ILUMINACIÓN DEL CENTRO COMERCIAL DE
SAN MARTIN, EN MENDOZA (ARGENTINA)

Plot Lune 10 ®
Grupo MCI conjuntamente con MRD de Buenos Aires, han iluminado con tecnología LED RGB la fachada del nuevo Centro Comercial
de San Martin, ubicado en la localidad de Mendoza (Argentina).
En total se han instalado 72 proyectores Square Wall Washer® RGB, a los largo de los 130 metros de la fachada exterior del centro
comercial, y que dan un efecto de color muy dinámicos, proporcionado al edificio un ambiente moderno y divertido.
Square Wall Washer® es una luminaria de 345 x 280 mm. disponible en tres colores: blanco, blanco cálido o RGB. El proyector
está compuesto por 36 LEDs y con un cabezal orientable para adaptarse a las necesidades del usuario. Este proyector es ideal para la
iluminación de fachadas, así como bañador de pared, gracias a su grado de protección IP65.
Además de la iluminación del exterior de la fachada, también se han instalado 200 metros de Linear Flex LED® Outdoor para
iluminar la parte inferior de los bancos que recorren el centro comercial.
Finalmente, como iluminación de señalización se han colocado 100 unidades del Plot Lune 10. Plot Lune 10 es una luminaria
decorativa empotrable de suelo para la iluminación de señalización con grado de protección IP67. Su cuerpo está fabricado en aluminio
con lente transparente y está compuesto por ocho LEDs de 5 mm.

Rubio, asistieron el pasado mes de diciembre a la
puesta en marcha de la iluminación exterior del
Hospital de la Santísima Trinidad, en Salamanca.
Para la iluminación de la fachada frontal y las
partes laterales del edificio, se instalaron más de
100 m. de LedFloodStrip® Outdoor blanco
cálido, y alrededor de 35 Line Grazers® blanco
frío de 600 y 900 mm. Dos soluciones lumínicas
con tecnología LED muy adecuadas para acentuar
la arquitectura de la obra garantizando una luz
uniforme y de alto rendimiento.
El LedFloodStrip® Outdoor se utilizó para
contornear el perímetro de la parte superior del
edificio, y para realzar y perfilar los ventanales
de las dos plantas del hospital se utilizó el Line
Grazer® Mono.
El edificio fue construido en 1899 y diseñado
por el arquitecto Joaquín de la Concha Alcalde.

El pasado 10 de febrero el estudio de arquitectura A-Cero (www.a-cero.com),
dirigido por el arquitecto Joaquín Torres, inauguró su primera exposición
Vivir en la arquitectura. A-cero: Joaquín Torres & Rafael Llamazares en
el Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno (IVAM). La exposición permanecerá
abierta hasta el próximo 10 de junio.
Grupo MCI fue una de las empresas colaboradoras del evento, y por ello
tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a la presentación y cóctel de inauguración
de este magnífico evento. Entre los asistentes a la inauguración destacaron
personajes del mundo de la cultura, las artes y del deporte, así como amigos
y clientes del estudio.
La exposición Vivir en la Arquitectura repasa todos esos aspectos de la obra
de Joaquín Torres y su socio Rafael Llamazares, en una muestra retrospectiva
que se centra en la puesta en escena de un espectacular espacio interior que simula
una vivienda, y que se complementa con la exhibición de numerosas fotografías,
planos y maquetas del conjunto de la obra de A-cero, así como mobiliario diseñado
por el propio estudio y un vídeo creativo que se ha producido para la ocasión.

LIGHT+BUILDING 2012, UNA CITA CON LA
ILUMINACIÓN QUE NO PUEDE PERDERSE

Del 15 al 20 de abril del 2012, tendrá lugar en Frankfurt am Main la
Light+Building 2012. La feria de iluminación más grande del mundo, y donde
un total de 1,500 expositores en una superficie de exposición de más de
160,000 m2 presentarán sus últimas novedades y tendencias. En esta ocasión la
eficiencia energética será la temática central de la Light+Building 2012.
Light+Building es un lugar idóneo donde alrededor de 167,000 arquitectos,
arquitectos de interiores, diseñadores, decoradores, lighting designer, ingenieros,
etc., encuentran soluciones para sus negocios y proyectos.
Un año más, Grupo MCI estará presente en la feria de referencia con un stand
de 110 m2 y donde presentará su nuevo catálogo de Iluminación Técnica. Un catálogo
con un enfoque muy técnico y en el que podrán encontrar una variedad muy
selecta de productos estándar y una recopilación de proyectos en los que se ha
utilizado tecnología LED.
Un catálogo muy interesante que no pasará desapercibido por los visitantes que
visiten nuestro stand.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING FROM THE SHOPPING
MALL SAN MARTIN IN MENDOZA (ARGENTINA)

Grupo MCI in collaboration with MRD of Buenos Aires, illuminated with RGB LED technology the facade of the new shopping center
of San Martin, located in the town of Mendoza (Argentina).
A total of 72 projectors Square Wall Washer® RGB have been installed, around the 130 meters from the exterior of the mall, providing
a very dynamic color effect and transforming the building into a modern and original look.
Square Wall Washer® is a fixture of 345x280 mm, available in three colors: white, warm white or RGB. The projector has 36 LEDs x 1W
and a swivel head to suit user requirements. This product suits perfectly to architectural wall washing colors effects and offers a
protection rating IP65.
In addition to the exterior lighting of the façade, 200 meters of Linear Flex® Outdoor have also been installed to illuminate the bottom
of the benches around the mall.
Finally, 100 units of Plot Lune 10 ® were placed as a marker light. Lune 10 is a decorative recessed floor fixture with a protection
rating IP67. The body is made of aluminum with clear lens and eight LEDs of 5 mm.

Urbanism, Francisco Javier García Rubio,
attended last December at the opening of
the exterior lighting of the Hospital Santísima
Trinidad, in Salamanca (Spain).
To light up the main façade and the sides of this
emblematic building, over 100 m LedFloodStrip®
Outdoor warm white, and about 35 Line Grazer®
cold white in two different sizes, 600 and 900 mm,
were installed. LedFloodStrip® and Line Grazer®,
both common products used for accent lighting
in façade projects, have been chosen here for the
Designers desired lighting effects.
LedFloodStrip Outdoor was used to outline
the top perimeter of the building, and Line Grazer®
Mono was used to highlight the windows from
the main façade.
The 10 th of February the architectural studio A-cero, directed by the famous
spanish architect Joaquín Torres opened his first exhibition Living in the
architecture. A-cero: Joaquin Torres & Rafael Llamazares at the Instituto
Valenciano de Arte Moderno (IVAM) in Valencia. The exhibition will be open
to the public until the 10 th of June.
Grupo MCI collaborated in this event and had the opportunity to attend to
the presentation of this great and well organized party. Among the attendees
spanish celebrities of culture, arts and sports as well as friends and customers
of the famous studio were seen.
The exhibition Living in the architecture reviews all these aspects of the
work of Joaquin Torres and Rafael Llamazares in a retrospective show that
concentrates on the presentation of a spectacular space simulating the interior
of a home, complemented by numerous photographs, plans and models of the
entire range of A-cero’s work, together with furniture that the studio has
designed and a creative video for the occasion.

Light+Building, the world’s leading trade show for Architecture and Technology,
will be held in Frankfurt am Main between the 15th to the 20 th of April
2012. Over 1.5000 exhibitors will display their latest products in the more
