may have noticed that our
Student Artwork Calendar
and Parent Handbook has
returned to full color after
four years of being printed in
two color only. Our thanks
goes to the Edmonds Public
Schools Foundation for
providing a grant that funded
the difference in cost. We could
not be more pleased to again
be displaying the amazing
artistic talent of our student
artists’ work in its original
colorful format.
Comprising five director districts, the Board of Directors
conducts the business of the Edmonds School District.
The board meets alternate Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the
Board Room at the Educational Services Center, 20420
68th Ave. W., Lynnwood. Study sessions, at which the
board does not vote on matters, are held as needed on
alternate Tuesdays at 6 p.m.
Despite our best efforts, there will be a time when something in the Edmonds School District doesn’t work for you
– a time when you question why something was done, or
not done. When you find yourself in this situation, we ask
that you work together with us by following the steps below
as established by our School Board.

This is the 22nd year that student artwork has been used
throughout the calendar and handbook. The artwork
provides an opportunity to share with you the important
initiatives we undertake to improve student learning.
Brief updates are featured along with the monthly artwork
on each calendar page explaining teacher professional
development, our health and wellness initiative, Career
and College Readiness, and more.
Not unlike the owl on this page, we want students brighteyed and eager to start the school year. So we ask you
to take a few moments and check out the resources this
publication offers.
Superintendent Nick Brossoit holds monthly, noon to
1:00 p.m. meetings in the Boardrooms of the District
Office, 20420 68th Avenue West, Lynnwood, to discuss
items and questions that individuals may bring up during the gathering and to host presentations on topics
of interest about the District and our main mission student learning.

school-wide concern, this becomes Step 1.
Step 3: Contact the Assistant Superintendents’ Office.

If you are unable to resolve the concern during any of the
above steps, please request the person at that level to
assist you in moving the process to the next step. Board
members may ask the Superintendent to discuss citizen

Este es el 22vo año que el trabajo artístico del estudiante ha sido

que llevamos a cabo para mejorar el aprendizaje del estudiante.
Acompañando en cada página con el trabajo artístico del mes, se

lo referente al desarrollo profesional de los maestros, nuestra salud
e iniciativas para el bienestar, preparación para el Colegio y la
Carrera Profesional y más.
Así de manera muy parecido al buho en esta página, queremos
estudiantes con unos ojos brillantes y con ganas de comenzar el año
escolar. Así que le pedimos que se tome unos momentos y revise los
recursos que esta publicación ofrece.
Integrada por cinco directores distritales, la Junta Directiva de
Directores se encarga de llevar a cabo los negocios del Distrito
Escolar de Edmonds. La junta se reúne en martes alternados
(uno martes si, un martes no) a las 6:30 p.m en la sala de
juntas del centro de servicios educativos en el 20420 68th
Ave. W., Lynnwood. Las sesiones de estudio, en las cuales la
junta no hace votos en los asuntos o temas, se llevan cabo en
martes alternados a las 6 p.m.

El superintendente, Nick Brossoit preside de forma mensual del

A pesar de nuestros mejores esfuerzos, habrá veces que algo
en el Distrito Escolar de Edmonds no funcione para ustedhabrá veces cuando usted haga preguntas de por qué algo se
hizo o no se hizo. Cuando usted se encuentre en esa situación,
le pedimos que trabaje en conjunto con nosotros siguiendo los
siguientes pasos establecidos por nuestra Junta Escolar.
Paso 1:Discuta el tema con el maestro(a) o un consejero guía
de la escuela, o la persona correspondiente de un departamento o programa.
Paso 2:Discuta el tema con el director o directora. Si es una
inquietud a nivel de toda la escuela, este paso se convierte en
el paso 1.
Paso 3:Contacte la Oficina del Asistente del Superintendente.
Paso 4:Contacte la Oficina del Superintendente.
Si usted no logra resolver su inquietud durante los pasos
anteriores, por favor solicite a la persona a ese nivel para

Levy Election 2014
February 11, 2014, residents in our District will be asked to replace our
existing School Programs and Operations Levy passed by a supermajority of voters in 2010. This levy represents 28 percent of our District’s daily
operating budget. In addition to the information you have already received
about this election measure, please take a moment to talk to a neighbor or

the start of each year with your current contact information and a
reliable alternative emergency contact person(s). These numbers
will be used to reach you and/or the alternative contact in the
event your student becomes ill or is injured at school. Please
notify the school immediately if this information changes during
the school year.
Parent-Student Reunification
A weather or other emergency situation could require students
to be picked up at a different time or in a different location. If
this occurs, we ask: 1) be patient, and 2) bring identification (e.g.
your driver’s license). ID will be required of you or any designated
individual approved to pick up your student.
How do I know if school is closed or operating
on an abnormal schedule?

