the family or friend who is here to assist the person.
We remember as well, that Our Lord, present in the Blessed
Sacrament, is always to be revered and adored. Therefore,
remember to stop and reverence Him in the Blessed
Sacrament until He has passed by completely. Thank you.
Communion Songs
————————————————–——
Taste and See
James E. Moore
Refrain: Taste and see, taste and see the goodness of
the Lord. O, taste and see, taste and see the goodness of
the Lord, of the Lord.
I will bless the Lord at all times. Praise shall always be on
my lips; my soul shall glory in the Lord for God has been so
good to me.
Glorify the Lord with me. Together let us all praise God’s
name. I called the Lord who answered me; from all my troubles
I was set free.
One Bread, One Body
John Foley
Refrain: One bread, one body, one Lord of all, one cup of
blessing which we bless. And we, though many,
throughout the earth, we are one body in this one Lord.
Gentile or Jew, servant or free, woman or man no more.
Many the gifts, many the works, one in the Lord of all.
Grain for the fields, scattered and grown, gathered to one for
all.
Closing Song
———————————————————
God, We Praise You
Christopher Idle
God we praise you! God we bless you! God we name you
sov’reign Lord! Mighty King whom all angels worship, Father by
your church adored: All creation shows your glory, Heav’n and
earth draw near your throne, Singing “Holy, holy, holy, Lord of
hosts and God alone!”
True apostles, faithful prophets, Saints who set their world
ablaze, Martyrs, once unknown, unheeded, Join one growing
song of praise, While your church on earth confesses one
majestic Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, God, our hope
eternally.
Prayer to Saint Michael, the Archangel
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God
rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell, Satan
and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Canto de Entrada
————–———————–—
vida, Señor, sembrando tu paz y amor.
espiritualmente a mi corazón. Y como si te
hubiese recibido, me abrazo y me uno todo a Ti;
Amen.
Oración a San Miguel Arcángel
Canto de Comunión
Comunión
—————————————
San Miguel Arcángel, defiéndenos en la lucha;
sé nuestro amparo contra la maldad y
asechanzas del demonio. Pedimos suplicantes
No Podemos Caminar
Amén.
Salmo 95
Cantemos la grandeza del Señor.
Juan A. Espinosa
No podemos caminar con hambre bajo el
sol.
Por el desierto el pueblo va cantando su dolor;
mundo entero. Que por tu Espíritu Santo,
puedan nuestros corazones conocer más y más
a tu hijo Jesucristo y darlo a conocer por
siempre. Amen.
