Business partnership between ITURRI and Renault Trucks
for the development and sale of military vehicles
The ITURRI Group and the French company Renault Trucks
have signed a cooperative agreement under which ITURRI
will produce, distribute, and maintain military vehicles for
Renault Trucks Defence (RTD) in Spain and other geographic
areas.
Army vehicle fleet replenishment
The business group will opt for the award of several programs
from the Ministry of Defence to replace the Armed Forces
wheeled vehicle fleet.

El Grupo ITURRI y la empresa francesa Renault Trucks han firmado un
acuerdo de colaboración para la producción, distribución comercial
y mantenimiento por parte de ITURRI de los vehículos militares de
Renault Trucks Defense (RTD) en España y otras áreas geográficas.
Three years ago, the ITURRI Group
launched the Military Land Systems
business line, which has lead to its
position as the pioneering company in
this sector in Spain.
This renovation is planned for next year, with one of its most
important programs being the replacement of some 10,000
tactical trucks (4x4s, 6x6s and 8x8s) and more than 1,800
logistics vehicles and light-weight armoured 4x4. In addition,
they plan to purchase more than 1,000 8x8 vehicles to replace
the current BMRs.
Three years ago, the ITURRI Group launched the Military Land
Systems business line, which has lead to its position as the
pioneering company in this sector in Spain. This commitment
is not only framed by the recent contract with RTD, but also
by the launching of R & D projects that seek to develop
technology in the medium and long term, such as 8x8 hybrid
vehicles or unmanned platforms, along with modernisation
of the Thai Army’s “Scorpion” fleet.

El grupo empresarial optará por la adjudicación de varios programas
del Ministerio de Defensa para sustituir el parque de vehículos de
ruedas de las Fuerzas Armadas.
Esta renovación se prevé para el próximo año y entre los programas
destacan la sustitución de unos 10.000 camiones tácticos (4x4, 6x6 y
8x8) y de más de 1.800 vehículos logísticos y blindados 4x4 ligeros.
A ésto habría que sumar la adquisición prevista de más de 1.000
vehículos 8x8 para relevar a los actuales BMR.
El Grupo ITURRI inició hace tres años la línea de negocio de Sistemas
Militares Terrestres, lo que la ha situado como empresa pionera de
este sector en nuestro país. En esta apuesta se enmarcan, además del
reciente contrato firmado con RTD, el lanzamiento de proyectos de
I+D para desarrollar tecnología a medio y largo plazo, como vehículos
8x8 híbridos o plataformas no tripuladas, y la modernización de la
flota “Scorpion” del ejército tailandés.

Eurosoft (ITURRI Group) and MIDERA POLSKA (Vandeputte
Group) have joined forces to serve local distributors in
Poland, the Baltic States, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
In order to do this, they have formed a new company called
“P4S - Partner for Safety”.
Zabrze, the headquarters of the new
ITURRI Group company in Poland, is a
city with long history of coal mining.
It is situated 80 kilometres from the EUROSOFT facilities in
Bielsko-Biala, and will handle the company’s main Polish
wholesale customers, with a broader portfolio of products
tailored to their needs and expectations, along with better
distribution logistics and a support service which is more
focused on these clients’ activities.
The current team consists of six people: two in customer
service and four regional sales managers. Purchasing, supply,
finance, logistics and warehousing activities, among others,
will be led by the EUROSOFT team.

How to extinguish the fire if the roof of a tank collapses
INDUSTRY
BP Oil España refinery in Castellón has one of the best
fire prevention operations in the world
Oil company BP OIL ESPAÑA, S.A. has awarded the ITURRI
Group a major project to improve fire safety at its refinery in
Castellón – a project worth 4.5 million euro.
This project, called UEEX (Unidad Especial de Extinción, or
Special Extinguishing Unit), seeks to define, design and
deliver portable fire-fighting equipment, along with the
logistics needed to attack and extinguish fires that may occur
in even the most compromised portions of the refinery, and
in the worst scenarios imaginable.

