NEW YORK DOMINICAN OFFICERS 23rd Anniversary • 3
...A Message from our President
Distinguished guests, honorees, sponsors, family and friends thank you for joining
NYDO in celebrating our 23rd anniversary! I am eternally grateful and indebted to
you for your presence here tonight, and for your continued unwavering support of our
Scholarship and Awards Dinner!
The end of this year will bring forth the end of my term as NYDO’s President.
During the past two years we have streamlined NYDO, joined other Law Enforcement
groups and community groups to further NYDO’s founding mission; to give back and
to help our communities, while also being more responsive to our members.
Angel Fermín
Despite our accomplishments there is still much more left to do! I am fully confident the
next NYDO President and Board will rise to the occasion and propel NYDO to even greater heights! With your
continued support, NYDO will be able to continue its’ mission of community service and aid both here and abroad.
I would like to thank all of our honorees for their contributions to the Dominican community and to Law Enforcement.
I would also like to commend the scholarship winners. May the scholarship you receive tonight help you further your
academic success, so that you too may one day be able to help others!
Finally, I would like to thank you for the trust you placed in me and the entire NYDO Board, who worked tirelessly, on
your behalf, to insure all our events and community goals were successful! It has truly been my honor and privilege to
serve you all!

a 50 miembros.
“Quería educar a

no hablan inglés. “Yo puedo escuchar tus