Directory Information:
Opting Out of Its Release
If District officials decide not to amend the record, as
requested by the parent or eligible student, they will
notify the parent or eligible student of the decision and
advise them of their right to a hearing regarding the
request for amendment. Additional information regarding hearing procedures will be provided to a parent or
eligible student when notified of the right to a hearing.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - NEW
There is a REVISED Do Not Release Directory
Information Form this year. If you previously
turned in a form, YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE AND
SUBMIT A NEW FORM. The choices you make this year
will be electronically recorded and will not change
through your student’s career in the District unless
you submit a new form. School districts can routinely
release what is called “directory information.”
Directory information includes a student’s name,
photograph, address, telephone number, date and
place of birth, dates of attendance, participation in
officially recognized activities and sports, weight/height
of members of athletic teams, grade in school, diplomas
and awards received, and the most recent previous
school attended by the student. This information is
not released for commercial purposes, but can be
released to provide educational, scholarship, vocational,
occupational and/or military information, or to the news
media or law enforcement.

You have the right to withhold this information. If you do not
wish to have such information about your child released, you
must notify your school in writing. You can print, fill out, and submit
to your child’s school the Do Not Release Directory Information Form
(P-190) in English and Spanish at www.edmonds.wednet.edu/forms
or pick up a copy of the form at your child’s school.
Notification of Rights Under FERPA
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords parents or
students over 18 years of age (“eligible students”) certain rights with respect
to a student’s education records. They are:
• The right to inspect and review a student’s education records within 45
days of the day the Edmonds School District receives a request for access.*
Parents or eligible students should submit to the school principal (or appropriate school official) a written request that identifies the record(s) they
wish to inspect. The principal will make arrangements for access and notify
the parent or eligible student of the time and place where the records will
be inspected.
• The right to request an amendment of a student’s education records that
the parent or eligible student believes is inaccurate or misleading. They
should write the school principal, clearly identifying the part of the record
they want changed and specify why it is inaccurate or misleading.
• The right to consent to disclosures of personally
identifiable information, called “directory information”
contained in a student’s education records, except to
the extent that FERPA authorizes disclosure without
consent. One exception, which permits disclosure
without consent, is disclosure to school officials with
legitimate educational interests. A school official is a
person employed by the District as an administrator,
supervisor, instructor, or support staff member (including health or medical staff and law enforcement unit
personnel); a person serving on the School Board; a
person or company with whom the District has contracted to perform a special task (such as an attorney,
auditor, medical consultant, or therapist); or a parent
or student serving on an official committee, such as
a disciplinary or grievance committee, or assisting
another school official in performing his or her tasks.
A school official has a legitimate educational interest if
the official needs to review an education record in order to fulfill his or her professional responsibility. Upon
request, District officials disclose education records
without consent to officials of another school district in
which a student seeks or intends to enroll.
FERPA requires a school district to make a reasonable
attempt to notify the student of a records request unless it states in its annual notification that it intends to
forward records on request.
• The right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department
of Education concerning alleged failures by the District
to comply with the requirements of FERPA. The name
and address of the office that administers FERPA are:
Family Policy Compliance Committee, U.S. Department
of Education, 600 Independence Avenue SW, Washington D.C. 20202-4605.
* State Law Qualification: Although FERPA allows 45
days to honor a request, State policy records law
requires an appropriate response to a “public records”
request within five business days.
Special Education Services
Special Education services are provided to all qualified
students ages birth to 21. To inquire about services for
students currently enrolled in the District, contact the
school psychologist at your local school. For students
not currently enrolled, please call the Psychology and
Counseling Services Office at 425-431-7208. District
policies, procedures, and any required reports relating
to Special Education are available to the public, upon
request, through the District’s Special Education office.
Student Internet Use and
Electronic Communication
The Edmonds School District provides all students
with access to networked services as well as to the
Internet and some forms of electronic communication.
Having access allows students to use online resources
purchased by the District to support student learning
and the District’s library system, as well as free Internet
sites. All students participate in Internet Safety lessons
yearly. If you do not want your student to have access to
the Internet and the District supported online resources
while at school, please complete the Electronic Information Networks/Student Internet and Electronic Communication Exclusion form posted at www.edmonds.
wednet.edu/forms or pick up a copy of the form at your
child’s school.
Welcome to School Meals
Breakfast and lunch are served every day at each
school. Menus are available at the schools each
month and are posted at www.edmonds.wednet.edu.
Meals can be paid for in advance by cash or check
(made payable to Edmonds School District) or at the
time of service. Meals can also be paid for online by
creating an account at www.myLunchMoney.com. Meal
account balances can be monitored through MyLunchMoney or through Skyward Family Access. Free and
reduced-cost meals are available for students whose
families meet federal eligibility requirements. For more