La Compañía petrolera BP OIL ESPAÑA, S.A. ha adjudicado al Grupo
ITURRI un importantísimo proyecto para la mejora de la seguridad
contra incendios, por un importe de 4,5 millones de euros, en su
refinería de Castellón.
If an accident were to occur, the biggest fire scenarios studied
would be located in one of the oil storage tanks. These tanks
have a floating roof of 92 metres in diameter and have a
capacity of 150,000 cubic metres. The worst possible scenario
would be if the roof sank down into the tank and fire covered
the entire surface.
In such cases, the fixed fire-fighting systems that the tanks
have available are not sufficient. They are designed to
extinguish fires in the rim-space, or the space between the
inner wall of the tank and the floating roof. They are not
designed to extinguish a fire covering the entire surface of
the tank, if the roof were to collapse.
The only way to extinguish such a fire would be to bring in
support from outside, at an appropriately safe distance, using
a stream of foam mixture which is able to create a sufficient
layer of stable foam on the surface of the burning product.
This would extinguish the fire through suffocation.
The foam mixture required would be supplied by several
monitor cannons, each one capable of delivering a flow of
38,000 litres per minute. This must be done at a distance of
more than 100 metres from the outer wall of the tank.

Este proyecto se denomina UEEX (Unidad Especial de Extinción) y
consiste en definir, diseñar y suministrar equipos móviles de extinción
de incendios. Todo ello con la logística necesaria para atacar y
extinguir los fuegos que pudieran llegar a producirse hasta en los
lugares más comprometidos de la refinería y en los peores escenarios
imaginables.
Cómo extinguir el fuego si se hunde el techo de un tanque
Los mayores escenarios de fuego estudiados se localizarían, si llegara
a ocurrir un siniestro, en alguno de los tanques de almacenamiento de
hidrocarburos. Tanques que tienen un techo flotante de 92 metros de
diámetro y 150.000 metros cúbicos de capacidad. Lo peor que podría
llegar a pasar es que se hundiera el techo y el fuego afectara a la
superficie completa.
En estos casos, los sistemas fijos de extinción de incendios de los que
disponen los tanques no son suficientes. Se encuentran diseñados para
extinguir fuegos en los rim-space ó espacio entre la pared interior del
tanque y el techo flotante, pero no para apagar un fuego de toda la
superficie del tanque si llegara a hundirse el techo.
La única forma de poder extinguir el fuego sería aportando desde
el exterior, y a una distancia importante de seguridad, un caudal de
mezcla espumante tal que consiguiera crear una capa de espuma
suficiente y estable sobre la superficie plana del producto inflamado.
De este modo, la extinción del fuego se produciría por sofocación.

which manufactures mobile water pumping and distribution
solutions, has an endless list of references and experience
throughout the world, which attest to its abilities.

transportables fabricados en Lemmer (Holanda) por HYTRANS,
convirtiéndose así en el primer proyecto desarrollado en España con este
importantísimo especialista europeo reconocido internacionalmente.
Una empresa que fabrica soluciones móviles de bombeo y distribución
de agua, y que acredita su competencia con una lista interminable de
referencias y experiencias por todo el mundo.

The hoses responsible for conducting the water from the
beach to the mobile monitors which spray the foam mixture
are 12” in diameter. They are the biggest of their kind used
in such applications to date.

The foam systems used are included in the same kit/pumpcontainer, which is controlled using a highly technologically
advanced electronic system.
The Thunderstorm foam is dispensed at one percent, and
produced by Williams Fire & Hazard Control Inc. (USA). The
high-flow monitors responsible for launching the foam
mixture inside the tanks are also manufactured by Williams
Fire & Hazard Control Inc. – the Battler and Ambassador
models.

mismos kit-contenedor de bomba y con control mediante un sistema
electrónico de desarrollo tecnológico muy avanzado.

Fire-fighting vehicle for one of Poland’s Euro 2012
airports
Modlin Airport
Modlin Airport was originally built for military use and was
used by the air forces of both Poland and the Soviet Union
between 1945 and 2000. Located 35 kilometres from Warsaw,
in the town of Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki, the airport is currently
undergoing refurbishment.

These projects are part of the investment plan for hosting the
2012 UEFA European Football Championship, which will take
place over the summer of next year in Poland and Ukraine.

