Museum of Alicante for a period of
six months. The sculpture is part of a

of the Hellenistic period for the first
time which is funded by the British
museum. Marbles, ceramics, terracottas, bronzes, coins and inscriptions never shown before outside the
British Museum are part of the exhibition on the ideal of beauty in Ancient Greece.

entre las comarcas de
L'Alcoià, El Comtat y La
Vall d'Albaida, constituye uno de los territorios valencianos
en los que se concentran en mayor
medida valores medioambientales, paisajísticos y socioculturales de especial relevancia. Constituida
mayoritariamente
por materiales calizos, la intensa actividad tectónica ha generado un macizo con una topografía muy variada, que alcanza su máxima agresividad en el extremo
nord-oriental, sector en el que se sitúan también las máximas alturas,
presididas por los 1.390 metros del
emblemático Montcabrer. Los im-

portantes acuíferos de Mariola, recogidos ya por el reconocido biólogo valenciano Cavanilles, dan lugar
a innumerables fuentes, manantiales y arroyos que salpican toda la superficie de la sierra.

Por su larga historia de ocupación e
interacción humana los diversos
usos ejercidos sobre los recursos naturales de la sierra han acabado configurando un excepcional mosaico
de ecosistemas y paisajes, que sintetizan, como pocos territorios valen-
artístico, se hace imprescindible,
sobre todo después de haber contemplado la impresionante panorámica desde la carretera. Cuenta con
un peculiar trazado de calles, al más
puro estilo árabe, con subidas y bajadas, escalas, vueltas, plazuelas, callejones... Un paseo por
las empinadas calles,
al que es conveniente
ir con calzado apropiado, nos descubrirá rincones de gran
belleza. Uno de los
monumentos más conocidos de la
población es la Plaza de Toros. Es la
más antigua de la Comunitat Valenciana, pues data de 1843. Es una pieza única y singular por su originalidad, ya que está excavada en su mayor parte en roca viva. La idea de la
construcción de la Plaza de Toros fue
de Manuel López Rovira, propietario de una fábrica de paños. Durante la primera mitad del siglo XIX, la
industria textil sufrió una fuerte crisis y para remediar la desocupación
queña población de 650 habitantes
donde se respira una tranquilidad
envidiable. Uno de los rasgos más
característicos de Agres es su peculiar relación con la nieve, ya que éste fue el negocio más importante del
pueblo durante muchos siglos. El agente productor de hielo por excelencia es la
nieve. Sobre esta
materia, tan perecedera, las culturas
mediterráneas alzaron un comercio
muy sólido y vigoroso. Para poder
conservar la nieve durante las épocas del año más calidas se construyeron las denominadas cavas,
construcciones que se repartían por
la Serra Mariola y que forman parte
del paisaje de la zona.
Más de la mitad del Parque
Natural de la Sierra de Mariola
pertenece a Bocairent
existente, en una reunión del gremio local, se le ocurrió la idea de
construir una plaza de toros y que
los obreros fueran los propios trabajadores textiles.

Bocairent se encuentra a 73 kilómetros de
Altea y a 83 km de Calpe. La carretera
(CV-700) que lleva a la población bordea
por su vertiente derecha la Sierra Mariola
y desde ella se puede contemplar en su
amplitud la belleza de la zona. Por su
parte, Agres está situada en la CV-700,
diez kilómetros antes de llegar a la
población de Bocairent.

