HUB - 8C
DESCRIPTION - DESCRIPCIÓN
El HUB-8C permite implementar una instalación de videoportero digital con cableado CAT5 conectado según la Norma T568B.
Sus dimensiones (1U x 2U x 3U) y diseño mecánico permiten la instalación en rack normalizado, fijado a la pared o en carril DIN (opcional).
Dispone de:
- Una entrada de línea, procedente de la placa de calle o de otro HUB-8C.
- Una salida de línea, hacia otro HUB-8C.
- Ocho salidas hacia los monitores.
- Entrada de alimentación local de 24Vdc.
- Conmutador de conexión/desconexión de la carga de vídeo.
- Indicadores luminosos.
The HUB-8C distributor, allows to implement a digital video door entry system with CAT5 wiring, connected according to the T568B standard.
Dimensions (1U x 2U x 3U) and mechanical design allows installation in standard rack, fixed to the wall or DIN rail (optional).
It has:
- Line input, from the entrance panel or other HUB-8C.
- Line output, to another HUB-8C.
- Eight outputs to the monitors.
- Input for local power (24Vdc).
- Switch on / off for video load.
- Indicator lights

SALIDAS DEL HUB-8C
ALIMENTACIÓN
El HUB-8C dispone de unas bornas de alimentación para conectar una fuente de +24Vdc. Este es el modo de funcionamiento
recomendado.
Si no se conecta ninguna fuente de alimentación a las bornas, el HUB-8C se alimentará de la entrada de línea. No acarrear más
de dos HUB-8C en esta configuración.
Independientemente de si el HUB-8C se alimenta de la entrada de línea o de las bornas de alimentación, en la salida de línea
estará presente la alimentación para el siguiente HUB-8C.
El HUB-8C consume como máximo 100mA. en reposo.
La alimentación tiene asociados dos indicadores luminosos, amarillo y verde.
CARGA DE VÍDEO
El HUB-8C dispone de un conmutador, accesible a través de un orificio en la tapa, que permite conectar o desconectar la carga
de vídeo adecuada al sistema de video diferencial utilizado.
Esta carga deberá conectarse en el último HUB-8C de una troncal, que será el que tenga libre su conector de salida de línea.
La carga de vídeo tiene asociados dos indicadores luminosos rojos.
INDICADORES LUMINOSOS
Están situados en los conectores de entrada y salida de línea.
- Leds rojos apagados: la carga de vídeo no está conectada. Este debe ser el caso cuando se conecta la
salida de línea al siguiente HUB-8C.
- Leds rojos encendidos: la carga de vídeo está conectada. Este debe ser el caso cuando el HUB-8C no tiene
nada conectado a la salida de línea (es el último).
- Led amarillo apagado: el HUB-8C no tiene ninguna alimentación y, por lo tanto, no está trabajando.
- Led amarillo encendido: el HUB-8C tiene alimentación y está trabajando.
- Led verde apagado: el HUB-8C trabaja con alimentación remota, que le llega por la entrada de línea.
- Led verde encendido: el HUB-8C trabaja con alimentación local, que le llega desde una fuente de
alimentación conectada a las bornas. Esta es la situación recomendada.
ENTRADA DE LÍNEA
Es el conector RJ-45 llamado IN.
Recibe las señales del sistema digital Auta, tal como se describen más adelante.
En este conector están alojados los indicadores luminosos amarillo y verde de la alimentación.
Si el HUB-8C no está alimentado localmente, la longitud del cable conectado a la entrada de línea es importante. Ver más
adelante.
SALIDA DE LÍNEA
Es el conector RJ-45 llamado OUT.
Envía las señales del sistema hacia el próximo HUB-8C.
Esta salida se dejará libre cuando:
- El HUB-8C es el último de una troncal.
- El HUB-8C se ha utilizado para generar troncales.
En ambos casos se conectará la carga de vídeo, que encenderá los indicadores luminosos rojos alojados en este conector.
SALIDAS DEL HUB-8C
El HUB-8C dispone de ocho salidas agrupadas en dos filas de cuatro.
Se encuentran identificadas del 1 al 4 y del 5 al 8.
Son aptas para conectar un monitor en cada una de ellas, alejado hasta 50m del HUB-8C.
Si una salida no se utiliza se dejará desconectada del lado del HUB-8C, no del lado del monitor (no dejar cables conectados al
HUB-8C sin monitor en el otro extremo).
Si se utiliza el HUB-8C para generar troncales, hasta un máximo de 4, deberán usarse sólo las salidas impares (1, 3, 5 y 7) y
conectar la carga de vídeo.

