Hablar de Don Eddy es hablar de inicios, de nuevos conceptos, de vanguardia dentro del arte hiperrealista.
En los años 60 una serie de artistas desearon rom-­
per y crear un nuevo concepto, ayudados por la foto-­
grafía, empezaron a mostrar un arte mucho más actual, mas cotidiano, inmerso en el entorno. Los protagonis-­

precursores en este estilo.
En esta exposición nos invita a ver su evolución des-­
pués de más de cuatro décadas: obras que se compo-­
nen en formatos polípticos, realizados con su aerógrafo de más de 55 años, utilizando un sistema de capas que pueden llegar a tener una base de más de 25, imágenes que yuxtaponen una relación más poética, como el ar-­
tista denomina a sus estructuras.

Speaking about Don Eddy is speaking about begin-­
nings, new concepts and avant-­guard within hyper-­
realistic art.
In the 1960s a group of artists intended to break and create a new concept, and supported by photography, they began to show more current art of today, that was immersed in the surroundings. The protagonists were re-­
ÜHFWLRQVLQVKRSZLQGRZVJDVVWDWLRQVKXJHSRUWUDLWV
and Don’’s idea to show his urban landscapes: Volkswa-­
gen cars, parkings, car shops, the famous car’’s bumper, the glass Windows, mirrors and showcases, etc... made him become one of the precursors in this style.