Este comercio, que tanto auge tuvo desde el siglo XV al siglo XX,
desapareció de golpe debido a un
avance tecnológico, la creación de
hielo artificialmente, por lo que
muchos depósitos situados en áreas urbanas desaparecieron rápidamente; otros han tenido una inmediata degradación; y finalmente
otros quedan olvidados y solitarios
en las sierras de la Comunitat Valenciana, mostrando a todos sus
grandes pozos y paredes.
Uno de los lugares más conocidos de
Agres es su convento. La afluencia
de gente a este entorno se cuenta por
millares semanalmente, tanto por
su importancia religiosa como por
su entorno natural, ya que está situado dentro mismo de la Sierra Mariola y de su parque natural.
La tradición narra que el último día
de agosto del año 1484, la Parroquia
de Santa María de Alicante se incendió por completo, y que la Imagen
de la Virgen desapareció. Según
cuenta la historia, un pastor de
Agres encontró a la Virgen, en los
alrededores de la población, cerca
de las ruinas del castillo musulmán.
La Imagen fue transportada a la
iglesia, pero al día siguiente había
desaparecido. Y se encontró nuevamente en el lugar donde había aparecido. Por ello, interpretaron que
el deseo de la Virgen era ser venerada en aquel mismo lugar, construyéndose en un principio una humilde ermita.
En su primera época destacó por su
modestia y austeridad. El principal
ingreso de la casa procedía de la limosna y las ofrendas de los fieles.
Pero fue tal el reconocimiento y la
asistencia que se realizaba al Santuario de la Virgen, que a petición
del Rey Felipe II, el Papa Sixto V
otorgó en el año 1586 una bula que
concedía la gracia de pedir limosna
por todos los reinos de España.
Las distancias que separaban los pueblos de donde procedían los peregrinos del Santuario hacían imposible
que en una jornada se realizara el viaje. Por eso los fieles debían pernoctar en el mismo Santuario, perturbando la tranquilidad de los religiosos. Esto dio lugar a plantearse la
construcción de un edificio que sirviese de hospedaje (independiente
del convento). El edificio del que hoy
aún podemos contemplar sus ruinas,
se construyó en el año 1649, y estuvo en uso hasta el fin de la exclaustración de 1835. Después fue deteriorándose hasta principios de la década de los 80 cuando se realizaron las
últimas reformas, tanto en el interior
como en la cubierta del edificio.

he Sierra Mariola, located between the counties of L'Alcoià, El Comtat and La Vall d'Albaida, constitute one of the parts of
Valencia where particularly significant
environmental,
landscape and sociocultural values overlap. The Sierra Mariola is a massive limestone massif with
a highly varied topography as a result of
the intense tectonic
activity it endures. It reaches its
greatest assertiveness at the northwestern end a sector where the peaks are found, towered over by the
1,389 metres of the emblematic
Montcabrer.

The important aquifers of Mariola,
documented long ago by the distinguished regional botanist Cavanilles, give rise to countless springs
and streams scattered throughout
of ecosystems and landscapes,
which synthesise, like few territories in Valencia do, the basic characteristics and peculiarities of the
Mediterranean mid-height mountain range, an aspect
that has made the
Sierra de Mariola a
genuine sign of
identity for the surrounding villages.
More than half of the
Sierra Mariola Nature Park belongs to
Bocairent. The distinctive orographic
location of this settlement has favoured the development of different cultures throughout its history. Archaeological findings in the
“Cave of Vinalopó” and the “Sarsa”
and Iberian settlements located on

man’s presence in the range since
the Neolithic period
A visit to the old part of town, declared historical heritage, is essential after having viewed the breathtaking scene from the
road. Explore the peculiar street layout, in
pure Arab style that
climb and descend,
with stairways, turns,
small squares, narrow
streets… Walk through
the steep streets, for
which we recommend to wear appropriate footwear, and discover
beautiful hidden places. One of the
most famous monuments in town
is the bullring. It is the oldest one in
the Comunidad Valenciana and dates from 1843. It is a highly unique
and original style since it was mostly
dug out of the rock. It was Manuel López Rovira, a textile factory owner,
who had the idea to construct the
bullring. During the first half of the
XIX century, the textile industry suffered a severe crisis that meant the
peace and quiet. An unquestionable
symbol of this area is its peculiar relationship with snow, which was the
most important local business for
many centuries. The main production agent of ice is snow. And over this
perishable substance, Mediterranean
cultures built a solid
and vigorous trade.
To store the snow during the summer
they built “cavas”
(snow wells) all over
the Sierra Mariola
which now form part of the scenery
of these areas.
This trade grew significantly from the
XV to the XX century then suddenly
disappeared as a result of technological advances, mainly the artificial
production of ice that closed many of
the wells closest to urban areas.
More than half of the Sierra
Mariola Nature Park belongs
to Bocairent

