SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
Registration for the sacraments is a separate process.
Registration forms may be picked up from the Religious Education office.
FIRST EUCHARIST AND FIRST RECONCILIATION
Children who are ready to begin preparation for First Reconciliation (Penance) and First Communion must:
 Be 2nd grade or older
 Be currently enrolled in a formal Religious Education Program (Parish, home school or Catholic
School) and have attended a formal religious Education Program for at least one year prior to this
current year
 Be registered in the parish and attending Sunday Mass each week
 Be committed to continuing Religious Education following reception of First Eucharist
Requirements: One or both parents must attend the parent session(s) and Family Retreat Days.

CONFIRMATION
Readiness standards for Confirmation Candidates:
 10th grade or older
 Currently enrolled in a formal Religious Education Program (Parish, home school or Catholic
School) and have attended a formal religious Education Program for at least two years prior to this
current year
 Registered in the parish and attending Sunday Mass each week
Requirements for the Confirmation Process:
 Must attend the Confirmation Retreat
 Offer 30 hours of Church and Community Service (Can begin in summer after 9th grade)
 Candidate attends all confirmation classes (can miss no more than 2). Candidates continue with
regular formation (can have no more than 3 absences).
 One or both parents must attend the Parent Meeting and the Parent/Candidate meeting

El registro para los sacramentos es un proceso separado.

PRIMERA EUCARISTIA Y PRIMERA RECONCILIACION

 Estar actualmente registrado en un Programa formal de Educación Religiosa (Parroquia, estudio en el
hogar o Escuela Católica) y haber asistido a un Programa formal de Educación Religiosa por lo
menos un ano anterior al presente ano.
 Estar registrado en la parroquia y asistir a la Misa del Domingo cada semana.
 Estar comprometido a continuar la Educación Religiosa después de recibir la Primera Comunión.
Requisitos: Sé espera que uno o ambos padres asistan a las reuniones de padres y a los Días de Retiro
Familiar.

CONFIRMACION
Requisitos de preparación para Candidatos a la Confirmación:
 Decimal grado o mayores
 Estar actualmente registrado en un Programa formal Educación Religiosa (Parroquia, estudio en el
hogar o Escuela Católica) y haber asistido a un Programa formal de Educación Religiosa por lo
menos dos años anterior al presente ano
 Estar registrado en la parroquia y asistir a la Misa del Domingo cada semana
Requisitos para el Proceso de la Confirmación:
 Debe atender el Retiro de la Confirmación
 Ofrecer 30 horas de Servicio Comunitario y a la Iglesia (pueden comenzar en el verano después del
9th grado).
 No puede faltar mas de 2 clases de Confirmación y 3 clases de Formación regular en el ano
 Sé espera que uno o ambos padres asistan a las reuniones de padres. Las juntas the
padres/candidatos.
