Baby World: This summer we continue
to see many parents and grandparents
who are looking for ways to help clothe
their children.
We are distributing
summer clothes, diapers and toiletries to
over 10 families a day. Please remember
Baby World when your child has outgrown their gently used
clothing.
We are continuing to host our homeless
program on Friday nights. If you are
interested in helping to provide a warm
meal, a friendly conversation and
hospitality please contact Colleen at
[email protected] or (817) 284-4811.
WATER NEEDED! As the summer heats up the homeless are
greatly affected in many ways. The DRC gives out thousands of
bottles of water each summer. Since the DRC is our partner with
the Room in the Inn program many of our guests are recipients of
this water. If you would like to help please drop off the bottles at
the Administration Building.
Mentors: Volunteers are needed to help the youth in our
community by becoming mentors to middle school aged students.
This mentoring program was started three years ago at the request
of a counselor at the local middle school. We are looking for
volunteers who have one hour a week to spend with a child during
the coming school year. Hours are flexible. The benefits of this
program are long term and very rewarding to both mentor and
mentee. If you would like more information, please contact
Colleen at [email protected] or (817) 284-4811.

Stewardship
Today’s readings speak of hospitality. Abraham, who cheerfully
did for his guests all that desert hospitality required, was rewarded
with his heart’s desire — a son. Martha also busied herself with all
the details of hospitality, but grudgingly and with complaint. Am I
a cheerful or a grudging giver?
Corresponsabilidad
