Means Restriction Education, Parent Materials
Means Restriction Education, Parent Materials Parent education materials were created by the Children's Hospital Colorado Project Team, in cooperation with the Colorado Department of Health and the Environment and the University of Colorado School of Public Health. The content of the parent education materials were meant to reinforce the message of Means Restriction Education and to provide families with links to additional resources. The materials were produced in both English and Spanish and were given to families at the time that the education was delivered. FIREARM STORAGE OPTIONS On the morning of their scheduled flight to Chicago, my son Aaron hand ed his travel bag to his mom. She took the bags to the car and waited. A few minutes passed before she went back into the house, noticed a light on out side the garage, walked through the garage door, saw him lying on the ground and thought he fell. Seconds later, she saw my firearm in his hand. Aaron wrote: "...I have been unhappy for awhile and there is nothing left for me on this planet except you guys. I don't feel any connection with the rest of the family or any of my friends...Everything I have just wrote and done with my life is meaningless."
