Visit Jesus often!"

adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and
then reverence for most holy Mary."

ST. ANNE CATHOLIC CHURCH
TOMBALL, TEXAS
Altar Rosary Society
Twenty Seventh Sunday Ordinary Time
October 5, 2014
Be Part of an Amazing Transformation!!!
Meets the 1st Tuesday of every month, Sept.– May.
Meetings start at 9:30 am with the rosary.
Meeting and lunch are in the Parish Hall
Please join us.
St. Anne Church and School have found a dynamic way to vividly spread our most up-to-date
news to current families, as well as, capture the
attention of the overall community! Whether the
information is important parish news or the
school’s latest and greatest updates, we will be
empowered to better communicate to all in the
form of an electronic sign that will replace our
current traditional marquee sign.
Rosary Rally
On Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 12
noon, a rosary will be recited to pray
for our nation, for our leaders, and for
other intentions. It will be on the
anniversary of our Lady of Fatima,
and about 12,000 rallies will be held in
the nation. The rosary will be
recited in front of Klein Funeral
Home on 2920 Tomball Parkway.
Bring your lawn chairs.
Call Mary Gracia at: 281-734-2779
An ELECTRONIC SIGN has been proven time
and time again as a successful outreach tool for
existing families and potential visitors. We have
begun the process by interviewing possible
vendors from which to purchase this sign.
St. Anne is seeking support by way of donations
from our loving families to help bring this
communication platform to our community.
Please join us in making this dream a reality.
Donations can be made through your company or
on an individual basis. Remember, it is a tax
deduction on your part, as well as, a huge benefit
for your church and school. We have witnessed
other neighboring parishes who have added these
signs and the response have been overwhelming
and positive!
Please contact Daisy O’Halloran in the church
office at 281-351-8106 Ext. 154
or [email protected] for more
information so we can add you or your company
to our list of charitable sponsors who are on
board, ready and willing to help us outreach to
all…our mission for others to witness us as we
are…a loving, inviting community!
This Week & Upcoming Events
“Gathering Place “
A Call to Serve
God calls us to serve one another. One of the ways we can
serve is by participating in the Gathering Place ministry. The
“gathering” team members provide a loving, welcoming and fun
environment for guests with mild to moderate memory loss.
The monthly activity program is a partnership between St.
Anne Church and Interfaith Care Partners. The gathering is held
in the parish hall, and a professional staff member from
Interfaith attends each Gathering Place.
The Gathering Place is in great need of volunteers to assist in
activities such as crafts, physical movement, socialization,
music and other engaging activities. Team members are also
needed to assist with simple decorations, lunch preparation,
invitations, phone calls and photography. It is not necessary for
a team member to provide skilled medical care. We are
especially in need of men volunteers, but ALL volunteers are
welcome.
A five to seven hour commitment per month is all you need to
serve in this amazing ministry. Please prayerfully consider
getting involved. For more information, please call Janet
Dingman at 936-449-5203 or e-mail
[email protected]

the library just after morning prayer.
Join us for Frassati Catholic High School’s Second
Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, November
6th at WindRose Golf Club in Spring, TX. The
tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun
start.
Thank you to all who participated in,
sponsored, and otherwise supported last year’s
inaugural event. It was a day filled with fun,
friendly competition, and fellowship. Don’t miss
this opportunity to be a part of our second annual
tournament!
For more information and to access registration
and sponsorship forms, visit our redesigned
website at www.frassaticatholic.org or
call Carla Alsandor, Director of Advancement,
at 832-616-3221.
We hope you will join us!
The mid-quarter progress reports will go home in one
week. The parent portal is a good way to staying touch
with grades, assignments, etc. If you have not gone on or
cannot login, please let me know so I can set you up.
Reminder: Grandparent’s/Special Friend Day and a week
of book fair are closing in. Please be sure your family or

Theology of the Body for High School
What is the Theology of the Body for teens? It is the

how they are uniquely created for greatness. Please see

October 5, 2014
Music Ministry at St. Anne
Dear Parishioners:
Thanks for your kind attention before the Masses last weekend, as I
attempted to give you a little more
information about the Broadway
Highlights coming up. The show
starts to really feel like a production once the blocking
begins. We’re on our way in this regard. The
Steinbach's really had a chance to shine this past
Monday evening, and the children learned quickly.
Please tell all of your friends about our event. We
want to have a near full if not full audience on October
16 at 7 p.m.
I am happy to be training a new singer who will both
cantor, participate in the show, and join the 10 a.m.
choir in the near future. Join me in welcoming Kevin
Cole to our music ministry. Kevin also plays violin
and viola.
I am also pleased to announce that professional tenor,
Angelo Ferrari, is coming to the music room on
Saturdays to teach private voice. If you or your
children are looking for a classically trained and
professionally active teacher, I highly recommend
Angelo. Angelo is originally from Milan but now calls
Houston his home. Nevertheless, he returns to Europe
frequently for solo engagements. It is a blessing to
have someone of his ability who is willing to teach
within our community.
St. Anne Office Angels are ladies and gentlemen
who volunteer a few hours a week in the parish
office as the Receptionist. They warmly greet
visitors, answer phones and assist with office
tasks. Their dedicated support is invaluable to
the parish.
Are you called to be an Office Angel? Contact
Alina Perez in the church office at 281-351-8106
or by email at [email protected] for
more information.
PEACE OFFICERS NEEDED
Certified plainclothes peace officers are needed
to supplement security for parish activities.
His schedule is full from 12:30-4:00. He can commit
two more hours to us, so for those who may be
interested in studying with him, do not hesitate to
contact me on his behalf at [email protected].
If you are interested in serving in this ministry,
please contact Daisy O’Halloran at
281-351-8106 Ext. 154 or by email at
[email protected] for additional
information.
The Couples for Christ Choir—Filipino group—lifted
our hearts last weekend. I wish to thank all of them
and their leaders, Mike, Melo and Taj for always being
prepared and for thoughtfully selecting music for the
Vigil Mass in which they serve.
3rd Dimension Meetings
Every 4th Saturday the Doyle Sisters, Mackensey and
Erin, will be with us. Their music teacher (my friend
as well as colleague) will join them, and in all
likelihood the new religion teacher, Mr. Rousseau, will
be there as well.
Please mark your calendars with the
following scheduled meetings at
10:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall:
Blessings to all!
