What is the IPC?

It is a comprehensive
curriculum with a clear
process of learning and
with specific learning
goals for every subject,
for personal learning and
for international
mindedness.

objetivos específicos para
cada asignatura, para el
aprendizaje personal y
con un espíritu
internacional.
Personal Goals


The personal goals refer to
those individual qualities and
dispositions we believe children
will find essential in the 21st
century. They help to develop
those qualities that will enable
children to be at ease with the
continually changing context of
their lives. There are personal
goals for enquiry, resilience,
morality, communication,
thoughtfulness, cooperation,
respect, adaptability, creativity
and international mindedness.
Los objetivos personales se
refieren a aquellas cualidades y
tendencias individuales que
pensamos que los niños
encontrarán como algo esencial
en el siglo 21. Estos objetivos
ayudan a que esas cualidades se
desarrollen, lo que permitirá que
los niños se sientan a gusto en un
contexto que cambia
continuamente. Hay objetivos
personales sobre la investigación,
adaptación, moralidad,
comunicación, consideración,
flexibilidad, creatividad y sobre
una mente internacional.

How does the IPC differ?

The subject goals cover the
knowledge (the facts and
information children might learn),
the skills (those practical abilities
children need to be able to do) and
the understandings (the deeper
awareness of key concepts which
develops over time). There are
subject Learning Goals for
Language Arts, Mathematics,
Science, Information Technology,
Design Technology, History,
Geography, Music, Physical
Education, Art and Society.

Los objetivos de las asignaturas
cubren el conocimiento (los hechos
y la información que aprenden los
niños), las habilidades (las destreza
práctica que los niños necesitan
saber hacer) y el entendimiento (la
conciencia más profunda de los
conceptos que se desarrollan). Hay
objetivos de aprendizaje en las
asignaturas de lengua,
matemáticas, ciencias,
informática, tecnología, historia,
geografía, música, educación
física, plástica y sociedad.

What is noise pollution?

Are any of the children personally affected
by noise pollution at home?

Do they live next to a busy road or a noisy
restaurant or have a noisy neighbour?

Where and why is noise pollution a problem?

Which groups of people are affected by
noise pollution?

Do people have any rights with regard to
noise pollution?

Thoughtfulness
Ask the children to write a report
about noise pollution in an area
that is affected greatly by it. They
should put forward an argument
explaining what needs to change
and how change might be
implemented.

Thoughtfulness
Pedir a los niños que escriban un
informe sobre la contaminación

podría implementarse este cambio.
