LAGARES PRODUCCIONS DE DISSENY,S.L. tiene más de 80 años de experiencia. Nacida en 1918 como
carpintería, diferentes transformaciones nos han hecho evolucionar hasta nuestros días, donde desde hace
más de quince años nos especializamos en la manipulación de materiales de superficie sólida, este hecho
nos convierte en una de las empresas punteras en la manipulación y transformación de estos materiales
y sobresaliendo especialmente por encima de todos ellos, el CORIAN, material que destaca por sus altas
prestaciones tanto en la libertad formal como en la resistencia al uso, que le sitúa en franca competencia
con materiales como la porcelana o el acero inoxidable.

racionalidad de RCR-Arquitectos, uno de los estudios que es obligado punto de referencia en el panorama
actual de la Arquitectura y el diseño.
En LAGARES estamos sensibilizados con el medioambiente por ello gestionamos nuestros sistema de
trabajo y los residuos que se generan de forma que cada vez sean menos agresivos con el ecosistema.

INTRODUCCIÓN / INTRODUCTION
LAGARES PRODUCCIONS DE DISSENY S.L. has over 80 years’ experience. Born in 1918 as a carpentry,
different transformations have made us develop into what we are nowadays, a company which for over
fifteen years has specialized in the manipulation of solid surface materials, a fact which has made us
one of the leading companies in the manipulation and transformation of these materials, among which
CORIAN stands out because of its great performance, its adaptability for different purposes as well as
its resistance to wearing. These features place this material in direct competition with materials such as
porcelain or stainless steel.
Our background has taken us to a current time in which our cooperation with TRES COMERCIAL S.A.,
together with the enlargement of our premises in Olot, both in terms of our working area and in the use of
leading technologies forecast an amazing and rewarding future for our company.
At LAGARES thorough care is taken of every detail in our products, and this reason has consolidated our
brand as a leading company to be taken as a major reference in a new water culture. The design of our
products is backed by many well-known architectural companies among which RCR- ARQUITECTES is one of
the most outstanding references in current architectural work and design.
At LAGARES we care for the environment and for this reason we try to reduce as much as possible any
harmful effects on the environment due to our working methods and production waste. We also have a
policy of quality work and so our products are designed and manufactured under thorough quality controls
in order to offer our most demanding customers the best products in the market.

Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem y Ramon Vilalta acabaron sus estudios en la Escuela Técnica Superior de
Arquitectura del Vallès en el año 1987 y desde 1988 trabajan juntos, ahora bajo el nombre de RCR
ARQUITECTES en su ciudad natal Olot. Desde el año 1989 son arquitectos asesores del Parque Natural de
la Zona Volcánica de la Garrotxa y han sido profesores de Proyecto, Urbanismo y Arquitectura del Paisaje
en la ESTAV y ESTAB.
Han ganado distintos concursos nacionales e internacionales desde el Faro en Punta Aldea en el año 1988
hasta los más recientes; el Crematorio de Hofheide en Bélgica y la nueva sede de Meditel en Casablanca.
Han recibido numerosas distinciones a la obra entre las que destacan dos obras finalistas (Espacios para
el ocio y la cultura en Riudaura y Estadio de Atletismo Tussols-Basil en Olot) en los premios de la Unión
Europea Mies Van der Rohe; 5 premios FAD; Premio ex-aequo IV Premi Europeu de Paisatge Rosa Barba a
la obra Parque de Piedra Tosca en Les Preses. Son Premio Nacional de Cultura en Arquitectura 2005 de
La Generalitat Catalunya.
Han participado en exposiciones internacionales como en el año 1990, en el III Salon International de
l’Architecture en París; en el 1993, en el XVIII Congreso de la UIA en Chicago; en los años 2000, 2002 y
2006 en la Bienal de Venecia; en el año 2004, en la New Trends of Architecture in Europe and Asia-Pacific
2004-05; y en los años 2005-06 en Eurasia Extrema Expo Aichi en Japón y Madrid. Sus exposiciones
individuales (Works 1988-98) han tenido lugar en Tokio, (Exfoliacions) en España y (RCR Arquitectes) en
Bielefeld, Alemania. Finalmente han participado en On-Site: New Architecture in Spain en Nueva York y
Madrid.
Autores de ensayos y artículos sobre arquitectura y paisaje, destacan libros como “Enquadraments”,
“Destellos”,... Han sido invitados para dar varias conferencias en distintas ciudades españolas y en el
extranjero, su obra ha sido ampliamente publicada en libros y revistas, especializadas y no especializadas,
destacando las monografías de El Croquis nº115-116 (III) y “RCR Aranda Pigem Vilalta Arquitectes. Y el
libro Entre la abstracción y la naturaleza” de GG.
DISEÑO / DESIGN
Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramon Vilalta finished their university degrees at the Technical School
of Architecture of El Vallès in 1987 and since 1988 they have been working together as RCR- ARQUITECTES
in their hometown, Olot. They have been working as consultant architects for the National Park in the
Volcanic Area of La Garrotxa since 1989 and they have also taught Project, Town Planning and Landscape
Architecture at ESTAV and ESTAB.
Their company has been awarded at several national and international contests, ranging those awards
from the Lighthouse in Punta Aldea in 1988 to the most recent ones such as the Crematorium in Hofheide,
Belgium, and Meditel new headquarters in Casablanca. The company works have often been short-listed and
two of its most outstanding projects “Spaces for Leisure and Culture” in Riudaura, and “Athletics Stadium
Tussols-Basil” in Olot have been awarded the European Union Mies Van der Rohe’s award. The company has
also been given five FAD awards, the Ex-aequo award and the IV European Landscape Award Rosa Barba for
“Pedra Tosca Park” in Les Preses, and recently the National Culture Award in Architecture 2005 awarded
by La Generalitat de Catalunya.
This company has taken part in many international exhibitions among which should be mentioned the III
International Exhibition of Architecture in 1990 in Paris; the XVIII UIA Congress in Chicago in 1993; the
Biennal of Venice in 2000, 2002 and 2006; the “New Trends in Architecture in Europe and Asia-Pacific
2004-2005” in 2004; and”Eurasia Extreme Expo Aichi” in Japan and Madrid in 2005 and 2006.
The architects in this company have also had individual exhibitions known as “Works 1988-1998” held in
Tokyo under the title “Exfoliacions” and in Brelefed, Germany as “RCR Arquitectes”. Finally they have also
taken part in “On-Site: New Architecture in Spain”, both in New York and Madrid.
Also known as authors of essays and articles about Architecture and Landscape, they have published
important books such as “Enquadraments” and “Destellos” among others. Furthermore, these authors
have carried out several lectures in different Spanish cities as well as abroad, and their work has been
widely published both in specialized and non-specialized books and magazines among which it is worth
mentioning the monographs “El Croquis nº115-116 (III)” and “RCR Aranda Pigem Vilalta Arquitectes”
together with the book “Entre la Abstracción y

la Naturaleza” by GG.

Los modelos de lavamanos de LAGARES inician una línea de diseño basada en la horizontalidad y la
planitud de los objetos.
Los lavamanos de la firma LAGARES, están fabricados con CORIAN material de superficie sólida, resultado
de una combinación de acrílicos ultra resistentes con minerales naturales.
Estos diseños unen a la belleza y a la simplicidad formal y funcional unas importantes características
técnicas:
- Desagües lineales que no requieren de ninguna pieza adicional.
- El material permite generar una superficie continua, sin juntas, hecho que facilita la higiene.
- La instalación es sumamente fácil, basta colocar las escuadras de Acero Inoxidable que acompañan a las
piezas, fijar el lavamanos a las escuadras y realizar las conexiones de agua y desagüe para su perfecto
funcionamiento.
El ámbito de uso no se limita al baño domestico, sino que gracias a la facilidad de limpieza y resistencia
al uso, permite su colocación y utilización en el ámbito publico. A destacar que la versatilidad de las
piezas facilita la colocación seriada de forma ilimitada, prácticamente sin juntas.
LAGARES washbasin models start a design line based on the horizontal features and the flatness of
objects. LAGARES washbasins are manufactured with a solid surface material, CORIAN, which is the result
of combining ultraresistant acrylics with natural minerals.
These designs offer not only formal and functional beauty and simplicity but also important technical
features:
- Linear water outlets which do not require a plug.
- The material allows a continuous surface without any joints which facilitates hygiene.
- Very easy installation. Just attach the squares of stainless steel which go with the pieces , fix the
washbasin to the squares and connect the water supply and the outlet.
This washbasin can be used not only for domestic use but also for public use thanks to its resistance to
wear and ease of cleaning. It is important to mention that several washbasins can be joined one next to
another with hardly noticeable joints.

Presentado en primicia en la Feria Internacional de Frankfurt ISH.
El lavabo PLA inicia una línea de diseño basada en la horizontalidad y la planitud de los objetos, hecho que provoca
un cambio en la concepción de los sanitarios que abandonan la ausencia de movimiento, favorecida por la idea de
contenedor y estancamiento a favor de un desplazamiento del agua potenciado por la dirección de los planos.
First presented at the ISH International Fair in Frankfurt.
The washbasin PLA has a design line based on the horizontal features and the flatness of the objects which leads
to a change in the conception of sanitary products. This new approach abandons the absence of movement which is
replaced by the concepts of containers and stagnation in which water desplacement is reinforced by the direction
of the washbasin planes.

