La Historia de uno de los primeros Lodge de Chile
El
Mítico es uno de los primeros, sino el primer,
Lodge de pesca fundado en Chile. Construido en el año
91 (bajo el nombre de Río Puelo Lodge) por un empresario
norteamericano, su diseño se realizó en base al más puro
estilo de los Lodge de pesca de Alaska: arquitectura rústica y
sencilla que rescata los principales elementos nativos de la
región, con amplios salones interiores y grandes ventanales
que apuntan hacia el Lago Tagua Tagua. La actividad
exclusiva por esos años era la pesca deportiva tanto en el río
Puelo como en los innumerables ríos y lagos de la zona, al
no existir caminos vehiculares las excursiones iniciaban
The Mitico is one of the first, if not the first, fishing lodge
founded in Chile. Built in 91 (under the name of Rio Puelo
Lodge) by an American businessman, its design was based on the
style of the fishing lodges of Alaska: simple and rustic architecture
that rescues the main elements native to the region, with spacious
indoors and large windows that face the Tagua Tagua Lake.
The exclusive activity in those years was sport fishing both in the
Puelo river as in many rivers and lakes of the area. The lack of
vehicular roads, made excursions to start directly from the dock
of the Lodge at the shores of the lake through boats, seaplanes
and helicopters touring the best fishing spots.

hacían a través de lanchas, hidroaviones y helicópteros que
recorrían los mejores spots de pesca.
Con el paso del tiempo el “Mítico Lodge del Río Puelo”
evoluciono, esta vez bajo administración chilena, hasta
convertirse en el Eco Hotel de la actualidad. Un verdadero
refugio sustentable en la naturaleza que, además de producir
su propia energía, ha puesto en valor responsablemente los
principales rasgos culturales del Puelo. Promoviendo una
filosofía de respeto, cuidado y protección tanto de los ríos
y bosques que lo rodean como del particular estilo de vida
de la gente que habita este valle. Por otra parte el Lodge ha
complementado su arquitectura original con instalaciones y
atractivos para el relajo y disfrute de toda la familia como
piscina, sala de juegos, hot tubs y múltiples senderos que se
internan por los bosques aledaños.
Además, a través de su equipo de guías profesionales,
Mítico Lodge ofrece más de 20 aventuras en la naturaleza aptas
para diferentes tipos de intereses y habilidades como: pesca
deportiva, cabalgatas, paseos en bote, kayak, rafting, trekking,
mountain bike y rutas culturales, que en su conjunto
recorren los más destacados destinos naturales de la zona como
el valle de Cochamó, lago Azul, el Río Puelo, Llanada
Grande entre otros.
Over time, the “Mitico Lodge del Rio Puelo” evolved, this
time under Chilean administration, to become the Eco Hotel
today. A real refuge sustainable in nature which besides
producing its own energy, has responsibly valued the main
cultural features of Puelo. Promoting a philosophy of respect,
care and protection of both the rivers and forests that surround
it, as the particular style of life of the inhabitants of this valley.
Moreover, the Lodge has complemented its original architecture
and attractive facilities for relax and enjoyment of the whole
family including a swimming pool, game room, hot tubs, and
multiple trails that go through surrounding forests.
Recientemente con la creación del Parque Tagua Tagua en
el valle El Salto, en la orilla opuesta a los terrenos del lodge, y
de la Viña Puelo (una de las más australes del mundo), a unos

pocos kilómetros río arriba, la oferta de actividades y rincones
por descubrir del Mítico Puelo Lodge se ha diversificado,
incorporando la conservación, investigación científica, y la
producción de vino patagónico, cuyas primeras botellas están a
punto de ser descorchadas.
Mítico Puelo Lodge alberga 21 cómodas habitaciones full
equipadas con un servicio y atención de alto nivel. Además de
un amplio salón que permite desarrollar, en medio de un paisaje
sobrecogedor, reuniones de trabajo y eventos corporativos de
todo tipo.
Mítico Puelo Lodge se encuentra ubicado en la ribera
Sur-Este del lago Tagua Tagua, en la comuna de Cochamó,
región de Los Lagos. A 140 kms de Puerto Varas hacia la
cordillera, frente al Parque Tagua Tagua y a 3 kms. de la primera
viña en la selva Valdiviana.
Besides, through its team of professional guides, Mitico Lodge
offers more than 20 different adventures in the nature, suitable
for different types of interests and abilities such as: fishing,
horseback riding, boating, kayaking, rafting, trekking and
cultural routes which together run through the most outstanding
natural destinations in the area such as the Valley of Cochamo,
the Blue Lake, the Rio Puelo, Llanada Grande, among others.
Recently, with the creation of the Tagua Tagua Park in the
valley El Salto, on the opposite shore to the lodge grounds and of
Vineyard Puelo (one of the world’s southernmost), a few miles
upstream, the offer of activities and places to discover in Mitical
Puelo Lodge has diversified, incorporating conservation, scientific
research and the production of Patagonian wine, whose first
bottles are about to be uncorked.

south-east shore of Lake Tagua Tagua, in
Cochamo, Los Lagos Region. At 140 kms
distant from the city of Puerto Varas
towards the mountain range, facing the
Tagua Tagua Park, and 3 kms from the
first vineyard in the Valdivia rainforest.