Once work is completed, Modlin Airport will be able to handle
roughly one million eight hundred thousand passengers per
year, that is, 24,000 flights annually.
ITURRI Group’s participation in
this project consists of providing
a fire-fighting vehicle intended
to cover Category 6 airports;
this vehicle must meet the ICAO
standard requiring a minimum
capacity of 225 kilos of powder
and 7,500 litres of water.
The vehicle in question has a
MAN TGS 33-440 chassis and will
carry 6,000 litres of water, 1,000
litres of foam concentrate and
250 kilos of powder. The 6,000
litre, 10 bar pump will be driven
by a PTO (power takeoff) and not
by an auxiliary motor.
The delivery time frame is 6
months, and it comes with a
7-year warranty.

la Eurocopa 2012
El aeropuerto de Modlin, construido originalmente para uso militar
y que fue utilizado tanto por las fuerzas aéreas de Polonia como
por la Unión Soviética entre los años 1945 y 2000, está situado a 35
kilómetros de Varsovia, en la ciudad de Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki, y se
encuentra en estos momentos en fase de remodelación.

Una vez finalizadas las obras el
aeropuerto de Modlin podrá atender
el tráfico de un millón ochocientos mil
pasajeros al año aproximadamente:
24.000 operaciones anuales.
La participación del Grupo ITURRI en
este proyecto consiste en suministrar un
vehículo contra incendios previsto para
cubrir la categoría 6 de aeropuertos que
marca la norma OACI que exige una
capacidad mínima de 225 kilos de polvo
y 7.500 litros de agua.
Se trata de un vehículo con chasis MAN
TGS 33-440 que llevará 6.000 litros de
agua, 1.000 litros de espumógeno y 250
kilos de polvo. La bomba de 6.000 litros
a 10 bares será entrenada por una PTO
(toma de fuerza) y no por un motor
auxiliar.
El plazo de entrega será de 6 meses y la
garantía de 7 años.

The most appropriate clothing for open pit mining
Cobre las Cruces (CLC)
CLC is a new mining complex producing
copper via hydrometallurgy, and one of
the most important industrial projects in
Andalucía.
It consists of an open pit mine and a
hydrometallurgical plant joined to the mine,
on which construction was completed in
2008. The site will allow production of more
than one million tonnes of copper over a
fifteen-year period.
ITURRI Group has designed a comprehensive
clothing management system for the mine’s
direct employees. This system starts with
gathering data on users’ needs expectations
in the areas of safety, ergonomics, comfort,
breathability, and corporate image.
The service includes design, maintenance
(cleaning
and
repair),
management,
distribution, and PPE traceability of the
clothing, which meets the standards for
which they were designed.
The contract sees more than 4,000 garments
put into circulation. Each piece of equipment
has
anti-static
and
anti-entrapment
properties, along with high visibility. All
garments comply with current European
regulations.

para trabajar en minería a
cielo abierto
Cobre las Cruces (CLC)
CLC es un nuevo complejo minero de producción de cobre
por vía hidrometalúrgica y uno de los proyectos industriales
más significativos de Andalucía.
Dispone de una mina a cielo abierto y una planta
hidrometalúrgica anexa a la mina cuya construcción finalizó
en el año 2008. El yacimiento permitirá una producción de
más de un millón de toneladas de cobre durante un periodo
de quince años.
Para sus empleados directos, el Grupo ITURRI ha diseñado
un sistema de gestión integral del vestuario. Este sistema
parte de la recogida de necesidades y expectativas de los
usuarios en los terrenos de seguridad, ergonomía, confort,
transpirabilidad o imagen corporativa.
El servicio incluye el diseño, mantenimiento (lavado y
reparación), gestión, distribución, y trazabilidad
del
vestuario como EPI que cumplan la normativa para la que se
diseñaron.
El contrato pone en circulación más de 4.000 prendas. Un
equipamiento que tiene propiedades antiestáticas, de

How to test the effectiveness of fire protection facilities
Firescon
The system, which complies with latest and most demanding
regulations, replaces the Real Discharge Test that was requested
to achieve a “PASS” and to certify a Fire Protection Facility (FPF)
that, for environmental and economic reasons, has not yet been
conducted.

The test is performed using a fan which is fixed in the doorway
of the enclosed area. The fan generates pressure similar to that
exerted by the gaseous extinguishing agent in a real discharge.
The system has software that relates the pressure generated with
the flow provided by the fan, and, using this, it determines the
effective leak area (ELA) of the enclosed space.
Firescom
The test is performed using a fan which is

The software they developed is based on mathematical models
accepted by standards for Fire Protection (Protección Contra

discharge, and then calculates the time that the fire extinguishing
mixture would remain in the enclosed area. This, along with
concentration, determines the effectiveness of the FPF designed.
As an integral part of the service contracted, a certificate is issued-either favourable (PASS) or unfavourable (FAIL).

