15. Lead, Follow and Get Out of the Way: Leading Children and Parents to the Silence through which God speaks
Description: As Catechists and Catechetical Leaders we must rekindle the significance of silence in the
spiritual formation of the children and the families we serve. Our role is clear: Lead them to the silence,
follow them into the silence and then get out of the way as God speaks to them through the silence. Using a
variety of learning modalities, this workshop offers practical methods which can easily be incorporated into
your faith formation classes/programs to develop and enrich the moments of silence needed for our children
to discover their relationship with Jesus.

20.Why God Doesn’t Send E-Mails— It’s All About the Tone!
Description: How many times have you been cautioned about the potential danger of emails? A warning we
would do well to heed since 80% of communication happens through body language and tone. Is it no wonder
then that God had to send his Son so that we would rightly “hear” his message? This workshop will focus on
what Christo-centric catechesis means in our time and life situation. We will explore ways to facilitate an

46.Cultivando la espiritualidad en nuestras familias
Tema/Descripción: “Los padres son los primeros responsables de la educación de sus hijos.” (CCC 2223).
Como catequistas se nos olvida lo que el Catecismo de la iglesia Católica nos dice claramente que la formación
en la fe está situada en el hogar. En este taller se presentarán cinco ideas para fomentar, crecer y apoyar la
espiritualidad en el hogar. Ideas y manualidades creativas serán parte de la conversación. La meta de este taller
es de equipar a los catequistas para que luego ellos puedan fortalecer la catequesis en nuestras casas.