away) we find Agres, a small village of

week both because of its religious
importance and natural beauty set

According to tradition, the last day
of August of 1484, the parish church
of Santa Maria de Alicante completely burnt and the Image of the Virgin disappeared. The story tells that
a local shepherd found the Virgin in
the vicinity of the town close to the
ruins of the Muslim castle.
The Image was taken to the church,
but disappeared again on the following day. And was found again in
the same spot as before. It was
thought that it was the Virgin’s
wish to be venerated in that same
place so they built what initially
was a simple chapel.
During its first period it stood out
as a modest and austere construction. The main source of income came from the alms and offerings of
the congregation. But the Virgin’s
sanctuary received such recognition and such great number of visitors, that upon the request of King
Philip II, the Pope Sixtus V granted
it in 1586 a papal bull that authorized to beg alms throughout the
kingdoms of Spain.
The villages from where the pilgrims
arrived were too far to cover the distance in a single day. Thus, they
slept in the Sanctuary disturbing the
peace of priests and monks. As a result, the idea of building a lodging
(independent of the convent) was
put forward. The ruins of this edifice can still be seen today but it was
built in 1649 and was in use until the
end of the secularization of 1835. After that, it slowly deteriorated until
the beginning of the 1980s when the
latest alterations were done inside
as well as on the roof.

Rosana Pastor es una figura destacada en la escena cinematográfica tanto
valenciana como nacional. Después de diecisiete años viviendo en Madrid decidió
volver a Valencia, su tierra natal, donde había cursado arte dramático y donde inició
su carrera como actriz. Después de éxitos tan importantes como Tierra y libertad,
película por la que ganó un Premio Goya, o Juana la Loca, Rosana Pastor ha vuelto a
hacerse un hueco en el difícil panorama artístico de nuestro país con La conjura del
Escorial, película por la que ha estado este año nominada al Goya como mejor actriz

¿Cómo empezó su carrera profesional? Mi carrera profesional empezó después de terminar mis estudios en la Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Valencia. El mismo
verano que me licencié y nuestro
maestro y catedrático de interpretación decidió contar con algunos
de nosotros para participar en una
obra que dirigía. En el cine llegó
unos años más tarde, yo continuaba trabajando en el teatro. Me encontraba en Barcelona trabajando
a las órdenes de Pere Planella, uno
de los fundadores de Teatre Lliure,
y surgió un papel en la película
Quien te quiere Babel. Pero la película que lanzó mi carrera cinematográfica fue la segunda que hice,
Un negro con un saxo, de Francesc
Bellmunt, con guión del valenciano Ferran Torrent.
Cuenta con una amplia trayectoria
artística y ha trabajado tanto en
proyectos de la Comunitat Valenciana como nacionales o interna-

este es el trabajo que yo sé hacer, que
amo y que me apasiona; casi más que
cuando tenía veinte años y esto es
algo que lo siento claramente. A pesar de los años que han pasado y de
que no es un oficio fácil, conservo
una parte de la ilusión que me hizo
ser actriz y tengo la capacidad de
apasionarme con cada personaje y
de que signifique todo en mi vida en
el momento en que tengo que entregarme a él. La ilusión de un personaje nuevo es impagable; y lo vivo y
lo disfruto a tope.
Además de su trabajo como actriz
¿se ha planteado alguna vez dar
el salto a la dirección? Sí, lo estoy
contemplando y de hecho está entre mis proyectos actuales por varios flancos distintos. Anteriormente me lo habían planteado algunos amigos productores y siempre había respondido que a mí lo
que me gusta es ser actriz. Con el
tiempo, me he dado cuenta de que
hay una parte de mí que tiene ganas de tomar iniciativas -yo, como actriz, siempre dependo de que
alguien quiera contar conmigo y
me ofrezca un personaje- y en estos momentos de mi vida se ha
abierto una puerta nueva y quiero
contar una serie de cosas desde mi
punto de vista. Pero no quiero dejar de ser actriz; si llevo adelante
estos proyectos como directora,
será algo que compaginaré con la
interpretación.
¿Cómo ve el actual panorama audiovisual valenciano? Lo veo desequilibrado. Creo que esta tierra
tiene muchas cosas que contar;
hay gente con mucho talento y
muy creativa, pero aquí no se ha
sabido generar infraestructuras de

