El impresionante, Volcàn Arenal es una maravilla natural magnìfico que se
encuentra en La Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica, ofreciendo a los muchos
turistas la oportunidad de ser testigo de la actividad volcánica, como las
columnas de humo blanco y ceniza que emana del crater de forma cònica.
Para poder llegar a esta maravilla de la naturaleza nos trasladamos hacia la
zona norte de país, siendo inevitable realizar una breve parada en el famoso
pueblo de Sarchí, tan conocido internacionalmente por sus laboriosos
artesanos que le dan renombre a Sarchí como La Cuna de la Artesanía
Costarricense.
Siguiendo nuestro viaje pasaremos a través de plantaciones de diversos
productos agrícolas,plantas ornamentales, fincas de ganado, hasta llegar al
pueblo de La Fortuna para tomar el almuerzo en un acogedor restaurante justo
al frente del volcán. Esta excelente ubicación nos permite desde muy
temprano, tener la mejor vista en espera de que el volcán complazca a los
visitantes.
Descansaremos en uno de los mejores sitios de aguas termales de la zona,
donde de manera opcional se podrá realizar un masaje o tratamiento
reservado anticipadamente.

Para cerrar con broche de oro, una excelente cena será servida, siempre con la
mejor vista del Volcán Arenal.
Después de la cena iniciamos el regreso directo a la ciudad de San José.

Option B: Baldi Hot Springs
The impressive Arenal Volcano is a magnificent natural wonder that is situated in
La Fortuna (The Fortune) of San Carlos, Costa Rica, providing many tourists with
the opportunity to witness volcanic activity, such as the white plumes of smoke
that emanate from the conical shaped behemoth. It is important to note that the
volcano had previously been assumed to be dormant, until in 1968, when it
experienced a major eruption.
To get to this natural wonder we must go to the north of the country, and inevitably
we must make a stop in the famous town of Sarchi, which has earned the name of
the Birthplace of Costa Rica’s Artisans.
As we continue our trip we will go through diverse plantations with agricultural
products, ornamental plants and cattle ranches until we arrive to La Fortuna, for
lunch in a cozy restaurant right in front of the volcano. This excellent location will
allow us the best view of the volcano.
Later we will relax in one of the best thermal water places in the area where you will
be able to enjoy an optional massage or other special treatments that must be
reserved ahead of time.
Lastly, a wonderful dinner will be served with a great view of the Arenal Volcano.
After dinner we will begin our return trip to the city of San Jose.

Aventura en el Bosque Lluvioso

Vamos a cruzar a través del inolvidable bosque lluvioso del Parque
Nacional Braulio Carrillo, una de las más importantes reservas de la
selva tropical de Costa Rica. Después realizaremos un relajante paseo
en bote en el río Sarapiquí, donde sólo tendrá que disfrutar y
observar la vida silvestre que está a su alrededor.
Seguido de esta experiencia tendremos una caminata en Selva Verde
Eco Lodge, senderos privados que son el cielo para los amantes de la
naturaleza, aves y vida silvestre.
Después de un delicioso almuerzo viajaremos por los aires, una
experiencia donde podremos ver la selva tropical como lo hace un
pájaro, y veremos un santuario que alberga grandes tesoros de la
naturaleza.... Observaremos el más completo ecosistema de la Tierra
y la lluvia del bosque. El Teleférico del Bosque Lluvioso es un área
475-hectáreas (1.200 acres) de reserva privada, que comparte 10
kilómetros de frontera con el Parque Nacional Braulio Carrillo y
constituye una zona de tope entre el parque y tierras de cultivo.

