(Monday & Thursday 8:00 am only) 4 7:00 3:15 PASTOR'S NOTES Thank You This past weekend we celebrated our patronal feast as we honored St. Francis of Assisi. On Sunday night after all was said and done, I thought to myself how great the weekend was for our community! Everyone seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed themselves beginning with Friday night as we kicked off the weekend with our “Friar Feast Taste”. The evening was filled with great food, music, plus a silent and live auction. This event was hosted by Women’s Guild of our parish and they did an excellent job, putting together a great evening for everyone to enjoy. Hence, a word of thanks to each of you who made our festival a success this year, whether you volunteered at the event, helped in preparing or serving the food, sold Mega Draw tickets, or came and spent some time with us during the day, thank you! It is you who made this year’s festival a great success, spirited filled and an enjoyable experience for all. May God bless each of you and your family for your generosity. ~Fr. Efrain Almighty God, we ask You to send Your Holy Spirit upon this parish community. Help us to face the challenges of our parish ministry. May You inspire each of us to give sacrificially to our campaign, believing that he who has begun a good work within us will accomplish far more than all we ask or imagine. Amen Cultivating Our Faith 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time, October 13, 2013 Sunday morning we kicked off our festival following the 7:30 am Mass and what a wonderful day it was for all who attended the celebration! The turnout on Sunday proved to be beyond our expectations due to the fact that all but one food booth had sold out by 3:30pm! Not only did we have a record turnout of parishioners coming to enjoy the festival, what is most inspiring is that we had more volunteers from throughout the parish than ever before. Clearly, this one small area of change is a reflection of how our parishioners, ministries, and entire parish community has grown and developed together in the work of our Lord. 2.
