Dear Parents and Guardians:
Thank you to everyone who participated in our important stakeholder surveys, which closed last week.
We are looking forward to reviewing your feedback and continuing to answer questions that were posed
by our families, students, staff and community members. Don’t forget that Frequently Asked Questions
documents based on community input are available on our district website for all three of our major
revisioning projects: The Wildwood Building Project, potential 7-12 Consolidation, and Pre-K to 12
Regionalization. These will continue to be updated as new questions arise, so check back often.
Now that Survey September has passed, we are looking forward to Engagement October. During
October, you will have opportunities to learn more and share your input about our revisioning projects at
six public forums and three School Committee meetings, and you can learn more about the concept of
21st century learning at a free screening of the Sundance award-winning documentary Most Likely to
Succeed. The dates, times and locations for all of these events are included in the attached newsletter. I
also encourage you to watch Let’s Talk About It: Proposed ARPS Changes. Assistant Superintendent
Mike Morris, Human Resources Director Kathryn Mazur and I sat down with Joan Temkin at Amherst
Media to discuss each of the projects.