We will drive you through the unforgettable rain forest of Braulio
Carrillo National Park, one of the most important rainforest reserves in
Costa Rica. Then we will take you on a relaxing boat ride on the
Sarapiqui River, just sit back and observe the wildlife that is around you.
After this experience you will walk into Selva Verde’s eco lodge private
trails, which is heaven for nature enthusiasts, hikers, bird and wildlife
watchers.
After a delicious lunch we will continue our trip to the famous Rainforest
Aerial Tram, a sanctuary which shelters an eco-touristic and research

Aerial Tram – Atlantic is a 475-hectares (1,200-acre) private reserve, it

Parque Nacional Volcán Poás - Beneficio y plantación de café
Doka - Jardines de Cataratas La Paz
Se toma la carretera Panamericana con destino a la Ciudad de Alajuela,
observando el Monumento al Agricultor, el Monumento a Juan Santamaría y el
famoso Parque de los Mangos. En el ascenso al volcán haremos una parada para
una breve explicación sobre nuestro grano de oro, el café, y continuaremos el
recorrido a través de cultivos de helechos, flores y fresas.
En este momento se hace notorio el cambio en la temperatura y la variada
vegetación, preparándonos para disfrutar los placeres del exuberante bosque
nuboso del Volcán Poás.
En el Volcán se tomará el tiempo necesario para observar el impresionante cráter
principal, con fumarolas de azufre. Posteriormente realizaremos una caminata por
el sendero hasta la hermosa Laguna Botos que nos permitirá conocer acerca de los
diferentes ecosistemas del parque.
Continuando hacia la zona caribeña, nos detendremos para descubrir los Jardines
de la Catarata La Paz, un parque natural, donde caminaremos por verdaderos
senderos espectaculares que nos conducirán a la Catarata Magia Blanca (la más
grande y espectacular del área). En el parque también visitaremos los observatorios
de mariposas y aves, además de la impresionante galería de colibries, el aviario, la
casa antigua, un ranario y serpentario.
Finalizada la caminata tomaremos un delicioso almuerzo tipo buffet, para luego
inicar el regreso a San José

We will take the Pan-American Highway towards the city of Alajuela. In route we
will go by the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the
famous Mango Park. As we ascend towards the volcano we will stop for a brief
explanation of our golden bean,the coffee and then continue our trip through fern,
flower and strawberry farms.
There is a noticeable change in temperature and vegetation, preparing us for the
pleasure of the exuberant cloud forest of Poas Volcano.
At the volcano we will have time to observe the impressive main crater with its
sulfur fumaroles. Then we will hike on a trail to the beautiful Botos Lagoon that will
allow us to learn about the different ecosystems in the park.
We will continue our trip towards the Caribbean, stopping to discover La Paz
Waterfall Gardens, a natural park where we will walk through many spectacular
trails which will take us to the White Magic Waterfall, the most spectacular one in
the area. Inside the park we will also visit the largest butterfly observatory in the
country that is known as the house of collections of tropical jewels and the
impressive hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the old house, the bird house &
the frogs exhibit.
Once we have finished our walk we will take a delicious lunch buffet and then
begin our return trip to San Jose.

Se toma la carretera Panamericana con destino a la Ciudad de Alajuela,

Seguidamente visitaremos Grecia, hermosa ciudad considerada como una de las
mas limpias en América Latina, donde se localiza el único templo metálico de
Centro América, monumento nacional que enorgullece a sus habitantes ademas
de una visita al Mercado Central ejemplo de vida de los costarricenses.
Posteriormente en Sarchí, ciudad llamada la cuna de la artesanía costarricense por
la abundante concurrencia de talleres que trabajan en finas maderas, se contará
con el tiempo necesario para observar los artísticos trabajos de los artesanos en la
fabricación de las famosas carretas típicas y además se podrá escoger el "souvenir"
para llevar a casa.

monument that fills its inhabitants with pride. In order to catch a glimpse of the
local lifestyle we will also visit the central market area.
Our last stop is Sarchi, known as the Cradle of Costa Rican Artisans due to its fine
workshops. Here we will have time to enjoy the artistic work of the local artisans as
they create the famous typical oxcarts and you will be able to shop for that special
souvenir to take home.

