EXTRACT FROM THE PRESS
" ... It's a new adventure solo. It is the passion and a blank page at the service of
creativity and serving the unredeemed melomanía with all of us and all of you who
celebrate life ... the teacher becomes constant display their prodigious harmonic
constructions, its filing, your intelligence, a sui generis intelligence not too much (almost
nothing) stop to think about what follows. He simply let go. The technique supports it
and an overflowing imagery illuminates the steps. Hector Infanzón and miscegenation of
his music know that to honor and celebrate our oldest and deepest traditions, there is
as always bet on the forefront.
Antonio Malacar/ La Jornada
“.... The group from Mexico, led by the brilliant piano of Héctor Infanzón, was the
surprise gig of the ’94. The group was so immediately accepted that they were invited to
play the following night for a Sandbar series show where they again wowed the crowd”
Offbeat, Magazzine:
“...There are musicians who become their medium and transform themselves into
magical vessels of creativity, imagination and emotional musical transport. Héctor
Infanzón is one of those exceptional individuals who take us with him into that beautiful
and rarely reached realm of musical and emotional paradise."
Alfredo Cruz, KLON/88.1 FM Long Beach, CA
“.... The performance of the Héctor Infanzón quartet, a jazz group from MÉXICO led by
pianist Infanzón was widely touted as one of the best jazz performances of 1994.
“Energized” is probably the most appropriate term to describe his ensemble.... Latin
rhythms meet jazz sensibilities, and the music flies.”