El nacimiento del lavabo PLA1 surge de una revisión y una puesta en crisis de los conceptos que a priori conforman
el funcionamiento y la imagen de los sanitarios convencionales. Esta creación desde cero, de hacer el vacío,
replantea en primer lugar la elección del material para proyectar después en coherencia con este, juntamente con
una búsqueda de formas esenciales. El resultado es un objeto nuevo que provoca un cambio tipológico, olvidando
el lavabo como contenedor.
The birth of PLA1 comes from the questioning and updating of the criteria applied in the design of conventional
sanitary products and their function. Our new design, from scratch, made us first think about the choice of material
to be used and, later on, designing according to it, along with the search of essential shapes. The result is a new
object, leading to a change in typology, which does not consider washbasins as mere containers.

La aportación de esta pieza radica en el replanteamiento de la forma y la medida de la pieza de lavabo entendida
como objeto de diseño para espacios reducidos. La curvatura de la superficie sólida, que es termoconformada, nos
remite a una imagen de contenedor, así como su uso. Y la evacuación del agua se realiza con la ranura propia de
toda la colección.
The contribution of this piece lies on its new approach to shapes and measures since this piece is understood as a
design object for reduced spaces. The curvature of its solid thermoformed surface reminds us of a container as well
as of its use. Water evacuation is made through the characteristic groove that features all the collection.

El lavabo TRIANGLE no es una pieza deudora de la tipología más convencional sino que se aleja y aporta una nueva
estética atrevida, práctica y funcional ideal para espacios reducidos.
The washbasin TRIANGLE is considered to be a non-conventional piece since it takes us to new daring aesthetics,
which is not only practical and functional but also ideal for reduced spaces.

El lavabo TRONC ha sido una de las primeras piezas de LAGARES, donde podemos ver los primeros intentos de
alejarse del diseño cotidiano y tradicional.
Se trata de un cilindro con una pequeña inclinación, donde todos los elementos superfluos quedan escondidos en el
interior dejando en el exterior solo los esenciales. Es ideal para cualquier tipo de espacio.
The washbasin TRONC was one of the first pieces by LAGARES
in which we can see our first attempts to move away
from the daily traditional design.
It consists of a cylinder with a slight inclination where everything superfluous is hidden inside leaving outside just
the essential elements. This washbasin is ideal for any spaces.

Los platos de ducha de la serie NET de LAGARES han sido reconocidos con prestigiosos premios, por
ser primicia mundial en su planicidad absoluta, su sistema de desagüe y su construcción en superficie
sólida.
Este diseño suma a la belleza y la simplicidad unas importantes características técnicas:
- La superficie de uso puede quedar enrasada al pavimento, por lo que es accesible con silla de ruedas y
existe la opción con desagüe de sólidos.
- El material es antideslizante, por lo que permite una superficie lisa lo que facilita la higiene.
- La simplicidad de montaje y la superficie registrable permiten una fácil colocación y mantenimiento.
The shower bases NET by LAGARES have obtained prestigious awards for being a worldwide novelty because
of their absolute flatness, their outlet system and their manufacturation in solid surface.
This elegant design offers not only beauty and simplicity but also some important technical features:
- The shower base can be installed at floor level, being thus accessible for wheelchair users. There is
also an available optional outlet for solids.
- The material is non-skid which allows the surface to be smooth and also facilitates hygiene.
- The assembling simplicity and the removable surface allow easy installation and maintenance.

La planitud de la ducha se consigue colocando una plataforma sobre del vaso perimetral de recogida del agua, que al
ser de acero inoxidable permite reducir drásticamente un canto ya mínimo de por si gracias al uso de la superfície
sólida, y que permite albergar el sifón en la parte central justo bajo de la tapa registrable.
Las estrías y rugosidades típicas de los platos de ducha se pueden eliminar gracias a la propiedad antideslizante
del material, que permite expresar la superficie lisa. Por otra parte, y juntamente con el hecho de que el plato
quede enrasado con el pavimiento, permite la accesibilidad con silla de ruedas, existe la opción con desagüe de
solidos.
The flatness of the shower base succeeds in placing a platform on the perimetral water-collection receptacle made
of stainless steel which allows to reduce drastically one edge thanks to the use of the solid surface. It also allows
the siphon to be placed in the central part just under the removable surface.
The typical grooves and roughs of shower bases can be eliminated thanks to the antiskid characteristic of the
material we use which allows to have a completely smooth surface. On the other hand the fact that the shower base
is placed at floor level allows wheelchair access. There is also an available version with outlet for solids.

