Jesús manejó en Jerusalén
sobre una burra
Jesus rode in Jerusalem
upon a donkey
Mt.21: [1] And when they drew near to
Jerusalem and came to Beth′phage, to the
Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
[2] saying to them, “Go into the village opposite
you, and immediately you will find an ass tied,
and a colt with her; untie them and bring them
to me.”
Tan pronto
entren, van a encontrar una burra atada, junto
con un burrito. Desátenlos y tráiganmelos.»
Lc.19: [35] Then they brought the colt to Jesus,
threw their cloaks over it, and put Jesus on it.
[36] As He rode along, the people spread their
cloaks on the road.
Lc.19: [35] Trajeron el borriquillo a Jesús, y
echando sobre él sus mantos, hicieron que
Jesús montara encima. [36] Y mientras él
avanzaba, tendían mantos por el camino.
What good time, when seeing a town and going
over there in a quiet walk. What relaxation
riding horses and travelling “all roads lead to
Rome.” There would be no hurry… with friends.
andando tranquilamente. Qué relajación de
montar cabalgaduras y recorrer “todos los
caminos llevan a Roma.” Habría que ir sin
prisas… con amigos.
What little hurry for eating yearly fruits, and only
in their harvest.
Summer Time is in its half --too hot--, now I
would like to invite all the parish bikers or
motorcyclists to meet and ride together once in
a while.
On JULY 31ST at 9:30 A.M.
We can meet at the church parking, pray to the
One who rode a donkey, and go friendly to
some places, drink water, tea or coffee, and eat
a sandwich.
What about to organize us on Our
Lady Feasts, i.e. on August 15th
to the Shrine of Our Lady of
Charity in Miami, FL.
amigablemente a ciertos lugares, a tomar agua,
Then we can be ready for next
events:
Luego, podríamos estar listos para:
† Poker Run to Key West in
September.
† Run a Key West en Septiembre
de 2016.
† Archbishop’s Poker Run #5
in February’17.
† Archbishop’s Poker Run #5 en
Febrero de 2017.

Amoris Leatitia II
From chapter 1 of the Light Through The Word, you and your wife. Your children extend like olive branches. The path of
suffering and blood, the tenderness of an embrace.
The Bible is created of families, of generations, the history of love and crisis in families.
When God created us and gave us freedom, at the same time everyone in the home has also developed their own freedom,
from a family where the man and woman will experience and live through situations that they will resolve with the hope and
grace of God. In Psalm 128 as the poet has said as well “all homes are a candelabra”.
Fill the earth, as God tells us upon creating us, for if the parents are the foundation of the family, then the children are the
rocks of that foundation, which are the fruit from the love of man and woman.
But we know that the road is not smooth, it is filled with difficulties, suffering and pain and also filled with joy and hope
which will only be possible through the unity of love from the strength and help from our Lord.
It is said in Psalm 128 “ What your hands provide you will enjoy; you will be blessed and prosper”, it is also said in Genesis,
God tells us how he took man and “ put him in the Garden of Eden so he can cultivate and put away so it may give fruit”.
The experience of Christian matrimony and of the family, all though not perfect, but where the qualities and virtues should
always go hand in hand. In today’s superficial and frantic society we are tempted to quickly forget the urgency and need of a
tender and loving embrace.
God Bless You
Amoris Leatitia II
Del capítulo 1 a la LUZ DE LA PALABRA. Tu y tu esposa. Tus hijos como brotes de olivo. Un sendero de sufrimientos y de
sangre.

KEEP PRAYING
St. Monica, whose feast we celebrate in August, is often known as “the persistent mother.” She watched her
oldest son, Augustine, turn his back on his Christian faith.
Monica was exasperated. For years she gave up talking directly to her son on the advice of a local bishop, who
told her that it was better to talk to God about Augustine then to Augustine about God.
The mother never gave up praying for her son. Eventually Augustine gave up his wild ways, was baptized, and
later ordained and named bishop of Hippo. St. Augustine went on to become one of the Church’s greatest scholars.
Today’s readings address the importance of persistent prayer. Abraham, in spite of trepidation that he is bothering
the Lord, continues to ask about the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah. Jesus, in Luke’s Gospel, tells his disciples to “ask
and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” (Luke 11:9). This is our
charge: keep praying.

TREASURES FROM OUR TRADITION
Sometimes when bishops are consecrated, they are not given the care of a diocese as an “ordinary.” A very old
tradition, however, assures that they are invested with a “see,” a link with a local church. Many hundreds of places
around the world were dioceses at one time, but are no longer. In England, for example, some of the historic dioceses
such as London, Salisbury, and Manchester ceased to be Catholic at the Reformation and their cathedrals passed to
the Church of England. The reestablishment of the Catholic Church in the nineteenth century meant that new dioceses
had to be created, such as at Liverpool and Westminster. Similarly, in Scandinavia the ancient Catholic dioceses
vanished under Lutheranism. In North Africa, tiny dioceses disappeared under the sands or were swept away by
Islam.
In the United States, some original dioceses never really developed as population centers, such as the old dioceses
of Bardstown, Vincennes, Sault Ste. Marie, or Walla Walla. The tradition of “titular sees” assures that the ancient
churches are always held in prayer, as the bishop celebrates Mass in its memory a few times a year.

SIGUE REZANDO

bajo tierra (Ucu pacha).
