All auction items were generously donated to Mariano Castro Elementary
PTA’s silent auction. Monies raised at this Silent Auction will be used
to fund programs that directly benefit the children at Castro.
Thank you to those that generously donated and to those who solicited
donations. I want to especially thank the amazing hard-working Silent
Auction team: Chelsea Contreras, Donna MacIsaac, Leslie Micetich, Michelle
Schaal and Trish Gilbert. Without their dedication, time and effort, the
Silent Auction would not be possible.
Thank you for supporting the future of our children, the Castro PTA, Mariano
Castro Elementary School’s staff and its volunteers.

Silent Auction Rules and Information
By bidding in the silent auction, each bidder agrees to these
auction rules:
1. To place a silent auction bid, legibly print your name, email address
and/or telephone number in the starting bid space or on the line
following the highest current bid.
2. Bids sheets are preprinted with incremental amounts unless otherwise
noted. PLEASE READ ALL BID SHEETS CAREFULLY! Castro staff
sponsored events and Castro family sponsored parties are on a first
come, first serve basis. It is the responsibility of the bidder to know the
details of each bid sheet.
3. You do not have to take the next available bid amount. You may skip
ahead on the sheet to find the amount you want to bid. The next bidder
must pick an amount higher than yours to be a successful bidder. All
items have a “Buy It Now” option, bidder may choose to skip bidding and
pay that price.
4. A bid is understood to be a legal agreement to purchase the listed
item(s) at the amount indicated. All bidders must be 18 years of age or
above. In order to bid on alcohol, bidders must be at least 21 years of
age.
5. The Silent Auction will accept the following forms of payment: cash,
check, credit card and/or PayPal. Please note if you elect to use a
credit card and/or checkout via PayPal there will be added
convenience fees. The fees are 2.2% and a .30 transaction fee.
There are no additional fees if paying by cash or check. All items
MUST be claimed and paid for by Friday, October 24, 2014 or item
will be awarded to the next highest bid.
6. In order to protect the integrity of all bidders, please do not scratch out
bids. Only a Silent Auction team member may void bids. Please seek
assistance if you find an invalid bid or make a mistake during bidding.
7. The auction will begin on October 6, 2014 for Online Pre-Bidding items.
The remaining items will not be open to bidding until Friday, October 10,
2014 at 2pm. The auction will close at two different end times, 5pm or
5:30pm, at which time the highest bid on each bid sheet will be declared
the winner. If conflict arises over identifying the last valid bid for an
item(s), auction staff will select the next highest bid as the winner.
8. Please do not remove or relocate auction items. If you wish to look more
closely at an item than placement allows, please seek the assistance of
auction staff or volunteers.
9. Please do not open baskets or packages.
10. All known or apparent contents, restrictions, and details of items have
been indicated on the bid sheets.
11. Gift certificates, gift cards, etc. are not displayed, but will be provided
at the time of payment. When possible, copies of such items or
necessary details will be displayed.
12. Reservations for trips, stays in hotels, use of facilities, ticket
redemption (or other applicable items or actions) must be mutually
arranged by the winning bidder and the donor unless otherwise specified.
Blackout periods, expiration dates and restrictions may apply.
13. Restrictions and expiration dates do apply on several auction items.
Tickets should be thoroughly scrutinized. The utmost care has been
taken to note restrictions as accurately as possible; however, Mariano
Castro Elementary School or the Castro PTA is not responsible for any
restrictions omitted or not otherwise indicated by the donor, or prizes not
claimed within the scope of restrictions or expiration dates.
14. Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the
auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold
harmless from any liability arising indirectly from Mariano Castro
Elementary School, its elected and appointed officials, members and
employees, the Castro PTA, the event organizers, sponsors, and/or
volunteers connected with the auction.
15. The starting bid cannot be lower than the “Minimum Bid” amount
indicated on the bid sheet.
16. You may bid on any items in any silent auction section until the section
is closed. Bidding for items in the silent auction sections will close at the
times posted. A silent auction official will circle the top bidder’s name and
amount.
17. There is no limit to the number of times any particular item can be bid
on by an individual, unless noted on the bid sheet itself.
18. A bid sheet may not be removed by anyone other than official “bid
sheet pullers” at time specified.
Payment and Pick-Up
Payment and pickup is available the day of the auction for Buy It Now
options and/or parties/events. Please see below for alternate dates for
payment and pickup, dates are subject to change. All sales are final. There
will be no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted.

If checking out the night of the Silent Auction, proceed to the payment table.
CASH or CHECK payable to ‘Castro PTA’ will be accepted in addition to credit
cards. Please note that only Buy It Now items will be available for checkout
the day of the Silent Auction.
Once payment has been made, you will receive the winning item or a receipt
for a party or event. Please refer to the certificates and gift cards for
expiration dates and limitations. It is your responsibility to MARK YOUR
CALENDARS for events purchased.

