Love your neighbor.” ~ Mark 12:30 My dear parishioners, The “Year of Faith” calls each of us as believers to “rediscover” God’s joy, to “radiate” God’s word, and to make our christian witness “frank and contagious.” (Pope Benedict XVI) Let us pray for our nation this week and let our faith guide us as we vote. Today’s bulletin includes a “Voters Guide” on important issues, especially the sanctity and dignity of human life from conception to natural death. I leave today with our choir on our pilgrimage to Italy. I will remember you at every Basilica and Holy Shrine. Mary, Queen of All Saints, pray for us. Love and blessings, Fr. Bob Cilinski Pastor Fall Handcraft Show Hosted by Fr. Juan Puigbo Fr. Parish Life The Parish Office is closed Monday thru Friday from 12:00 noon - 1:00pm. Legion of Mary ~ School Library Meets Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm Focolare Movement Meeting - Saturday, November 17th at 8:30am in Meeting Room 2 - The Movement was founded in Trent, Italy, in 1943 and is present today in 182 nations and reaches millions of people. Focolare means “hearth” or “family fireside.” Chiara Lubich, founder of the Focolare, together with a small group of friends, realized that God is the only ideal worth living for and as a result they focused their lives on the Gospel. Soon many others followed. Their goal became one of striving towards the fulfillment of Jesus’ prayer to the Father: “May they all be one” (Jn 17:21). A spirituality of unity came to life and gave rise to a movement of spiritual and social renewal. All are invited. Coats-to-Go has been a ministry of All Saints parish for the past nine years. On Sunday, November 18th from 7:00am-7:00pm, we will be collecting coats to be distributed on Thanksgiving Day to the needy at “Central Union Mission,” “So Others May Eat” and “Hispanic Family Ministry,” all in Washington, DC. Our U-haul will be parked at the front entrance of the church (Sunday Masses only). Last year we collected approximately 675 coats and wish to thank all of you for this generosity and hope to show again the kindness of our parishioners. Once again, coats only please. Our Year of Faith mission is to share the Good News of our faith with others in the “new evangelization.” To succeed, every member is called to be a steward of this mission and of our parish. This weekend is commitment weekend. Last week, you heard about our many parish ministries, our stewardship program and how you can participate. In addition, special information has been mailed to every home in the parish. If you did not receive this information, there are letters on the tables near the entrances of the church. We realize that every commitment made is truly a sacrificial gift to God. We can never surpass the generosity of the Lord, and this is our opportunity to say, “Thank you, Lord, for all of our blessings.” Remember, a small sacrifice on everyone’s part will make a big difference. Thank you.
