UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL AUTÓNOMA DE MÉXICO PROGRAMA DE POSGRADO EN CIENCIAS DE LA TIERRA ASIGNATURA: ROCAS SEDIMENTARIAS CLÁSTICAS: PETROLOGÍA Y PROCEDENCIA Horas Teóricas: 2 Horas Prácticas: 2 Total Horas: 4 OBJETIVOS El estudiante aprenderá a identificar las propiedades y características de las rocas sedimentarias clásticas, sus tipos y clasificaciones y los procesos sedimentarios y diagenéticos que las originaron y/o modificaron. Además analizará la relación que existe entre la composición de las rocas sedimentarias clásticas y el ambiente de depósito, las condiciones climáticas y el ambiente tectónico en el cual se originaron. El curso incluye una discusión breve sobre las aplicaciones de la petrología de terrígenos a la exploración minera y petrolera, procesos actuales y geología ambiental. TEMARIO 1. INTRODUCCIÓN I. II.