POWER SUPPLY
The HUB-8C has a pair of terminals to connect a source of +24 Vdc. This is the recommended operation mode.
If there is not connected any power supply to terminals, the HUB-8C draws power from the input line. It is
recommended to carry no more than two HUB-8C units, in this configuration.
Regardless of whether the HUB-8C is powered from the input line or from the power supply terminals, the power will be
present in the output line, for the next HUB-8C distributor.
The HUB-8C requires 100mA maximum, in standby mode.
The power supply has two associated LEDs, a yellow one and a green one.
VIDEO LOAD
The HUB-8C features a switch, accessible through a hole, which allows switching the video load suitable for the
differential video system used.
This video load must be enabled only in the last HUB-8C unit of every riser. This HUB-8C will be the one having its carry
output line free. The HUB-8C unit has two red LEDs, that show whether the video load is enabled or not.
INDICATOR LIGHTS
They are located at connectors for input and carry output lines.
- The red LEDs are OFF: The video load is not connected. This must be the situation when you connect the carry output
line to the next HUB-8C unit.
- The red LEDs are ON: The video load is connected. This must be the case when the HUB-8C has nothing connected to
the carry output line (it is the last one of the riser).
- The yellow LED is OFF: The HUB-8C is not properly fed and, therefore, is not working.
- The yellow LED is ON: The HUB-8C is powered and working.
- The Green LED is OFF: The HUB-8C is working with remote power, which comes from its input line.
- The Green LED is ON: The HUB-8C is working with local power supply that comes from a power supply connected to
its terminals. This situation is the recommended one.
INPUT LINE
Is the RJ-45 connector called 'IN'.
It receives the digital AUTA system signals, as described below.
This connector allocates the green and yellow power supply LEDs.
If the HUB-8C unit is not locally powered, the length of the wire connected to the input line is quite important. Keep
reading below.
CARRY OUTPUT LINE
Is the RJ-45 connector called 'OUT'.
It sends the digital AUTA system signals, to the next HUB-8C unit.
This output will remain unconnected when:
· The HUB-8C unit is the last one of its riser.
· The HUB-8C unit is used to generate new risers.
In both cases the video load must be enabled. Therefore, the two red LEDs in the connector will be ON.
HUB-8C OUTPUTS
The HUB-8C unit provides 8 outputs, grouped in 2 rows of 4.
These outputs are identified from 1 to 4 and from 5 to 8.
They are suitable to connect a video monitor in each of them, up to 50 meters away from the HUB-8C unit.
If any output is not used, disconnect the wire from the HUB-8C side, not from the monitor side. Do not leave
unconnected wires (without monitor) plugged into the HUB-8C unit.
If the HUB-8C is used to generate risers, use only the odd outputs (1, 3, 5, and 7), do not generate more than 4 risers,
and always enable the video load.

GRANDES INSTALACIONES - BIG INSTALLATIONS
Para estas instalaciones, caracterizadas por un gran número de monitores, se define la “celda básica” formada por 3 unidades del HUB-8C y una
Fuente de Alimentación (ALV 2.5), dando servicio a 24 monitores por celda.
En cada celda:
- si la longitud del cable de entrada de línea (entre el primer y segundo HUB-8C y entre el 2º y 3º) no supera los 6m., tan sólo será necesario
alimentar el primer HUB-8C.
- si esta longitud es mayor de 6 m., se debe llevar alimentación a cada uno de los HUB-8C.
La longitud del cable entre celdas y el número de celdas tan sólo estarán limitados por la longitud máxima de la instalación (200m. entre la placa
y el monitor más alejado).
For these installations, with a large number of monitors, the 'BASIC CELL' is defined. It will consist of 3 HUB-8C units and a power supply
(ALV 2.5), serving up to 24 monitors per CELL.
On each CELL:
- If the input line wire length (between the first and the second HUB-8C units, and between the 2nd and 3º) does not exceed the 6
meters, it will only be necessary to feed the first HUB-8C unit.
- If this length is greater than 6 meters, each HUB-8C unit must have its own power supply.
The wire length between CELLs and the maximum number of CELLs, will only be limited by the maximum installation length (200 meters
between the panel and the farthest monitor).