Student Health
Student Alcohol and Drug Use Policy
The Edmonds School District recognizes that the use/abuse and possession
of alcohol, controlled, illegal, addictive, or harmful substance(s), including
anabolic steroids, is a societal problem and may represent an impairment to
the normal development, well-being, and academic performance of students.
To ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all students, the District is
committed to the development of a program which emphasizes prevention,
intervention, aftercare support, and necessary corrective actions.
Whether your student is entering school as a kindergartner
or looking forward to graduation in June, abiding by good
health practices by all students will help keep us all
healthier during the school year. It is very important that
if your child is ill, that you keep him/her home, or make
appropriate child care arrangements.
•Bringing an ill a child to school puts other children and
staff at risk of getting sick.
The District also recognizes the effects to the school, home, and community

seek assistance rests with the student and his/her parent(s)/guardian(s),
school staff shall work with the home and community to develop and implement a comprehensive prevention and intervention program.

Emergency Medications and Students
with Life Threatening Conditions
1.For the health and safety of students with Life Threatening Conditions (TLC), our school district considers
compliance with the State’s Life Threatening Conditions Law (RCW 28A.210.320) to be of the highest
priority.
2.Examples of possible Life Threatening Conditions
include: Severe Allergies (anaphylaxis) to food, insect
stings or contact with certain substances, Diabetes,
Seizures, certain cardiac conditions, and many more.
If you are unsure, consult with your school’s School
Nurse.
3.A student with a LTC must have the following on site
before they can start school:
•A health plan addressing the Life Threatening
Condition
•If needed, medication and/or equipment orders
•If needed, medication and/or equipment
4.Compliance with number three will need to be in place
by a designated date in August, typically Tuesday
approximately two weeks before the first day of school,
in order to guarantee student ability to attend on the
first day of school. If parent/guardian delivers required
items after that date, every attempt will be made to allow the student to attend but it cannot be guaranteed.

Asthma Inhalers
There are state laws governing asthma inhaler use
in schools. A note from a parent or guardian is not
sufficient. The following things need to be in place
for a student to self-administer asthma inhalers or
emergency medications:
1.A medication authorization from the student’s
healthcare provider;
2.The parent or guardian needs to complete and
submit the documentation required by the school;
3.The student has to demonstrate to the healthcare provider and a registered nurse at the
school the ability to use the inhaler safely and as
prescribed.
Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
Part of our responsibility is to inform you each year of the District’s policy on
student use of drugs/alcohol. This policy is as follows:
Any student who is under the influence of or possesses, sells, offers for sale,
or distributes alcohol or controlled substances or drug paraphernalia will be
considered under the disciplinary category of exceptional misconduct, which
warrants an immediate resort to a short-term or long-term suspension or
expulsion.

Cervical cancer rates in Washington state can be
reduced by protecting girls from HPV, the Human
Papillomavirus. HPV is a very common virus that
is spread through genital contact. Some types can
cause cervical cancer or genital warts. Both women
and men can get HPV and easily spread it to others
without knowing they have it. For more information on

Pesticide Application Practices
Our District has established an Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
to help provide a safe and healthy learning, working and playing environment for students, staff, families, and users of our properties. We
use an IPM approach to control unwanted vegetation, plant disease,
and pest populations. We use pest and vegetation management
methods that minimize the risks to human health, wildlife, and the
environment while remaining economically feasible for the School
District. These methods include pro-active building and landscape
design, sanitation, exclusion, education, use of cultural, mechanical,
biological controls and the use of pesticides. The following is a list of
most often used pesticides.

