PASTOR'S NOTES
Mary, Pray for us
This past Sunday, at St. Peter’s
Square on the Feast of Our Lady of
Fatima, Pope Francis entrusted the entire world to the Blessed Mother, the
Mother of our Redeemer. How appropriate that the Holy Father should entrust
the world to Mary as October is the
month in which we call upon her in a special way to ask for the intercession of
Mary to help us along our pilgrim way.
As I reflected on Pope Francis’ entrusting the world to the Blessed Mother,
I thought about how much we need
Mary’s intercession, her prayers for peace
in the World, in our country, our community, our families and in our own hearts.
Throughout history, Mary has had many
different titles and among them is
“Queen of Peace”. Hence we turn to Mary
to pray for peace, especially for peace in
our lives. For it is when we have peace in
our own lives that we are able to herald
that peace to others.
Throughout history, there have been
many Marian prayers that have been developed to help us in asking Mary for her
intercession and of these, the most popular is the Holy Rosary. In the rosary, we
mediate in the life of Jesus, asking for the
intervention of His mother for our needs,
and at this time we ask specifically that
peace might rule in the world.
My
friends, we each need to do our part to
pray for peace. One of the ways we can
pray is by reciting the rosary with our
families at home. The rosary is a beautiful tradition the Church has given us. So
let us take the opportunity to enrich our
lives praying it for peace.
I invite you to join me in praying for peace
in the world through the intercession of
our Blessed Mother, and especially in our
lives.
Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us!

1. Bài đọc I (Hc 35,12-14.16-18): "Chúa nhậm lời kêu

4. Bài đọc II (2 Tm 4,6-8.16-18) (Chủ đề phụ): Những

mình sắp chết : (a) - Nhìn lại cuộc sống đã qua,

nuestro ministerio parroquial. Ilumínanos a
