Principal’s News
Dear Roosevelt Families,
Estimadas familias de Roosevelt,
Open House - We had great attendance at our Open
House! Thank you to the Dads’ Club for hosting the
Pasta Feed and to the 3rd grade teachers and
students for the incredible Living History
Museum. The final PBL project of the school year
will be showcased at the San Leandro History
Museum on Thursday, June 2nd. We hope you will
join us for this event.
Casa Abierta - tuvimos una gran asistencia a
nuestra Open House (Casa abierta! )
evento.
Spring Book Fair Update
We exceeded our sales goal making an incredible
$8505 net! With this fundraiser we were able to raise
$1000 for our PTA, while continuing to provide books
& educational materials to our classrooms, with an
additional $3,138 in Scholastic profits, a 48.6%
combined profit! We will reward students with a
Lunchtime Treat on June 1st.
Fencing Update - 6/1/16
We are close to completion on the fencing project.
We appreciate everyone’s patience during the
construction process. Per Fire Marshall regulations,
fencing around the playground was placed inside the
play structure instead of outside.
Front gate: We are currently reviewing the possibility
of using an alternate front gate design.
Once the project is completed, we will explore
beautification efforts similar to the iron figures
currently at Burrell Field.
Puerta delantera: Actualmente estamos
Sinceramente,
El Dra. Sablo-Sutton
Directora, Primaria Roosevelt
Sincerely, Dr. Sablo Sutton
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN …Roosevelt is in dire need of Noon Supervisors for next school year. We need
reliable adults to help us during lunch with our students. Watching them on the playground and in the
classrooms on rainy days. We will have 3 lunches next year so it will be for 1 ½ hours a day, 5 days a
week. Pay is $15.00 an hour. If you’re interested please contact the front office at 618-4350.
