Family Play Group! We
will have a combined Saturday Family Play Group
with the Easton group on
May 3rd. On the 13th we
will be making bird feeders and enjoying active
play with the colorful
parachute! On May 28th
we will walk to the Play
Scape on campus and
enjoy the springtime sun!
We will be talking about
going to the local
farmer’s markets and the
types of fruits that are in
season this time of year.
In April, we talked
about growing. We
made pudding,
traced your child’s
growing body, and
planted seedlings.
We talked about
calcium intake for
healthy bones and
how to grow your
own vegetable garden. We also spent
some time outside
practicing our walking, running, galloping, and jumping
skills.

MEETING
At Parent Committee
Meeting in April, we
talked about discipline
for toddlers. In case
you missed the
Meeting, here are
some of the things we
discussed:


Discipline is about
teaching, it helps a
child learn what is
expected of them.
Teach and show your
toddler new skills with
patience and praise.



Keep it simple with
one lesson at a time.
Avoid battles, especially when it comes to
eating and toilet training. Unless they’re not
feeling well, children
will eat what they need
when they are hungry.
Toddlers don’t yet
understand consequences or know how
to change their behaviors. Offer other
choices and redirect
the child to encourage
a different behavior.

GRUPO DE JUEGO FAMILIAR B1
En Abril, hablamos
del crecimiento, hicimos pudín. trazamos
el crecimiento del
cuerpo de los niños y
plantamos semillas.
Hablamos acerca del
consumo de calcio
para tener unos huesos sanos y como
cultivar su propia
huerta. También
estuvimos afuera
disfrutando algún
tiempo practicando
nuestra manera de
caminar, correr, galopar y habilidades de
salto.

Considere la posibilidad
de venir a jugar con nosotros en Mayo en nuestro
Grupo de Juego Familiar !
Vamos a tener un Sábado
combinado para nuestro
Grupo de Juego Familiar
en Easton el 3 de mayo y
el día 13 estaremos
haciendo alimentadores
para pájaros y disfrutar el
juego activo con el paracaídas de colores! En
Mayo 28 vamos a caminar
a Play Scape en nuestra
área y disfrutar del sol de
primavera. Estaremos
hablando acerca de ir a
los mercados de los agricultores locales y los tipos
de frutas que están en
temporada en esta época
del año.
CONEXIÓNES DE FAMILIA/COMUNIDAD
REUNION COMITE DE
PADRES
En la reunión del Comité de
padres de Abril, hablamos de
disciplina para los niños
pequeños.
Si se perdió la reunión, aquí
están algunas de las cosas
que discutimos:
 La disciplina es sobre la
enseñanza, que ayuda a
los niños a aprender lo
que se espera de ellos.
 Enseñe y muestre a su
niño nuevas habilidades
con paciencia y elogios.
 Hágalo simple con una
lección a la vez.


Evitar las peleas, sobre
todo cuando llega la
hora de comer y entrenamiento para usar el
baño. A menos que
ellos no se sientan bien,
los niños comen lo que
necesitan cuando tienen hambre.
Los niños no entienden
aún consecuencias o no
saben cómo cambiar
sus comportamientos.
Ofrecer otras opciones y
redirigir al niño para
estimular un comportamiento diferente.