LAGARES lanzó al mercado internacional este modelo, presentándolo en primicia en la Feria Internacional
de Frankfurt ISH
El urinario RASS es la pieza que inaugura la búsqueda de las posibilidades de las superficies sólidas
aplicadas al mundo de los sanitarios. El objeto sorprende por su frescor y la radicalidad del resultado,
ya que se parte de cero para proponer tipologías nuevas, primero cuestionando el material y después
planteando la forma y la funcionalidad del urinario tradicional.
Esta pieza recurre a líneas ligeramente curvadas y proporciones esbeltas, en un intento de dignificar el
urinario, idea reforzada por el uso del acero inoxidable entendido como material noble, la preocupación
del desagüe, que se convierte en una ínfima línea y la desaparición aparente del sifón.
LAGARES launched this model at the international ISH Fair in Frankfurt.
The RASS urinal is the piece which opened up the search for the possibilities of the solid surfaces
applied to the sanitary field. This urinal is amazing for its originality and radical result as it starts from
scratch to put forward new typologies, first in terms of material and then challenging the shape and the
functionality of traditional urinals.
This piece uses slightly curved lines and graceful proportions in an attempt to dignify urinals. This idea
is reinforced by the use of stainless steel understood as a noble material and our concern for the outlet
which turns into a narrow groove together with the siphon placed in a non-visible position.

Un elemento de diseño contundente, una imagen robusta y compacta, sin elementos añadidos
que dificultan su limpieza. Los grifos EKE son un prisma horizontal que surge de un plano
vertical, en versión mural, o un prisma inclinado que surge de un plano horizontal en la versión
de encimera.
This is an element of convincing design with a robust and compact image without added elements
which make its cleaning easier. These EKE taps are horizontal prisms arising from a vertical
plane in their wall version, or leaning prisms arising from a horizontal plane in the worktop
version.

¿Quién no ha puesto un caño en una fuente para beber? Tan simple como eso. Robusto, decidido, sin accesorios,
fácil de limpiar. Los grifos EKE son un caño.
El sensor, o un pulsador de pie, abre la fuente y da origen a un chorro de agua continuo, en estos grifos para
lavabos. El latón, entre otros, es su material. Y su colocación, en rosca, se equipara a los demás.
Who has not placed a cane in a fountain for the purpose of drinking? As simple as this. Robust, determined, without
accessories, easy to clean. The EKE taps are canes. The sensor turns on the fountain to let out a continuous flow
of water from these taps to their respective washbasins. Brass among other materials is used and its placement is
similar to the rest of taps.

Los sanitarios de LAGARES están fabricados con CORIAN. Este material es una mezcla de minerales naturales y
acrílicos transparentes. Se trata de un material solido con una superficie homogénea, dura, duradera y no porosa por
lo que no absorbe ni líquidos ni olores lo que garantiza una higiene total. Gracias a estas características físicas el
CORIAN resiste perfectamente la rutina y el trabajo diario sin perder la imagen del primer día.
Todos nuestros modelos de sanitarios apenas necesitan mantenimiento para conservar el aspecto del primer día. Los
productos habituales de limpieza del hogar son los mas indicados para el mantenimiento de nuestros productos, al
ser una superficie no porosa impide el desarrollo de moho y gérmenes.
Para eliminar las manchas más difíciles así como posibles quemaduras, aplicar un producto de limpieza ligeramente
abrasivo con una esponja tipo “scotchbrite”.
Los golpes leves no dañan el material, en cualquier caso se recomienda evitar el uso de objetos punzantes y cortar
directamente sobre la superficie del material.
LAGARES sanitary products are manufactured with CORIAN. This material is a malleable compound of ultraresistant
acrylics mixed with natural minerals. It is also a solid material with a homogeneous, hard, long-lasting , non-porous
surface which does not absorb either liquids or smells which guarantees total hygiene. Thanks to these physical
features of CORIAN, our products resist the daily routine use without losing their first day appearance.
All our sanitary models hardly need any maintenance in order to keep the aspect as good as on the first day. The
common cleaning products used at home are suitable for the maintenance of our products since their non-porous
surface prevents mould and germs from living there.
In order to remove the most difficult stains as well as possible burns, apply a slightly abrasive cleaning product
with a “Scotchbrite”-type sponge. Slight hits do not damage the material, but it is recommended to avoid using sharp
objects as well as cutting directly on the surface of the material.
