Patriot Day of Prayer
The Knights of Columbus will observe Patriot Day with a
Prayer Service on September 11, 2016 at TDB.
The service will be held at Sacred Heart
Church. Please come and pray for our country
and the 2,977 innocent people who died on
that day in 2001.

Knights of Columbus are co-sponsoring a
Patriotic Rosary

2016 Deanery Catechetical Workshops.
September 17, 2016
The Annual Deanery Catechetical Workshop for all
catechetical staff and volunteers is September 17, 2016. This
year the workshop will be held at St. Pius X Church from 125PM.
All catechist in children’s religious education,
youth ministry and adult faith formation are
encouraged to attend.

Always Smiling
When you look at Mother Teresa, do you ever notice she
always smiling? It’s hard to imagine that she saw many
adversities in her years of work. In her private journals she
wrote that after her “call within a call”, Jesus stopped speaking
to her. The pain and darkness of his absence were almost
unbearable. Her spiritual advisors realized that she was given
loneliness so she could truly experience the complete poverty
and feeling unwanted that the people she
served everyday knew all too well. This gift
of loneliness was a gift of love to share in
Jesus’ suffering on the cross, being rejected
by many and his infinite love for us all.
“For the first time…I have come to love the
darkness, for I believe now that it is a very, very small part of
Jesus’ darkness and pain on earth.”
Siempre sonriendo
Cuando nos fijamos en la Madre Teresa, ¿se ha dado cuenta
de que ella siempre está sonriendo? Es difícil imaginar que vio
muchas adversidades en sus años de trabajo. En sus diarios
privados, escribió que después de su "llamada dentro de la

Prayer and Fasting
Want to end abortion? If you do, the first thing you must

Pray outside an abortion facility. Pray at church. Pray at
work. Pray in the car. Pray at home with your family.
People of faith are also invited to fast throughout 40 Days

driven out by prayer and fasting. A fast is not a Christian

ancient Catholic practice for conversing with God: Read
Sacred Scripture, Meditate, Respond and Contemplate.
“The Eucharist: A Bible Study for Catholics” will meet
Thursday August 25 at 6PM in the religious education
building. If you wish to learn more about the roots of the
Eucharist, please join us.

¿Quiere acabar con el aborto? Si lo hace, lo primero que
debe hacer es orar. La oración es en el centro de 40 Días
por la Vida. Durante cada campaña, las personas de fe en
todo el país ... y en todo el mundo ... se les pide que póngase
de rodillas ante el Señor, pidiéndole que escucha nuestra
súplica y sane nuestra tierra. Oren fuera de un centro de

were mailed out to all registered Parish
Families. If you did not receive yours in the
mail you can find them in the vestibule or in
the Parish Office.
PLEASE NOTE!! Payment Policy: Tuition fees for
classes are as follows: $35.00 for one child; $65.00 for
two children; $90.00 for three or more children. Fees are
to be paid at the time of registration. If there are
