PINTA COMO / PAINT LIKE
El proyecto Pinta como consiste en dos sets de pinturas
creados a partir de la paleta de colores de una obra de
Rembrandt y otra de Vermeer. En vez de ofrecer una paleta
completa, sólo se incluyen colores específicos para que los
usuarios puedan pintar como Vermeer o como Rembrandt.
Cada set incluye 12 pinturas y un pincel, se presenta en una
caja envuelta por una faja de papel reciclado donde aparece información sobre el pintor, la obra a la que se refiere el
set y los colores del interior.
The project Paint like is about two sets of paint created with
the color palette of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Instead of including all the colors, each set has only the ones that these
two artists use most in two of their paintings. The visitors
who want to paint like their favourite painters can do it with
this set or, at least, use the same colours. Each set includes
12 paint tubes and a brush. Outside de box there is information about the painter, the painting and the colors on
the inside.

REDESIGN CONCEPT
The Rijks Museum has a collection of 120.000 pieces
of art. Between them there are several well known
pieces by important painters such as Vincent van Gogh,
Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn or Johannes Vermeer.
Although the museum has other works of art like
sculptures, fashion costumes and furniture, I consider
paintings the most interesting collection.
That’s why my project is about painting. Colour is the
main part of a painting and it is one of the elements
that define the character and the style of an artist. By
using determined colours it is possible to imitate the
look of our favourite painting.
Unfortunately, many of us don’t have the technique
to mix all the colours and get the correct tones we
need. My proposal tries to fix that by giving to those
who are interested in painting like the greatest artists
a set that contains only some selected colours from
the artist’s palette.

SETS OF COLOURS
As a result there are two sets of twelve colours each insipired in two
masterpieces. Twelve colours are enough to create a complex painting;
it is possible to mix them to get new tones.

On the front there is information about the content; paint,quantity and reference
to the Rijks Museum and its web.
On the back side there is the painting the set is referring to, brief information about
the painter and a sample with the colours inside.