The Notification Process
Forty-eight hours advance notification of a scheduled pesticide application at any site will be made by written notice and posted in a
prominent location. The notice will be on an 8 ½ x 11 inch placard
and provide the name of the pesticide used, intended date and time
of application, location to which the pesticide is to be applied, pest
being controlled and name and phone number of the District contact
person.
Interested parents, guardians, or staff may make a written request to
be provided 48-hour advance notification prior to a pesticide application. Information on the process is available at your child’s school.
Parents, guardians, or staff who have made a written request for
notification will be contacted by email, phone, postal mail, or receive it
through “kid mail.”
Notices of Application
Notice of pesticide applications will also be posted at the school at
time of treatment. For landscape application a 4-by-5 inch placard
will be posted at the application location and at major access points
to the site. For interior, structural and exterior human pest applications, notice will be placed at site of treatment and at access points to
the area/rooms(s) on an 8 ½-by-11 inch placard. Notices will state:
type of pesticide used, date and time of application, location where
the pesticide will be applied, pest to be controlled, name and phone
number of the District contact person. Notices will remain in place for
at least 24 hours from the time the application is completed.
In the event the pesticide label requires a restricted entry interval
greater than 24 hours, the notification placard will remain in place
consistent with the restricted entry interval time as required by the
pesticide label. The School District is not liable for the removal of
notices by unauthorized persons. The District will not be held liable
for personal property damage or bodily injury resulting from the
unauthorized removal of notices.
Facility Use and Access

Emergency Use Situations
The goal of this policy is to improve school staff safety, reduce
energy costs and make efficient use of shared custodial labor.
Below outlines what the standard hours are for buildings to be
open and which schools are designated for community use:
Pre-notification is not required when an emergency school facility
application is made to control a pest that can cause injury, wasp/
hornets, or a pest presenting an immediate health risk. However,
notification consistent with a normal application will occur as soon as
possible after an emergency application is conducted. Pre-notification
is also not required if the application is made when the school is not
occupied by students for at least 48 hours after application. Applications of anti-microbial pesticides or the placement of insect or rodent
baits do not require notification or placards if they are not accessible
to children.
Pesticides may be applied by District staff or commercial applicators.
If required, pesticides may be applied anywhere on District property.

Asbestos Management Plan
The District has developed an Asbestos Management Plan for each
school, as required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response
Act of 1986. The act requires schools to be inspected to identify any
asbestos-containing building materials, and for any such suspected
materials to be located, samples (or assumed), and rated according
to condition and potential hazard.
Every three years the District conducts a re-inspection to determine
whether the condition of the known or assumed asbestos-containing
materials (ACMB) has changed, and to make recommendations on
managing or removing the materials. A walk-through inspection is
also made every six months.
The following buildings contain no known asbestos-containing
materials, therefore no operations and maintenance programs or
future inspections are required: Edmonds-Woodway, Lynnwood,
Meadowdale, and Mountlake Terrace High Schools; Beverly, Cedar
Way, Cedar Valley, Chase Lake, Hazelwood, Lynndale, Maplewood,
Martha Lake, Meadowdale, Seaview, Spruce, Terrace Park, and Westgate Elementary Schools. It is the intention of the District to comply
with all federal and state regulations controlling asbestos, and to
take whatever steps necessary to ensure students and employees a
healthy and safe environment in which to learn and work.
Interested persons are welcome to review a copy of the Asbestos
Management Plan located in each school and at the District’s Maintenance Office; 2927 Alderwood Mall Blvd., Lynnwood. All inquiries
regarding the plan and/or the asbestos-related issues should be
directed to George Marshall, District Asbestos Program Coordinator, at
425-431-7244.
A. STANDARD HOURS FOR BUILDINGS TO BE OPEN:
 Regular hours for staff access:
–6 a.m. - 6 p.m. for middle and high schools, Monday - Friday
–7 a.m. - 7 p.m. for elementary schools, Monday - Friday
–6 a.m. - 7 p.m. for the ESC, Monday - Friday
– 12 noon - 6 p.m. on Sundays (no heat, security, or custodian)
–No Saturday access except for evening activities as noted in
the next bullet
•Exceptions are permitted for school-based evening activi-
ties, such as extracurricular student activities, Math Night,
PTA carnival, Art Show, Book Fair, etc.
 Security, heating and custodial schedules will be set to
support open access for staff during these hours; buildings
are “closed” outside of their designated schedule.
 Parking lot lights turn off at designated times unless evening
activities are scheduled.

