THE FOLLOWING PREREQUISITES APPLY TO FOREIGNERS WISHING TO GET MARRIED IN
CUBA:
1- Presentation of passports and tourist cards upon arrival.
2- Couples who have been married before must present:
- If divorced, Certificate of Divorce.
- If widowed, Certificate of Marriage and Certificate of Spouse’s death.
- Couples who have never been married do not need to present any of these documents.
3- These documents must be translated into Spanish and legalized by the Cuban
Consul in the country of origin. Original documents should be brought by the couple.
4- Copies of all documentation referred above must be faxed or emailed to the hotel
at least three weeks prior to the couple’s arrival in the hotel.
5- Marriage will be formalized taking into account the name stated in the passport;
therefore this must be correct and must be the same as the name stated in all other
documents presented.
6- Presentation of Bride’s, Groom’s and Witnesses’ information and copy of first page
of passport.
7- Marriage Certificate will be prepared and sent to the couple by DHL at the hotel’s
cost to the home address indicated later on.
8- The couple must be in the hotel at least 72 hours before the ceremony.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Reservations must specify that guests are getting married, renewing their vows or
celebrating their symbolic wedding in the hotel.
- Groups over 17 full paying guests coming to the hotel for the wedding, renewal of
vows or symbolic wedding from May 1st to December 21st get the basic wedding
package for free. On the reservation it must be specified that they are all part of the
wedding group.