continuidad, algo que se asemeje a
una industria. Me preocupa mucho la desigualdad que existe en la
adjudicación de proyectos a mujeres. No hay paridad en los órganos representativos y decisivos del
sector; las mujeres estamos infrarepresentadas y esta es una de las
primeras batallas que las mujeres
del audiovisual valenciano tenemos que dar.
La crisis del cine español es un tema recurrente en los últimos
años, ¿cuál es su opinión sobre
este tema? Creo que la crisis es algo que siempre está ahí; ahora
imagino que la del cine estará unida a la crisis económica. No es algo nuevo, es como la crisis del teatro que lleva “muriéndose” toda
la vida y no se muere nunca, más
bien al contrario. Yo creo que al cine lo que le está pasando es que las
nuevas tecnologías obligan a un
replanteamiento a la hora de abordar el hecho cinematográfico incluyendo lo audiovisual en líneas
generales. Además, las crisis siempre son productivas y es ahora
cuando la creatividad debe encontrar vías de escape; el talento está
ahí porque seguimos teniendo
grandes directores y actores que
siguen llenando las salas de cine.
De cuál de sus papeles se muestra
más orgullosa. Eso sería como pedirle a una madre con varios hijos
que escogiera sólo a uno. Creo que
cada película contiene para mí cosas distintas; cada película encierra
momentos únicos. Evidentemente, hay algunas que han marcado
más mi carrera porque han supuesto puntos de inflexión como: Las
edades de Lulú, Juana la Loca, Tierra y Libertad y también ahora en
estos momentos La Conjura del Es-

corial. De todas formas hay una que
significó un gran paso adelante en
mi trayectoria: Tierra y Libertad.
Trabajar con Ken Loach fue todo un
privilegio, aprendí mucho y descubrí aspectos de mí misma que yo
desconocía. Es alguien a quien yo
siempre llevaré en mi corazón porque me dio la oportunidad de vivir
un personaje que me llenó de vida y
me hizo descubrir una parte de la realidad de mi país. El personaje de
Blanca, visto desde hoy, representa mi pequeño granito de arena, es

mi reconocimiento a toda la gente
que luchó por la legalidad democrática y esto para mí es importante.
¿En qué está trabajando actualmente? Tengo varios proyectos entre manos que tienen que ver con la
preparación de este salto a la dirección. Algunos son a medio y largo
plazo. Ahora, por ejemplo, empiezo los ensayos de una audición musical que dirigiré para estudiantes
de segundo y tercer ciclo de Primaria; este proyecto se llama Ópera
para todos y tiene previsto su estreno en mayo en el Auditorio de
Castellón. Tiene como intención
acercar el mundo de la ópera y la
zarzuela a los estudiantes. También
estoy coordinando unas jornadas
en Valencia para el mes de junio sobre pedagogía y audiovisual, donde vamos a contar con expertos a la
hora de utilizar los medios audiovisuales como herramienta para
fomentar la educación en valores.
Hay también otros proyectos como
actriz, que tienen que ver con cine
y teatro, y una película para televisión hacia el verano. Espero que
se organicen en el tiempo y confío
en poder atenderlos a medida que
se vayan materializando.
¿Qué lugares aconsejaría visitar
a un amigo que no conoce la Comunitat Valenciana? La Albufera y
la Malvarrosa a la luz del atardecer,
cerca de la ciudad de Valencia. La
Vall de Laguar en primavera, el parque natural del Montgó o la Vall de
Gallinera en el tiempo de los cerezos en flor, hacia Alicante. La zona
de Els Ports en Castellón donde se
encuentra la ciudad de Morella o el
Palmeral de Elche también son, para mí, lugares que hay que visitar.
Rosana Pastor
“The thrill of a new character is beyond
measure. I feel and enjoy it to the full”
Rosana Pastor is a well known actress both on a
regional and national level. After having lived for 17
years in Madrid she has decided to return to Valencia,
her homeland, where she initially studied drama and
where her career as an actress began.
After notably successful films such as Tierra y libertad
(Land and freedom), for which she was awarded a
Goya, or Juana la Loca (Joanna The Mad) Rosana Pastor
now returns to make herself room in the difficult
Spanish artistic scene with La conjura del Escorial (The
conspiracy of Escorial), a film for which she was
nominated for Best actress in a supporting role at the
Goya Awards this year.
How did your professional career
begin? My professional career began just after finishing my studies
at drama school in Valencia. The
summer I graduated I was lucky
enough to be chosen by our acting
class professor as part of a group of
students to participate in a play he
was directing. I started working in
films some years later. I continued
working in the theatre, I worked
then under Pere Planella, one of the
founders of Teatre Lliure, and while I was working in Barcelona I got
a role in the film “Quien te quiere
Babel”. But the film that caused a
turning point in my career was the
second one I did “Un negro con un
saxo” (A black with a saxophone)
by Francesc Bellmunt.
You have an extensive artistic career and you have worked in pro-
jects of the Comunitat Valenciana
as well as in national and international ventures. Where do you feel most comfortable? I feel at home
in my work, this is what I can do,
what I love and have a passion for,