Costa Rica provee diferentes clases de rápidos donde la adrenalina llega
hasta el limite y el fascinante Canopy esta en la cúspide de los árboles.
Ahora usted puede disfrutar de estas dos actividades combinadas en un
mismo tour. Descubra las maravillas naturales que le ofece Sarapiquí; un
extenso territorio localizado en la Zona Norte del país, con una variedad de
ríos con agua cristalina, una abundante belleza escénica en sus bosques y

Al salir de San José se atraviesa el majestuoso escenario del Parque Nacional
Braulio Carrillo y al llegar a Sarapiquí se podrá disfrutar de dos atractivos de
gran aventura: el Canopy en medio de un bosque secundario con árboles
de gran altura y luego del almuerzo, el Rafting en las agitadas aguas del Río
Sarapiquí.
El Canopy cuenta con un duración de una hora y treinta minutos
deslizándose sobre el bosque en diez cables de diferente longitud .
El rafting en el Río Sarapiquí tiene varios niveles de intensidad que van
desde el nivel II hasta el III, presentando un vibrante escenario para quienes
quieren incursionar en esta emocionante actividad. Un conjunto de rápidos
inesperados en combinación con trechos calmos y relajantes en un
recorrido de 8 millas, harán de esta actividad una experiencia inolvidable
para los pajareros y los amantes de la naturaleza.
Canopy and Rafting in one day
Costa Rica offers different kinds of white water rafting where the adrenaline
shoots to the limit and fascinating Canopy tours can be experienced from the
top of the trees. Now you can enjoy both activities that combined in a single
tour. Discover the natural wonders of Sarapiqui, a large territory located in the
northern part of the country, with crystalline rivers, abundant scenic beauty

As we depart from San Jose we will drive close to Braulio Carrillo National Park,
arriving to Sarapiqui where both adventure attractions can be enjoyed: the
Canopy Tour in the middle of a secondary forest with high altitude trees,
followed by lunch, and then Rafting in the white waters of the Sarapiqui River.
The Canopy tour lasts one and a half hours as you slide through the forest from
ten cables of different lengths.
Rafting on the Sarapiqui River (class II or III), allows a vibrant scenary for those
who wish to enjoy this exciting activity. A group of unexpected rapids is
combined with slow relaxing stretches along a distance of 8-miles which will
make this an unforgettable experience for birdwatchers and nature lovers.

El tour comienza presentando primero el sector este de la Ciudad de San
José, pasando junto a La Plaza de la Democracia y el Museo Nacional, Los
Tribunales del Poder Judicial, Los Yoses, el Mall San Pedro, La Fuente de la
Hispanidad y La Sede Rodrigo Facio de la Universidad de Costa Rica.
Después de pasar por los principales atractivos de la capital, llegaremos al
impresionante Museo de Oro Precolombino y al bellísimo Teatro Nacional
donde tendremos un tour a través de estas joyas culturales.
Posteriormente, el recorrido continúa hacia el oeste de la ciudad pasando
por el Parque Metropolitano La Sabana, el Museo de Arte Costarricense o
antigua torre de control del primer Aeropuerto Internacional de San José, el
Gimnasio Nacional, la Contraloría General de la República, la zona residencial
de Rohmoser, la Nunciatura Apostólica, la casa del Premio Nobel de la Paz, Sr.
Oscar Arias Sánchez, el Boulevar de Rohrmoser y el sector de Pavas.
Al finalizar también se tendrá la oportunidad de visitar un interesante sitio
donde adquirir algún recuerdo de su visita a la cuidad San José.
Los domingos que está cerrado el Teatro Nacional se visita solo sus afueras y
todas las salas del Museo de Oro Precolombino.
City tour and shopping (Morning and Afternon)
Starting on the East side of San Jose, the first thing we will see is the Democracy
Place and the National Museum, the Courts, Los Yoses, the San Pedro Mall, the
Hispanidad Fountain and the Rodrigo Facio Campus at the University of Costa Rica.
After we have seen the capital’s main attractions, our first stop will be at the
impressive Pre-Columbian Gold Museum and the beautiful National Theater, where
we will have a guided visit through these cultural gems.
After our visit, the tour continues to the western section of San Jose: La Sabana
Metropolitan Park, the Costa Rican Contemporary Art Museum or the first
International Airport in Costa Rica, the National Gymnasium, the Comptroller’s
office, the residential area of Rohrmoser, the Nunciatura, the Nobel Peace prize
winner Oscar Arias Sanchez’s home, the Rohrmoser Boulevard and the Pavas section.
At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit an interesting shopping
place where you will be able to buy a souvenir of your visit to San Jose.
On Sunday, the National Theater is closed and we will only see the theather’s on the
outside and then visit the Pre-colombian Gold Museum.

