About the Pastoral Youth Minister:
Veronica Quintino-Aranda MSW-holds a
masters in Social Work Degree with a
minor in youth ministry. Veronica
currently is a candidate for Theology of
the Body certification.
Veronica has 15 years of experience
working with families including pregnant
women through the Medical setting in
different capacities. Her experience
includes Developmental Ages and Stages
and social emotional health from
preconception through 2 years of age. As
well as, middle and high school age teens.
She is well connected in the community to
different programs and agencies that
provide resources and services to Latinos.
As a social worker, Veronica is able to
provide referrals and resources to only
youth group members as needed.
Veronica is a volunteer youth leader for St.
Joseph the Worker.
Vision: Create youth who evangelize other
Youth through their vocation.
Mission: Help youth strengthen the
relationship with God. Identify their selfworth and vocation by discovering their
gifts and talents.
Meetings Every Tuesday Night
6:00 pm-8:00 pm : Middle School and
High School
Once a month after 5pm mass: Young
Adults Ages 18 and older dinner at a
restaurant.

Workers Center- Focus is to
educate church parishioner and
the community about biblical
call to welcome the stranger
and our broken immigration
system.
RAVE Program: Family Futuresfacilitator: Vero Q-Teens may
not always recognize the risks
that come with relationships.
RAVE uses the Safe Dates
model. Safe Dates helps teens
recognize the difference
between caring, supportive
relationships and controlling,
manipulative, or abusive dating
relationships. Teens gain the
skills needed for healthier
relationships.
Healing Mass: St. Francis
Xavier Parish- First Monday of
the Month at 7 p.m.
Youth teachings focus on
Theology of the Body.
Theology of the Body is the name given to
Pope Saint John Paul II’s complete vision
for love and life. Theology of the Body for
Teens is a dynamic faith formation
program for teens and pre-teens in
catholic youth ministries, using language
youth can understand, it is a mix of
stories, real-life experiences, activities,
prayers, and relevant references to the
culture.

Formando Padres Confiados: Family
Outreach Center facilitated by Vero QSessions focus on two major ways that
people learn. The topics addressed are
Effective praise, Family Rules and Child
Behavior/Development, Mild Social
Disapproval, Effective Limit Setting, Time
Out, Parenting, The Media and
Technology.
RELAX: Michigan State University
facilitated by Vero QSessions that address how you handle
anger, how to calm down, four principles
of problem solving and forgiving and
letting go of the past.

Sobre la Líder de la Pastoral Juvenil:
Veronica Quintino-Aranda MSW-Tiene su
maestría en Trabajadora social y un
enfoque a ministerio juvenil. Veronica es

Teología del Cuerpo.

Veronica es una voluntaria en su
ministerio juvenil en la Iglesia de San Jose
Obrero.

otros jóvenes por medio de su vocación.
Misión: Ayudar a jóvenes a tener una
relacion más fuerte con Dios.

siempre pueden reconocer los
riesgos que vienen con una
relacion. RAVE usa el modelo de
Relaciones Sana’s. Relaciones
Sanas ayuda a jóvenes a reconocer
diferencias entre relaciones donde
hay cariño y apoyo y relaciones
donde hay control, manipulación,
o abuso. Jóvenes obtienen las
habilidades que se necesitan para
tener relaciones sanas.

Las enseñanzas de los Jóvenes se enfocan
en Teología del Cuerpo.
Teología del Cuerpo es el nombre que el
Santo Papa Juan Pablo II le dio a la visión
completa de amor y vida. Teología del
Cuerpo para jóvenes es un programa
dinámica de formación de fe para
ministerios juveniles católicos de jóvenes y
pre-jovenes, usando el lenguaje juvenil
que los jovenes entienden, diferentes
historias, experiencias de vida real,
actividades, oraciones, and referencias
revelantes a la cultura.