even more so than when I was 20,
and that is something I feel very
strongly about. After all these years
and the difficulties this job entails I
still feel part of the thrill that made
me become an actress and the ability to feel enraptured with each
character that I personify. The thrill
of a new character is beyond measure. I feel and enjoy it to the full.
In addition to your job as an actress, have you ever thought of directing? Yes, I am thinking about it.
In fact, it is one of my present projects coming from a number of sides. Friends have suggested the
possibility to me and I have always
said that what I really enjoy doing
is being an actress but I have come
to realize that there is a part of me
that wants to take the initiative. I
have always had to depend on someone wishing to count me in and
offer me a character. Now I have reached a moment in my life in which
I want to open new horizons and
tell a series of things from my own
point of view. But I don’t wish to
stop working as an actress, if these
projects turn out I will combine
them with acting.
What is your opinion on Valencia’s
current audiovisual scene? I think
it is out of balance. Valencia is full
of creativity with many talented
people but it is lacking the infrastructure that generates continuity,
something close to an industry.
What really worries me is the inequality that exists in awarding
projects to women. There aren’t
enough representatives in the projects that are currently underway
with women among the high number of creative women here with
great talent to tell stories. Women

battles we have to embark upon in
the audiovisual sphere in Valencia.
In the last few years the crisis affecting Spanish cinema has been a
recurring theme, what is your opinion on the subject? I think the crisis is always present, I imagine that
now it is linked to the financial one.
It’s nothing new, it’s like the crisis
affecting the theatre which is supposedly “dying” at all times but never manages to, quite the contrary.
I think that what is happening to
the film industry is that the new
technologies force it to redefine itself in cinematographic terms including the audiovisual aspects in
general. Besides, crises are always
productive and it’s now that creativity must find its way. We still have talented directors and actors that
fill up the movie theatres.
What role are you most proud of?
That would be like making a mother
choose among her many children.
Every film has meant different
things to me; each one has its wonderful side, although obviously some have meant more to my career
because they’ve instigated a turning point, like: Las edades de Lulú (The ages of Lulu), Juana la Loca,
Tierra y Libertad as well as “La Conjura del Escorial”. In any case, if I
was to choose one which has meant
the most to my career I would have
to stick to Tierra y Libertad. Working with Ken Loach was a great
privilege. He taught me many
things and I discovered aspects of
myself I was unaware of until then.
He is someone I will always treasure because he gave me the chance to
live a character that fulfilled me and
who allowed me to re-examine a
part of the reality of my country.
This is the role in which I show my
appreciation for those who fought
- and where I feel I did my bit - in
the battle for democracy; and this
is very important to me.
What are you working on at the
moment? I have a great number of
projects at hand, some have to do
with the preparation of this leap to-
wards directing and I am also preparing a musical opera for students.
This project is called “Opera para
todos” (Opera for all) and is expected to premier in May in the Auditorium of Castellón. The idea behind it is to bring the world of opera and zarzuela closer to secondary
students. I am also coordinating a
number of conferences in Valencia
for the month of June on pedagogy
and audiovisuals in which experts
on the subject will be talking about
how to use audiovisual media in
education. In addition, I have several film and theatre projects that I
hope will mature and I trust will come to a good end.
What places would you recommend
a friend who does not know the Comunitat Valenciana? The Albufera
at sunset, the Fallas of Valencia or the
Malvarrosa in spring. These I think
are places a visitor to this city should
not miss. The area of Els Ports in Castellon where the city of Morella is located or the Palmeral (palm grove)
of Elche are also, in my opinion, places worth visiting.