1) All schools (not just designated community use schools) are
available for evening and weekend school-sponsored, PTA, and
booster club activities; all gyms will be available for scheduling
by community youth sports leagues during the winter months
(Nov.-March).

3. Un estudiante con LTC deberá tener lo siguiente en la
escuela antes de que comenzar clases:

4. El cumplimiento con el tercer punto necesitará ser hecho

primer día de clases, esto con el fin de garantizar de que
el estudiante pueda asistir al primer día de clases. Si los
padres/guardián entregan los artículos requeridos después
de esa fecha, se hará lo todo lo posible para permitir que el
estudiante asista, pero no se podrá garantizar.

El distrito también reconoce el efecto resultante de consumo/abuso de drogas y

Inhaladores para el Asma
Existen leyes estatales que rigen el uso de los inhaladores
para el asma en las escuelas. Una nota de padre de familia o
guardián no es suficiente. Se necesita tener listas las siguientes cosas para que un estudiante se auto administre los
inhaladores para el asma o medicamentos de emergencia:
1. Una autorización médica de proveedor de salud del
estudiante;
2. Los padres o guardián necesitarán completar y
entregar la documentación requerida por la escuela;
3. El estudiante tiene que demostrar al proveedor de
salud y a una enfermera(o) registrada en la escuela
la habilidad de usar el inhalador de manera segura y
como fue recetada.

Las tasas de cáncer cervical en el estado de Washington

Nuestro distrito ha establecido el Manejo Integrado de Plagas (IPM) para
ayudar a proporcionar un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro y saludable,
así como de trabajo y de juego para los estudiantes, personal, familias
y usuarios de nuestra propiedad. Usamos el alcance IPM para controlar
la vegetación indeseada, enfermedades de las plantas y poblaciones
de plagas. Usamos métodos de manejo de plagas y vegetación para
minimizar el riesgo de la salud humana, vida silvestre y del ambiente,

Situaciones de Emergencia
El Proceso de Aviso o Notificación
Plan de Manejo del Asbesto
Se llevará a cabo una notificación o aviso por escrito con cuarenta y ocho
horas de anticipación a la aplicación programada de pesticidas, la cual
será publicada en un área visible. El aviso o notificación será una letrero
de 8 ½ x 11 pulgadas y proporcionará el nombre de los pesticidas usados, las fecha y hora en que se intenta hacer la aplicación, lugar dónde
se piensa aplicar el pesticida, nombre de la plaga que se está controlando y el nombre y teléfono de la persona de contacto del Distrito.
Los padres de familia, guardianes o personal interesado podrán hacer
una solicitud por escrito a ser proporcionada con 48 horas de anticipación
previa a la aplicación del pesticida. La información en el proceso se
encuentra disponible en la escuela de su hijo(a). Los padres, guardianes
o miembros del personal que hayan hecho una solicitud escrita para ser
notificados, serán contactados por correo electrónico, teléfono, correo
postal o recibirla a través de la “correspondencia de su niño(a)”-kid mail-.
Avisos de la Aplicación
El aviso de la aplicación de pesticidas será puesto en la escuela al
momento del tratamiento. Para la aplicación en jardines un letrero de 4x5
será puesto en el lugar de la aplicación y en los puntos de mayor acceso al
sitio. Para aplicaciones contra plagas con humanos en interiores, estructuras y exteriores, el aviso será colocado en el sitio de tratamiento y en los
puntos de acceso al área/salones con un letrero de 8 ½ x 11. El aviso dirá:
El tipo de pesticida usado, fecha y hora de la aplicación, lugar donde el
pesticida será aplicado, plaga a controlar, nombre y teléfono de la persona
de contacto del Distrito. Los avisos permanecerán en el lugar por al menos
24 horas a partir de la hora en que la aplicación haya sido completada.
En el evento en que la etiqueta del pesticida requiera un periodo de
acceso restringido mayor a 24 horas, el letrero del aviso o notificación
permanecerá en el lugar consistente con el periodo de acceso restringido
requerido por la etiqueta del pesticida. El distrito escolar no es respon-

La notificación previa no es requerida cuando se hace una aplicación
de emergencia a las instalaciones de la escuela para controlar una
plaga que pueda causar lastimaduras, avispas/avispones, o una plaga
que presente riesgos de salud inmediatos. Sin embargo, la notificación
consistente con una aplicación normal ocurrirá lo más pronto posible
después que se haya llevado a cabo una aplicación de emergencia.
Tampoco se requiere de una notificación previa, si la aplicación es
hecha cuando la escuela no es ocupada por estudiantes por lo menos
48 horas después de la aplicación. La aplicación de pesticida antimicrobiano o la colocación de cebos para insectos o roedores no requieren de
una notificación o letreros si estos no están al acceso de los niños.
Los pesticidas podrán ser aplicados por el personal del distrito o aplicadores comerciales. Si se requiere, los pesticidas podrán ser aplicados en
cualquier lugar necesario en la propiedad del Distrito.

