TECHNICAL INFORMATION RIMAC DELTAMETRINA 2,5 EC FITOSANITARY ACTION: Insecticide ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Deltamethrin FORMULATION AND CONCENTRATION: Emulsifiable concentrate MODE OF ACTION: RIMAC DELTAMETRINA 2,5 EC is a broad-spectrum pyrethroid insecticide. RIMAC DELTAMETRINA 2,5 EC is a very active product that acts by contact, ingestion, and persistent since it’s relatively stable resists washing effect of rain and is relatively stable to light, this product has a residual action. PHYTOTOXICITY: RIMAC DELTAMETRINA 2,5 EC is not phytotoxic at recommended doses and application times. COMPATIBILITY: This product may be mixed with most commonly used agrochemicals, except those containing sulfur. It is advisable to perform a compatibility test before the application. TOXICOLOGY: Toxicological category: IV Oral LD50: for rats: >2.000 mg/kg (from 15 g/L CE)/kg Oral LD50: for rats: >2.000 mg/kg (from 15 g/L EC)/kg Dermal and ocular LD50: Acute subcutaneous for rats and rabbits >2.000 mg/kg. It is not a skin irritant, slightly irritating to eyes (rabbits). Inhalation LC50: rat: >2 200 mg/m3 air/4h; >4 600 mg/m3 air/1h (micronized). Warning phrase: Precaution Toxicological band: green HOW TO USE OR APPLICATION APPLICATION EQUIPMENT: Application equipment should be in good working condition, free of leaks and well calibrated. RIMAC DELTAMETRINA 2,5 EC may be applied using manual, terrestrial or aerial equipment. For terrestrial applications, use a volume of mixture of 400 L/ha to 600 l/ha, and 50 to100 L/ha for aerial applications. Aerial applications are authorized only for rice, beans, melon and watermelon. Application mixture has to be used on the same day it is prepared. Use flat fan nozzle tips to apply this mixture. This product does not have any physical nor chemical action on the application equipment. HOW TO PREPARE THE MIXTURE: Protective gear such as rubber boots, respirator, goggles and gloves should be worn while preparing the mixture. Half fill the spray tank, drum, or mixing tank with water. Add the recommended dose of RIMAC DELTAMETRINA 2,5 EC and agitate constantly using a mixing paddle. Finally, fill the tank to the desired volume. It is advisable to keep handy the following auxiliary equipment: dispensers, agitation paddles, buckets, barrels and brushes. After every application, is necessary to clean the equipment and provide adequate maintenance. USE RECOMMENDATIONS: USE RECOMMENDATIONS: GUATEMALA, HONDURAS, BELIZE, EL SALVADOR, NICARAGUA. Transport separately from feeds, forages and medicines. Keep in hermetically sealed labeled and original container. This product is highly inflammable, it resists oxidation and light; it’s non-corrosive. REENTRY INTERVAL: Reentry may occur as soon as the applied product has dried otherwise full personal protection equipment should be worn. APPLICATION INTERVAL: Will depend on the infestation level of the pest. PREHARVEST INTERVAL: 8 days for all crops. SIGNS OF INTOXICATION: agitation, irritability, convulsions, vomit. ANTIDOTE AND MEDICAL TREATMENT: Antidote does not exist. Treat symptomatically. MEASURES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: toxic to fishes and crustaceans. Do not pollute rivers, lakes and ponds with this product, its containers or empty packages. Toxic to bees. MANAGEMENT OF CONTAINERS, PACKAGING, WASTE AND REMANTS: Use the entire contents of the containers. When empty, wash and rinse the containers three times with clean water and add to already prepared application mixture. Disable empty containers by perforating them. If the country has an official container collection program take the container to the nearest collection center and discard it according to the instructions of the product distributor.
