LATE TO SCHOOL: If school has already started, parents may not just drop off students
outside. A parent must come into the building with proper identification to sign in the late
student(s) at the front office
Parent Pick-up: For the safety of all students parents
must enter the school to pick up their student and escort
them to their vehicle. Thank you in advance for your
cooperation.
Re-Enrollment Forms: Re-enrollment forms will be coming
soon for students planning to attend Frontier School of Innovation for the 2014-2015 school year.
Homework Detentions: Students with missing assignments may be assigned a homework detention
from their teacher(s). Detentions will be served on Thursdays from 4:30-5:30pm. A teacher will be
available to support any student(s) with their assignment(s).
UNDERGROUND PERFORMANCE: February 7th students in grades 3-9 will be
attending, “Underground” performed by the Storling Dance Theater. Permission
slips will be given to students soon.
Talent Show Auditions: Frontier students will have the opportunity to showcase their talents on Thursday, March 13, 2014. 4th – 9th grade students are
welcome to participate. Students who would like to participate will have to audition for the talent show. Auditions will be held February 10th-12th & 17th –
18th. **Additional information is attached for specific time and dates.
Pennies for Patients: FSI students will be participating in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients program February 10-28. Students are asked
to collect spare change to be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for
funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.

TARDE A LA ESCUELA: Si la escuela ya ha comenzado, los padres no sólo puede dejar a
los estudiantes afuera. Un padre debe entrar al edificio con la identificación apropiada para
firmar al estudiante que llegue tarde
Si recogen a sus hijos/a: Para la seguridad de todos los
estudiantes los padres deben entrar a la escuela a recoger a sus hijos y llevarlos a su vehículo. Gracias de antemano por su colaboración.
Formas de reinscripción: Formas de reinscripción se pasaran
pronto para los estudiantes que planean asistir a la escuela de
frontier para el año 2014-2015.
Tarea detenciones: Los estudiantes que tengan varios trabajos que no hayan entregado pueden ser
asignados a una detención de tareas por su maestro. Las detenciones se servirán los jueves de 4:305:30pm. Un profesor estará disponible para ayudar a los estudiantes con su tarea.
Presentación “Underground”: 7 de febrero, estudiantes del 3-9 grado asistirán a una presentacion "Underground" realizada por el teatro de danza de Storling. Permisos se dará a los estudiantes pronto.
Las audiciones de talentos: Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de mostrar sus talentos el jueves, 13 de marzo de 2014. Estudiantes del 4 – 9 grado
están invitados a participar. Los estudiantes que quieran participar tendrán a una
audición para el concurso de talentos. Las audiciones se llevará a cabo el 10
-12 y 17-18 de febrero ** Información adicional para fechas y tiempo
concretos.
Pennies para pacientes: Estudiantes de FSI estarán participando en el programa de
leucemia y Linfoma centavos para los pacientes el 10-28 de febrero. Se les pide a los
estudiantes colectar monedas para que donen al programa de leucemia y Linfoma para
financiar la investigación de cáncer de sangre y servicios de educación al paciente.
Conferencias de padres y maestros se celebrará el 13 de fe-brero de
2014 de 1:30 – 6:30.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held February 13, 201 from 1:30pm—
6:30pm.
**As a courtesy to all, please keep conferences 5-10 minutes in length.
NEW ENROLLMENT OPEN HOUSE: FSI will be holding Open Houses for new
families interested in enrolling their students at FSI for the 2014-2015 school
year. Open houses will be held: March 6th—5:30pm, March 8th—11am,
& March 27—5:30pm
Testing Dates: Practice Communication Arts, Math, and Science MAP Exams will be held on
January 22-24 for students in grades 3-8. 9th Grade students will be taking the Biology and
English End of Course Assessment on January 22-24.
THIRD QUARTER PROGRESS REPORTS WILL BE GIVEN TO
STUDENTS FEBRUARY 7TH.
FSI DRESS CODE: NO EXTREME HAIRSTYLES OR EXTREME
COLORED HAIR ARE ALLOWED. ETCHING/SKETCHES SHAVED IN
THE HAIR ARE NOT ALLOWED.
FSI YEARBOOKS: FSI Yearbooks are still for sale. The cost is $10 and you
will need to pay at the front office. Please look around the school to see examples of what pages will look like. Yearbook sales will end February
21st . This will be the last pre-order for the yearbooks, don't miss out.
Students: For your safety, please wear tennis
shoes on days you have Physical Education classes.

Casa abierta: FSI celebrará casa abierta para las familias interesadas en inscribir a su estudiante en FSI para el año escolar 2013-2014. Casa abierta se
llevará a cabo: 6 de marzo: 5:30 pm, 8 de marzo: 11am, 27 de marzo:
5:30pm.
Las fechas para los exámenes: los exámenes (MAP) de practica para artes de comunicación, matemáticas y ciencia serán del 22 al 24 de enero para estudiantes en grados 3-8. Estudiantes de noveno grado tomarán la biología y el inglés evaluación final de curso del 22 al
24 de enero.
CALIFICASIONES DE TERCER CUARTO SE DARÁ A LOS ESTUDIANTES EL 7 DE FEBRERO
FSI CÓDIGO DE VESTIMENTA: NO PEINADOS EXTREMOS, NO PINTARSE EL CABELLO DE COLORES EXTREMOS. DISENOS EN EL CABELLO TAMPOCO SE PERMITEN.

Frontier Talent Show Auditions!
Frontier students will have the opportunity to showcase their talents on Thursday, March
13, 2014 during the school day. 4th – 9th grade students are welcome to participate. Time
and location TBA.
Students who would like to participate will have to audition for the talent show. Parents
will need to help their child decide on a talent and a routine. Please make sure the routine
is appropriate for school. Auditions will be held February 10th-13th and 17th in the music
room during extended hour3:20-4:00. Each grade level will audition on certain dates.

Parents will need to make sure their child comes prepared to perform at the audition! This means students MUST know their routine and have the necessary materials for
the performance. This includes an accompaniment CD, props, and everyone in the act
ready to perform. Students may perform in a group of 5 or less or individually. All students that audition will receive a letter by Feb. 18th informing parents of whether their
child was selected to perform in the show.
