Empastes
A Dental Filling is placed once the cavity has been completely cleaned
out and all the bacteria completely removed. A composite-resin
material is then placed in the cleaned cavity to seal the tooth and
protect the integrity of the tooth. The composite material is then
molded and shaped by the dentist to match the natural shape of the
tooth. At times the cavity is too large for just a normal filling. In
these cases a dental crown will be presented as an option.
Los empastes se realizan una vez que las cavidades se han limpiado
completamente y las bacterias han sido removidas por completo. Se
rellenan con una resina compuesta en la cavidad para sellar el diente
y proteger la integridad del diente. La pasta se moldea por el dentista
para que quede de forma natural al diente. En algunas ocasiones el
empaste es demasiado grande y se recomienda entonces una corona
como opción del tratamiento.