Golf Club situated in Benissa, between the towns of Calpe and Moraira. Ifach course is not too complicated and has the shortest circuit

number of important international
tournaments have been hosted in
the Comunitat. One of the most
outstanding events for golf enthusiasts was held recently in Castellon
with the hosting of the Castello
Masters Costa Azahar.
This tournament took place last autumn and brought together the elite of international golf as it was held
at the Club de Campo del Mediterraneo in Borriol. This sport event projected the image of the Comunitat
Valenciana to more than 690 million
spectators around the world who
followed the event on television.
The organization of a European Tour
golf tournament is a decisive indication of the commitment the region has towards a sport that greatly favours the touristic development of those areas where it is held.
The Comunitat Valenciana becomes

Las fiestas de Moros y Cristianos de
Alcoi son uno de los atractivos turísticos de la Comunitat Valenciana por su
impresionante colorido y ambientación. Durante tres días, del 21 al 23
de abril, la ciudad alicantina se viste
de fiesta para acoger los desfiles de
las 28 filaes, 14 del bando moro y
otras tantas del cristiano, que recorren
las principales calles del casco urbano
con sus capitanes a la cabeza. Existe
constancia documental de que desde
el año 1883 se celebra en la ciudad
esta fiesta que ha ido, poco a poco,
ganándose el reconocimiento nacional
e internacional ya que la espectacularidad de sus desfiles y el excelente
ambiente que respira Alcoi han llevado
a que sus Moros y Cristianos sean considerados Fiesta de Interés Turístico
tanto en España como en el extranjero.
El origen de estas celebraciones se remonta al siglo XIII cuando tuvo lugar
la batalla de Alcoi (23 de abril de
1276) a las puertas de la ciudad y que
tradicionalmente se supone que enfrentó a los habitantes de Alcoi con las
tropas del caudillo musulmán Alazraq.
Cuenta la leyenda que en el momento
clave de la batalla apareció la figura
de San Jorge a lomos de un caballo sobre las murallas de la ciudad y que su
figura decidió el resultado de la batalla. Por este motivo el día de San Jorge
(23 de abril) se convierte en la jornada
clave de las fiestas.
Una de las principales características
de esta fiesta es la enorme participación de los habitantes de Alcoi ya que
más de 5.000 personas son las encargadas de representan la gesta medieval y en todo momento hacen gala del
colorido, la música, la pólvora y la religiosidad que impregnan la fiesta. Durante estos tres días la ciudad recibe
con la máxima cordialidad a los miles
de visitantes que invaden las calles
para disfrutar en vivo de la fiesta.

These fiestas are one of the tourist attractions of the Comunitat Valenciana
owing to its dazzling colours and setting. From the 21st to the 23rd of
April, Alcoi is decked out to receive
the spectacle of the 28 “filaes”, 14
from the Moorish camp and 14 from
the Christian camp. They parade
along the main streets of the town
with their captains at the lead. There
is documented evidence that the
town celebrates this festivity since
1883 but it has gradually gained national and international reputation as
a result of the spectacular parades
and the remarkable atmosphere that
can be felt all along and consequently, Moros y Cristianos is now
considered a Tourist Interest Festivity
in Spain and abroad
The origin of such celebrations goes
back to the XIII century with the battle (on April 23rd 1276) that took
place at the town gates and which
traditionally is meant to have confronted the inhabitants of Alcoi with the
Muslim leader, Alazraq. According to
the legend, at the crucial moment of
the battle the figure of Saint George
riding a horse appeared over the city
walls that determined the outcome of
the encounter. As a result, the day of
Saint George (23rd April) is the most
important day of the fiestas.
One of the major features of this fiesta is the massive participation of the
inhabitants of Alcoi. More than 5000
people are in charge of embodying
the medieval setting with a constant
display of colours, music, fireworks
and religious aspects of the festivity.
During these three days the town receives with the greatest cordiality
thousands of visitors who invade the
streets to enjoy the fiesta live.

responsables de la película Mr. Nice para grabar algunas de sus escenas.
Entre los actores que protagonizan esta película y que rodaren entre las
paredes del hotel se encuentra Elsa Pataky quien estuvo alojada en el SH Villa
Gadea mientras duró la grabación Esta película, basada en la exitosa novela
autobiográfica del traficante de marihuana y hachís británico Howard Marks, es
una coproducción bitánico-española y está dirigida por Bernard Rose.
Además de en el hotel, Mr Nice tambien se ha rodado en el complejo
audiovisual de Ciudad de la Luz situado en Alicante.

Gadea recently became an unexpected film
set chosen for some of the scenes in Mr.
Nice. Among the main actors of the film we
find Elsa Pataky who stayed at the SH Villa
Gadea while filming. The movie, based on
the successful autobiographical book of the
British marijuana and hashish dealer Howard Marks, is an Anglo-Spanish
coproduction directed by Bernard Rose. Mr. Nice has also been filmed in
Ciudad de la Luz film studio in Alicante.
