Happy Easter everyone! This is a day that changed the
world's history, and changed your and my life. Jesus'
resurrection is amazing stuff, it's the power of God breaking
into our broken world and bringing God's new life, resurrected
life, to all of us.
Jesus' resurrection from the dead is our promise of
resurrection. We won't be bodily revived as Jesus was, but
we will be spiritually revived as God takes us to heaven. And
resurrection doesn't just wait until we die: the more we love
and follow Jesus is this life (before we die) the more we will
feel his resurrection power flowing in our lives now,
bringing us his peace, love and joy.

Lenten Program
Living the Eucharist
The weeks of faith sharing in small groups
has made our Lenten season so much more
meaningful and positive. May God continue to bless us with
His abundant grace. Let us strive to keep the flame of our faith
glowing so that the light can be a beacon for others in times of
darkness. There are plenty of options to keep meeting in small
groups. Let us know if you need resources for continuing your
faith sharing.

Faith Sharing Potluck—Mark your calendars for Monday,
April 13th at 6:00 pm in the parish hall to evaluate our small faith
sharing process. We will have special guests join us—our
neophytes! Our new Catholics will want to learn from you how
one can become involved in the spiritual growth of our parish
community. Bring your favorite dish and the parish will provide
table settings and coffee/water.

Fr. Don will have a short presentation and simple question and
answer session for anyone who came to our Easter Mass and
is interested in learning more about our Catholic faith. This is
especially for people that may have been away for a while from
active participation in the church, or people that have never been
active in the Catholic Church. Thursday, Apr. 9th at 7pm in the
church library.

Adult Confirmation Class
Fr. Don will be teaching a three week preparation class for adults
for the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursdays Apr. 16-30 at
7-8:00pm. Never been Confirmed? Join our classes and receive
the sacrament on 5/16. Call the office to RSVP.

Fr. Don is away at his niece's wedding.

activities. Many people did a lot of work to help us all worship

We are looking for some chefs to help with our Friday Night
Community Suppers. We need help especially on the 4th Friday of
the month, and could use more help on the 2nd Friday as well.

Msgr. Greg Moys (pastor of St. Paul Parish) will celebrate his 50th
anniversary of ordination with a special Mass at 11:00am on
Sunday April 19. Reception will follow.
¡Feliz Pascua! Este es un día que cambió la historia del

haya vivido mucho más significativa y positiva. Que Dios continúe a

Clase preparatoria para Confirmación de adultos
El Padre Don estará enseñando una clase de preparación tres semanas
para los adultos para el Sacramento de la Confirmación los jueves 16
al 30 de abril de 7:00 a 8:00 pm. ¿Nunca a sido Confir mado?
Asista a nuestras clases para prepararse para el sacramento que se
celebrará el 16 de mayo. Llame a la oficina para confirmar su asistencia.

The Pastoral Council is looking for dynamic parish members
to join the council and represent the St. Peter Parish Community at
large. There are three 2-year positions that are open. 2 Hispanic and
1 Anglo. Commitment is attending monthly meetings and being the
voice for the parishioners.
The term is from August 1st to July 31st of the second year.
If this sounds like a good way for you to be more engaged in your
parish, please submit your name to Fr. Don by contacting the Parish
Office (in person, calling, or e-mail), putting you name in the
collection basket, or giving your name to Fr. Don personally.

We encourage parents to reflect on these
questions at home each week with their children

April 5 *Easter Sunday
*John 20:1-9
This reading from the Gospel of John tells the story of Easter
morning. It tells us how Mary Magdala went to the tomb where Jesus had been laid and found the tomb empty - except for the clothes
in which Jesus had been buried! She then ran to tell Simon Peter and
some of the other disciples this amazing news. They, too, ran to the
tomb, saw that only the burial clothes were in it, and BELIEVED!
Mary spread the “Good News” of the empty tomb. How do you
spread the Good News? Have you had an experience that helps you
believe in the resurrection? Explain.
Look at the examples in the Bible story for hints.

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!! Our monthly meeting
will be this coming Tuesday, April 7th. Rosary will begin

Pre-School Corner
Pre-Schoolers—Last week was spring
break and oh, what fun! The children spent quality time with family
and extended family. So did their teacher! Some went to the beach
and some stay close to home. They all had fond memories to
share. The marigolds on our window sills are still growing because
they are well loved. The children talk to the flowers of their love.
They know God is the source of the love for flowers and for them.
We have openings for the School year 2015-2016. Pick up your

Prayer for Vocations—
He said to them "Come and See." They came and saw where he was
staying (John 1:39). God of all nations, we are most grateful for the
first Catholic missionaries and explorers who came to the United
States. As strangers in a strange land they brought with them
countless skills, talents and traditions, but their greatest treasure was
their faith. May the good News of Jesus Christ, which molded and
shaped their lives, continue to mold and shape our lives today. Bless
our Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon with men and women who
will follow in their footsteps to serve the Church as religious
brothers, sisters, priests, and deacons. Amen

¡FELIZ PASCUA A TODOS! Nuestra reunión mensual
será el próximo martes, 07 de abril. Comenzará con el

cómo hacer mantas para los pacientes moribundos. Esto puede ser un

Rincón de los Pre-EscolaresNiños Pre-Escolares—La semana pasada fue
de vacaciones de primavera y, ¡oh, qué divertido! Los niños pasaron
tiempo de calidad con la familia y la familia extendida. ¡Lo mismo
hizo su maestra! Algunos fueron a la playa y algunos se quedan cerca
de casa. Todos ellos tenían buenos recuerdos para compartir. Las
caléndulas en las ventanas siguen creciendo porque son muy amadas.
Los niños hablan a las flores con amor. Ellos saben que Dios es la
fuente de amor para las flores y para ellos.

Oración por las Vocaciones—
Él les dijo: “Ven y Ve”. Fueron, pues, vieron dónde se hospedaba
(Juan 1:39). Dios de todas las naciones, estamos muy agradecidos por
los primeros misioneros católicos y exploradores que llegaron a los
Estados Unidos. Como extranjeros en una tierra extraña trajeron con
ellos habilidades incontables, los talentos y las tradiciones, pero su
mayor tesoro era su fe. La Buena Nueva de Jesucristo, moldo y formo
sus vidas. Que sigan moldando y formando nuestras vidas hoy.
Bendice nuestra Arquidiócesis de Portland en Oregon con hombres y
mujeres que sigan sirviendo a la Iglesia como religiosos, religiosas,