Exótico paraiso trópical
Salimos de San José rumbo a la Costa Pacífica a través de la vieja ruta
española de 1606, haciendo una breve parada en el camino para desayunar.
Una vez que lleguemos a nuestro destino, empezaremos el tour en bote a
través del Río Tárcoles, donde admiraremos gran variedad de aves acuáticas
y migratorias.
Posteriormente continuaremos visitando una de las áreas protegidas de
mayor belleza en la zona, el resort de Punta Leona, un exótico paraíso
rodeado de 750 ha. de vasta vegetación, característica del bosque de
transición tropical lluvioso a seco. La belleza de la arena blanca de sus
playas y lo profundo del mar azul son rasgos particulares del Pacífico.
Tendrán el día libre para que puedan deleitarse en este bello paraje y
disfrutar de las actividades opcionales que puedan tomar en el lugar, como
practicar algún deporte acuático, nadar en las aguas cristalinas del océano
o sencillamente relajarse en el área de la piscina del hotel. El tour incluye un
delicioso almuerzo que se servirá en alguno de los restaurantes que
bordean el área.
El atardecer en Punta Leona es una extraordinaria experiencia que
disfrutaremos y después de esta espectacular vista, nos dispondremos para
regresar a San José.
Exotic tropical paradise
We depart from San Jose towards the Pacific Coast via the Old Spanish
route of 1606,a brief stop along the way for breakfast.
Once we arrive at our first destination we will ride a boat along the Tarcoles
River and watch the migratory birds.
After our boat ride we will visit one of the most beautiful protected areas,
Punta Leona Resort, an exotic paradise surrounded by 750 hectares of
transitional tropical wet forest to tropical dry forest, which is characteristic
of this region. The beauty of its white sands and deep blue ocean are
particular of the Pacific Coast.
You will have all day at leisure to enjoy this beautiful place and to enjoy the
optional activities such as water sports, bathing in the crystal waters of the
ocean or using the hotel pools. The tour includes a delicious lunch served in
one of the local restaurants.
Sunset in Punta Leona is an extraordinary experience, which we will enjoy,
and after this spectacular view we will return to San Jose.

Volcán Irazú, Valle de Orosí y Jardines Lankester
Se toma la autopista Panamericana con destino a la Zona Sur, para
iniciar el ascenso al coloso de Iztarú . El sinuoso camino atraviesa las
fértiles tierras cultivadas de hortalizas de todo tipo, mientras se
observa una panorámica de vasta extensión. En la cima del volcán se
contemplan sus principales cráteres y en un día claro se puden
divisar los océanos Atlántico y Pacífico.
Al descender a la Ciudad de Cartago, se visita la Basílica de la Virgen
de los Ángeles, que según la costumbre religiosa es lugar de
peregrinación de muchos creyentes. Después de visitar la Basílica de
los Ángeles en la ciudad de Cartago, nos trasladamos a los Jardines
Lankester, centro de investigación de la Universidad de Costa Rica
que protege a más de 800 especies de orquídeas y bromelias
además de otro sinnúmero de plantas.
Posteriormente nos desplazaremos al Valle de Orosi, lugar donde la
creación se desborda en escenarios de sin igual belleza. Se podrá
visitar uno de los pocos templos coloniales y se realizará la parada
para el almuerzo en un restaurante de la zona.

We take the Panamerican Highway South, to start ascending the large
“Iztaru”. The winding road travels through fertile lands cultivated with
all kinds of vegetables as we observe a lovely panoramic view. at the top
of the volcano you can observe the main craters and on a clear day both
Atlantic and Pacific Oceans can be seen.
As we descend to the city of Cartago we will stop at the Virgin of the
Angels Basilica which according to religious custom, is a peregrination
site for many believers. After visiting the Basilica we will stop at
Lankester Gardens, a University of Costa Rica Center for investigation
that protects more than 800 species of orchids, bromeliads and
countless species of other plants.
We will continue to the Valley of Orosi where creation overflows in
unparallel beauty. We will be able to visit one of the few remaining
colonial churches and we will stop for lunch in one of the local
restaurants.

