Dear Parents,
Over twenty years ago St George’s College took the bold step to create a sister school in the northern suburbs of
Buenos Aires. Since 1989 hard work and many developments have turned St George’s College North into the
successful school it is today. The recent Latin American Heads’ Conference Review reinforced the strengths of
the College to be: the bilingual, integrated international curriculum; the tutor system to monitor student progress;
the contract teachers from abroad; full time staff, who can spend more time with the students; excellent tradition
in the creative arts; the purpose built campus that is self-contained, safe and secure; the calm, disciplined
atmosphere throughout the College. I am sure St George’s College North is the choice of its parents for these,
and many other, reasons.
The College would like to continue with the Master Plan for buildings that includes a Creative and Performing
Arts Centre, a Pavilion and a Swimming Pool. When completed the education of the students will be much
enhanced.
The filling of currently vacant student places within the College’s capacity would help this become a reality in
the not too distant future. A limited increase in the student population, of two or three students in each grade,
will allow the College to invest in the above projects without losing the quality, personalized education that it
offers its students at the moment. These extra students would also give extra income to increase educational
resources. A small increase in student numbers would ensure St George’s College North has an ideal school size,
small enough to have a friendly, caring family atmosphere but large enough to be able to offer extensive
facilities. I would like to underline that the College is committed to the desired maximum class size of 24
students and 48 students in each promotion.
The College would like to ask its parents to contribute to filling these vacancies by inviting friends who may be
interested in a St George’s education to contact the admissions officer, Patricia Coates. There are a few
vacancies for 2011 in most year groups with waiting lists already in a couple of grades. The main areas for focus
are the 2 and 3 year old groups in Kindergarten.

Estimados Padres.
Hace más de veinte años St George’s College decidió dar un gran paso y crear un colegio hermano en la zona
norte del Gran Buenos Aires. Desde 1989, el trabajo perseverante hizo de St George’s College North la
institución exitosa que es en la actualidad. La reciente evaluación de Latin American Heads Conference destacó
como los puntos fuertes del colegio: el programa de estudios bilingüe internacional, el sistema de tutoría que
permite realizar un seguimiento del progreso de los alumnos, los profesores contratados en el exterior, el
cuerpo docente de dedicación exclusiva que puede pasar más tiempo con los alumnos, su excelente tradición en
el área de las artes, las instalaciones centradas en un solo campus que cuenta con seguridad y el ambiente
calmo y disciplinado en todo el colegio. Estoy seguro de que son éstas, entre otras, las razones que llevan a los
padres a elegir St George’s College North.
El colegio desea seguir adelante con el Master Plan, que incluye un Centro de Artes Visuales y Escénicas, un
pavilion / quincho y una pileta de natación. Cuando logremos completarlo, la educación de los alumnos se
enriquecerá.
Para poder concretar lo expuesto en un futuro no muy lejano, nos sería de mucha ayuda lograr cubrir todas las
vacantes que aún quedan en el colegio. Un incremento limitado de dos o tres alumnos por curso haría posible la
inversión en dichos proyectos sin perder la educación personalizada de calidad ofrecida hasta el momento.
Estos alumnos extra nos permitirán incrementar los ingresos y aumentar nuestros recursos educativos. Este
pequeño aumento en el número de alumnos hará que St George’s College North sea lo suficientemente reducido
como para brindar un entorno familiar de contención, pero lo necesariamente grande como para ofrecer
amplias instalaciones. Deseo destacar que el colegio está decidido a mantener un máximo deseado de 24
alumnos por clase y 48 por camada.
El colegio desea solicitar la colaboración de los padres para ocupar las vacantes que quedan, invitando a
aquellos amigos que pudieran estar interesados en educar a sus hijos en St George’s a que se comuniquen con
nuestra encargada de admisiones, la Sra. Patricia Coates. Aún quedan vacantes en la mayoría de los cursos
para el año 2011, aunque hay lista de espera en algunos de ellos. Los grupos en los que se necesita mayor
número de alumnos son las salas de 2 y 3 años del Kindergarten.
Desde ya les agradecemos su colaboración para alcanzar los objetivos propuestos y su compromiso constante
con St George’s College North.
