CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF THE LATINO COMMISSION ON AIDS www.cielolatino.org CELEBRATING OUR 25 YEAR LEGACY For the last 25 years, the Latino response to the HIV & AIDS crisis has been guided by the passionate work of the Latino Commission on AIDS, a nonprofit organization that has unified and strengthened communities across the U.S., Puerto Rico and its territories to tend to persons living with HIV & AIDS, advocate for resources and research, and educate the public about prevention, testing and treatment. On behalf of the Commission, I am delighted to invite you to join us as we celebrate our 25th anniversary by becoming a sponsor of Cielo, the largest annual fundraiser in response to the impact of the HIV & AIDS epidemic in the Latino communities. It will take place on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Cielo 2015 will celebrate the legacy of the Latino Commission on AIDS, continuing the theme Designing a World without AIDS (Diseñando un Mundo sin SIDA), because we can imagine that someday, the AIDS crisis will be over. Join us on May 15th in our unified community response and say, “¡Presente!,” so when that day finally comes, you can say, “I was there. We fought so that people could live and be free of HIV & AIDS.” Guillermo Chacon PRESIDENT LATINO COMMISSION ON AIDS Richard Gonzalez CO-CHAIR CIELO LATINO CIELO’S IMPACT Has supported a decade of National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD), a social marketing campaign occurring annually on October 15th.