Es ciertamente uno de los más maravillosamente posibles viajes
líricos que se tomarán. Hay una tranquilidad que calma al más
salvaje, a como uno flota tranquilamente en medio de la fragancia de
las flores blancas del jengibre, los Jacintos de agua , y la flor de
Ilan-Ilan, a través de la selva, las lagunas y los canales de Tortuguero,
disfrutando ocasionalmente de vistas de perezosos, cocodrilos,
tortugas de agua dulce que toman el sol, lapas verdes, loros y de
monos aulladores que sacuden las ramas del bosque exuberante de
los canales de Tortuguero.
Es el área más importante de anidación para la tortuga verde
(Chelonia mydas) en el Caribe occidental; un área extensa, abierta y
de playas peinadas por el viento.
Éste es uno de los pocos parques nacionales de Costa Rica donde las
caminatas no son necesariamente la mejor manera de ver las cosas.
Durante su viaje a través de los canales del Parque Nacional
Tortuguero se podrán observar los monos arañas, congos y
capuchinos y docenas de especies de pájaros. Siendo afortunados
podremos ver una especie en peligro de extinción: el Manatí.
Tortuguero National Park
It is certainly one of the most wonderfully lyrical trips to be taken. There is a
tranquility that soothes the most savage, as one floats dreamily amidst the
fragrance of white ginger blossoms, lavender water hyacinths, and the
Ilan-Ilan flower, through the jungle, lagoons and canals of Tortguero,
catching occasional glimpses of sloths, crocodiles, basking fresh-water
turtles, green macaws, parrots and howler monkeys flitting and shaking
branches high in the exuberant vegetation above you.
Is the most important nesting area for the Green Sea Turtle in the western
Caribbean, an area of vast, open, windswept beaches.
This is one of the few Costa Rican national parks where walking isn't
necessarily the best way to see things.
During your boat trip through the freshwater canals you are also likely to
see Spider, Howler and Capuchin Monkeys and dozens of species of birds. If
you are lucky you might spot an endangered West Indian Manatee.

Este parque nacional está considerado uno de los más bellos del país.
La combinación de una paradisíaca playa de aguas cristalinas con
bancos de coral, bordeada por una exuberante vegetación y los
encantos naturales del bosque tropical húmedo. Sus playas se cuentan
entre las mejores del país, donde el buceo y el surf son muy populares.
Nuestro recorrido hacia el parque nos llevará por la Costanera Sur,
disfrutando de lindas vistas y atravesando plantaciones de palma
africana y pintorescos pueblos a lo largo de la costa Pacífica, hasta
llegar al Puerto de Quepos y de ahí continuar hasta al Parque Nacional.
A nuestra llegada haremos una caminata cruzando un riachuelo para
accesar al parque, pues esta cerrado al transito vehicular. Una vez
dentro, se puede simplemente disfrutar de las playas, tomar un baño
de sol, o bien hacer una caminata por los senderos del parque, que nos
permitirá observar la abundante flora y fauna del mismo, en particular
varias especies de monos, iguanas, aves, y talvez, el perezoso de tres
dedos. Uno de sus senderos bordea Punta Catedral desde donde la
vista del parque y el mar es espectacular.
Relax and enjoy the natural beach and rainforest
Manuel Antonio National Park is considered one of the most beautiful
parks in Costa Rica. On this tour, you will visit pristine beaches, with coral
reefs, bordered by exuberant vegetation and the natural wonders of the
tropical rainforest. The beaches in Manuel Antonio are highly coveted as
some of the best that Costa Rica has to offer. Many popular activities such
as world-class surfing and snorkeling are available.
On the way to Manuel Antonio National Park, you will travel along the
coastline enjoying scenic views, including African palm plantations. You
will also travel past small villages along the Pacific Coast, until you reach
the port of Quepos and the ultimately the National Park.
Since access to the park itself is closed to vehicles, you will hike to the
preserve, crossing a creek. Once in the park, you can simply relax and enjoy
the beach, sunbathe, or hike through the park's trails, which will allow you
to observe Manuel Antonio’s abundant flora and fauna. Several species of
monkeys, iguanas, birds and possibly even the three-toed sloth can be
seen. If you chose to hike the trail to Cathedral Point, do not forget your
camera; the views of the park and the sea are simply spectacular!
