Dear Parents,
Our goal this year is to ensure that every student attends
school regularly.
Showing up for school has a huge impact on a student’s
academic success starting in Kindergarten and continuing
through high school. We realize some absences are
unavoidable due to health problems or other circumstances.
But we also know that when students miss too much school--regardless of the reason--- it can cause them to fall behind
academically.
Your child is less likely to succeed if he or she is chronically
absent. Chronically absent means missing more than 10 days
of the school year.
Absences can add up quickly. A child is chronically absent if
he or she misses just two days every month. We don’t want
your child to fall behind in school. Please ensure that your
child attends school every day and arrives on time.
New Dismissal Procedure
Please let us know how we can support you and your child
so that he/she can show up for school on time every day.
Please give us a call if you ever have any questions regarding
your child’s education.

Estimados Padres,
Nuestra meta este año escolar es asegurar que cada estudiante
asista a la escuela regularmente.
Asistir a la escuela regularmente tiene un gran impacto en el
éxito académico del estudiante a partir de kindergarten y
continuando hasta la secundaria. Nos damos cuenta que
algunas ausencias son inevitables debido a problemas de
salud u otras circunstancias. Pero también sabemos que
cuando los estudiantes faltan mucho a la escuela se atrasan
demasiado académicamente.
Su hijo tiene menos probabilidades de éxito académico si él o
ella esta crónicamente ausente. Crónicamente ausente es
cuando los estudiantes faltan más de 10 días del año escolar.