El Distrito ha desarrollado un Plan de Manejo del Asbesto para cada una
de las escuelas, como es requerido por la Ley de Respuesta de Emergencia contra Peligros del Asbesto promulgada en 1986. La ley requiere
que las escuelas sean inspeccionadas para identificar cualquier material
de construcción que contenga asbesto y que por cualquier material sospechoso que sea identificado, se colecten muestras ( o sean asumidas
que son de asbesto) y calificarlas de acuerdo a la condición y el peligro
potencial que impliquen.
Cada tres años el Distrito conduce una reinspección para determinar
si la condición del material existente o asumido que contiene asbesto
(ACMB) ha cambiado y hacer recomendaciones sobre cómo manejar
o remover el material. Una inspección tipo recorrido es también hecha
cada seis meses.
Los siguientes edificios no contienen materiales que contengan asbesto,
por lo tanto no han sido requerido ningún programa de operación o
mantenimiento o futuras inspecciones: Preparatorias Edmonds-Woodway,
Lynnwood, Meadowdale, y Mountlake Terrace; Escuelas Primarias Beverly,
Cedar Way, Cedar Valley, Chase Lake, Hazelwood, Lynndale, Maplewood,
Martha Lake, Meadowdale, Seaview, Spruce, Terrace Park, y Westgate. Es
la intención del Distrito de cumplir con todas las regulaciones estatales
y federales de control de asbesto, así como tomar los pasos que sean
necesarios para asegurar que los estudiantes y empleados tengan un
ambiente saludable y seguro para aprender y trabajar.
Las personas interesadas son bienvenidas a revisar una copia del Plan
de Mantenimiento de Asbesto localizado en cada una de las escuelas
y en la oficina de mantenimiento del distrito; 2927 Alderwood Mall

Uso de la Instalación y Parámetro

A continuación se delinean cuáles son los horarios normales para abrir los
edificios y cuáles escuelas están designadas para el uso de la comunidad.
A. LOS HORARIOS NORMALES PARA ABRIR LOS EDIFICIOS:
 Horario regular para el acceso del personal:
– 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. para las secundarias y preparatorias, de lunes a viernes
– 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. para las escuelas primarias, de lunes a viernes
– 6 a.m. - 7 p.m. para el ESC (Centro de Servicios Educativos del Distrito
de Edmonds) de lunes a viernes
– 12 del medio día - 6 p.m. los domingos (no hay calefacción, seguridad
o custodios)
– No habrá acceso los sábados, excepto para actividades vespertinas
como se indica en el siguiente punto
•Las excepciones son permitidas para las actividades vespertinas que sean
relacionadas a la escuela, tales como las actividades extracurriculares de los
estudiantes, noche de matemáticas, carnaval del PTA, show de arte, feria del
libro, etc.
 La seguridad, calefacción y horarios de los custodios serán establecidos
para apoyar el acceso abierto para el personal durante estas horas; los
edificios permanecerán “cerrados” en horas fuera de su horario designado.
 Las luces del estacionamiento se apagarán en los horarios designados, a
menos que existan actividades programadas para en la tarde/noche.
B. LAS ESCUELAS DESIGNDAS PARA EL USO DE LA COMUNIDAD:
1) Todas las escuelas (no solo las comunidades designadas para uso de la
comunidad) están disponibles en las tardes/noches y fines de semana para
eventos patrocinados por la escuela, PTA, actividades del club booster; todos
los gimnasios estarán disponibles para ser programados para su uso para las
ligas juveniles deportivas durante los meses de invierno.
2) Las escuelas designadas por cuadrante para todos los otros tipos de usos de la comunidad son:
a.Cuadrante Noreste (NE) – Preparatoria Lynnwood, Secundarias
Alderwood, Cedar Valley, Martha Lake
b.Cuadrante Noroeste (NW) – Preparatoria Meadowdale, Secundarias
