The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of
sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free. ─Lk 4:18
─Lc 4, 18

Amid fears of terrorist ac$vity, uncertainty about the implica$ons of
Texas’s gun legisla$on, and the inevitable doldrums of the dead of
winter, Bishop Kevin Farrell’s Pastoral Leer for the Jubilee Year of
Mercy has some encouraging words for us: “As we reflect on our place
in the world, in personal and communal terms, we know only too well
that we are imperfect, that rela$ons among na$ons are imperfect and
that we need the kind of help that can only come from God. God’s help
ʹ this help we come to know as God’s mercy ʹ establishes and
confirms the sense of peace in the world.”

Have you considered naming St. Rita Parish as a beneficiary in your will? Established in December 2015, the purpose of the St. Rita Planned
Giving and Endowment Program is to promote opportuni$es for
individuals and families to consider the St. Rita Catholic Community in
their estate planning. The Legacy Society’s purpose is to recognize and
thank those who have no$fied the parish of their intended future giA
to our parish or the school through a bequest, trust, life insurance
policy, or re$rement plan. A charitable bequest in your will can benefit
our parish community while reducing the tax impact on your estate.
Legacy Society Members bestow the giA of con$nued financial
strength and excellence for St. Rita ministries.
