How Much Do You Need?
High Strength
WARNING!
This product contains portland cement and silica sand. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not take internally. Crystalline
silica sand may cause serious lung problems. Avoid breathing dust and wear a respirator in dusty areas. Contact with the
dry powder or wet unhardened concrete, mortar, cement or cement mixtures can cause skin irritation, severe chemical burns
or serious eye damage. The wearing of waterproof gloves, tight fitting safety goggles and protective clothing that prevents
the product from coming in contact with the skin is strongly recommended. If you have to stand in wet product, wear
waterproof boots high enough to keep product from getting inside. If working on hand and knees, wear kneepads. Indirect
contact through clothing can be as serious as direct contact. Promptly, rinse out wet product from clothing.

ACABADO:

MEZCLADO:
• (Fig. 1) Vaciar el contenido en una carretilla o charola para mortero formando

bolsas se pueden mezclar más fácilmente usando una mezcladora mecánica.
• (Fig. 2) Agregar aproximadamente 2.4 L (2.5 cuartos de galón) de agua limpia o
suficiente para lograr una mezcla manejable. Agregas más agua conforme sea
necesario. EVITAR UNA MEZCLA AGUADA.
• Exceso de agua reduce la fuerza y durabilidad y puede causar grietas, polvo y
escamas.
Reparaciones de más de 5.08 cm (2 pulgadas) de profundidad: Las
superficies a reparar deben de estar solidas y limpias. Quitar todo
material suelto y extraño. Humedecer las superficie a reparar y las
superficies de concreto adyacentes.

CURING:
• Curing means maintaining proper moisture and temperature. The
material must be kept continuously moist for several days.
• Covering with plastic is a practical way to help retain moisture. Place
plastic after concrete has set.
• If surface appears dry, remove plastic, moisten and replace plastic.
• Keep from freezing for at least 24 hours.
• New concrete can be opened to foot traffic in 24 hours and vehicular
traffic in 48 hours.

Sakrete 5000 Plus Mezcla de Concreto is una mezcla profesional de cemento

concreto exceda 50 mm (2 pulgadas). Ideal para andenes, caminos de entrada,

FINISHING:
• Allow mix to stiffen until thumb print hard and the surface water has
evaporated. Stiffening time will vary with weather conditions.
• (Fig. 4) Use a steel trowel and/or a broom to achieve the desired finish.
• (Fig. 5) Finish with an edging tool.
PLACEMENT:
• Place and consolidate the mix.
• (Fig 3) Work into voids and level with a straight edge.
• Use a float to remove surface imperfections.
MIXING:
• (Fig. 1) Empty contents into a wheelbarrow or mortar pan forming a
crater in the center for the addition of water. Jobs requiring multiple
bags can more easily be mixed using a mechanical mixer.
• (Fig. 2) Add approximately 2.5 quarts of clean water or enough to
achieve a workable mix. Add additional water as needed but AVOID A
SOUPY MIX.
• Excess water reduces strength and durability and can cause cracking,
dusting or scaling.
Repairs over 2” in depth: Surfaces to be repaired must be sound
and clean. Remove all loose and foreign matter. Dampen the
surface to be repaired and any adjoining concrete surfaces.

PREPARATION: For a successful project, proper preparation is required. Air,
mix and substrate temperatures should be a minimum of 40ºF.