Reglas y Información de la Subasta Silenciosa
Al ofertar en la Subasta Silenciosa, cada Postor se
compromete a cumplir con las siguientes reglas:
1. Para hacer una oferta en la subasta silenciosa escriba su nombre
claramente, dirección de correo electrónico y/o su número de teléfono en
el espacio de la oferta inicial o en la línea siguiente de la oferta actual
más alta.
2. Las hojas de las ofertas son preimpresos con cantidades adicionales a
menos que se indique lo contrario. POR FAVOR LEA TODAS LAS HOJAS
DE LAS OFERTAS CON MUCHO CUIDADO! Algunos artículos tienen un
precio fijo por persona o son para los primeros en llegar. Es
responsabilidad de cada Postor tener el conocimiento de los detalles que
se encuentran en las hojas de ofertas.
3. Usted no tiene que dar el siguiente cantidad de la oferta disponible.
Puede pasar directamente sobre la hoja para encontrar la cantidad que

usted decide usar una tarjeta hay honorarios addicionales de 2.2% y
una cuota de 0.30 por transacción. No hay cargos adicionales si pagas
en efectivo o cheque. Todos los artículos tienen que ser cobrados y
pagados antes de Viernes, 24 de octubre 2014 o el artículo será
entregado al siguiente oferta más alta .
6. Para proteger la integridad de todos los Postores favor de no rayar las
ofertas. Las ofertas sólo podrán ser anuladas por un miembro directivo
de la Subasta Silenciosa. Favor de buscar ayuda si encuentra una oferta
inválida o comete un error durante la licitación.
7. Habrá una pre-subasta para ciertos artículos que empieza el 6 de
octobre. Para el resto de los artículos las ofertas empiezaran el 10 de
octubre de 2014 a las 2:00pm. La Subasta tendrá dos horarios para
término 5:00 y 5:30pm en cual la oferta más alta de cada hoja de
ofertas se declarara ser el ganador. En caso que hubiera un conflicto al
identificar la última oferta válida un miembro del personal de la subasta
elegirá el siguiente ganador con la oferta más alta.
8. Por favor no mueva o cambie los artículos. Si desea ver más de cerca un
artículo debido a que la distancia no se lo permita busque la ayuda del
personal de la subasta o algún voluntario.
9. Por favor no abra las canastas o los paquetes.
10. Todos los detalles del contenido y restricciones de los artículos han
sido indicados en las hojas de las ofertas.
11. Certificados de regalos, tarjetas de regalo, etc., no están en exhibición
pero se les entregaran al momento de emplear su pago. De ser
necesario, copias de los artículos mencionados o los detalles necesarios
les serán mostrados.
12. Reservaciones de viajes, estadías en hoteles, uso de instalaciones,
reclamos de boletos (u otros artículos o acciones correspondientes)
deben ser arregladas de mutuo acuerdo entre el Postor ganador y el
donante. Bloqueo de ciertos periodos, fechas de vencimiento y
restricciones pueden aplicar.
13. Restricciones y fechas de vencimiento aplican en varios de los artículos
de la subasta. Los boletos han sido examinados minuciosamente. Se ha
tomado el mayor de los cuidados y la mayor precisión posible en cuanto
a las restricciones, sin embargo, la escuela primaria Mariano Castro o el
PTA de Castro no se hace responsable de cualquier restricción omitida o
no indicada por parte del donante, o de premios que no sean reclamados
dentro del margen de las restricciones o fechas de vencimiento.
14. Cada persona que haga una oferta asume el riesgo y la

evento, patrocinadores y/o voluntarios relacionados con la subasta.
15. La cantidad de la oferta al comenzar no puede ser menor que la
“cantidad mínima” indicada en la hoja de oferta.
16. Usted puede hacer una oferta en cualquier artículo de la subasta
silenciosa en cualquier sección hasta que la sección se cierre. Ofertar
por cualquier artículo en la sección de la subasta silenciosa cerrara en el
tiempo indicado. Uno de los funcionarios de la Subasta Silenciosa
marcara con un círculo el nombre del mejor Postor junto con la cantidad.
17. No hay límite en cuantas veces un Postor puede hacer una oferta
sobre un artículo en particular a menos que sea mencionado en la hoja
de la oferta.
18. Una hoja de oferta no puede ser removida por nadie que no sea un
oficial “extractor de hojas de oferta” en el tiempo indicado.

Pago y recogida se prefiere el día de la subasta. Por favor vea en la parte de
abajo las opciones de fechas para pagos. Las fechas están sujetas a
cambiar. Todas las ventas son finales. No habrá cambios ni reembolsos a
menos que se indique lo contrario.

Si su transacción la efectuara la misma noche de la subasta por favor vaya a
la mesa de pagos. Se aceptará efectivo, tarjeta de credito o cheque a
nombre de Castro PTA.
Una vez que realice el pago usted recibirá el artículo que ganó o un recibo
para la fiesta o evento. Por favor asegúrese de revisar las fechas de
vencimiento y restricciones en los certificados de regalo o tarjetas de regalo.
Es su responsabilidad ANOTAR EN SU CALENDARIO las fechas de los
eventos que haya obtenido.