PROTEC-FIRE ha llegado a un acuerdo de colaboración con la
firma FIRESCON para la distribución nacional de su sistema para
comprobar la eficacia de las instalaciones de protección contra
incendios. Se lleva a cabo en recintos protegidos por inundación
total de agentes gaseosos y su denominación comercial es “Door
Fan Test” ó “Prueba del Ventilador en la Puerta”.
El sistema, que cumple con las normativas más actuales y exigentes,
sustituye a la Prueba de Descarga Real que se solicitaba para dar
“PASO” y certificar una Instalación de Protección Contra Incendios
(IPCI) que por motivos medioambientales y económicos, ya no se
lleva a cabo.
La prueba se realiza mediante un ventilador que se fija en la puerta
del recinto y genera una presión similar a la que ejercería el agente
extintor gaseoso en caso de una descarga real. El sistema dispone
de un software que relaciona la presión generada con el caudal que
está proporcionando el ventilador, y mediante el que se determina
el Área Total de Fugas (ELA) que hay en el recinto.

Cepsa modernises its workers’ safety apparel
Cepsa has awarded the ITURRI Group with a contract for
comprehensive safety apparel management. Under this contract
the Group will provide a service tailored to the customer’s
needs, covering the design, production and management of
technical clothing (including apparel management, distribution,
laundering, repair, collection and replacement).

This 5-year contract covers the safety apparel needs of workers
at CEPSA’s refineries in Algeciras, Huelva and Tenerife. It also
includes CEPSA’s petrochemical plants in Guadarranque and
Puente Mayorga.

ITURRI Group has been awarded an exclusive contract to supply all
corporate clothing and PPE for Leroy Merlin in Spain.
Following the plant’s excellent performance in recent years, a
council made up of workers and company executives decided
to reward its 1,500 employees with a completely new array
of work apparel.
Leroy Merlin has more than 45 work sites, and a workforce of over
8,000 employees throughout Spain.
Each employee will receive a total of ten items, including
jackets, trousers, shirts, t-shirts and polo shirts. ITURRI Group
will supply some fifteen thousand items in total.
These figures make the Leroy Merlin firm the second-largest company
in Europe in its sector, and the fourth-largest in the world.

The EDP GROUP, Portuguese leader in energy production and one of the largest energy
producers in the Iberian Peninsula, has awarded the ITURRI Group with a three-year
contract to supply work apparel that provides protection again fire, electrical arc and
static.
The ITURRI Group has been part of this project from the beginning, and by doing so,
it has helped EDP to identify risks and define the technical characteristics to be met
by the equipment.
The garments chosen meet all protection standards currently in force for this type of
clothing; this results in a major increase in quality in terms of the level of protection
offered again on-the-job accidents.

New buoy makes it easier to manoeuvre large ships in
the port of Honduras, in Tenerife
Chilean fire-fighters get modern
CEPSA
CEPSA’s new buoy, which it acquired for its berthing area at
the Port of Honduras in Tenerife, has been fully operational
since last December.
This new buoy is equipped with a multi-purpose mooring
system. It measures in at over 5 metres in diameter and 2.2
in height. The Catamaran-type device allows rope or cable
operations to be carried out with ships up to 250,000 tonnes
and 330 meters long, without the need to perform ancillary
manoeuvres.

This is a major improvement over the equipment installed
previously in the port of Tenerife. Not only will it significantly
reduce the time spent in these manoeuvres, but it will also

its rapid entry into service. This new project is one more sign of
the ITURRI Group’s commitment to the development of modern
solutions in the field of port and industrial maintenance.

Cuenta esta nueva boya con un sistema polivalente de amarre. Sus
dimensiones son superiores a los 5 metros de diámetro y 2,2 de altura.
Es tipo Catamarán, lo que permite desarrollar operaciones mediante
cuerda o alambre de barcos de hasta 250.000 toneladas y 330 metros
de eslora sin necesidad de efectuar maniobras auxiliares.

Se trata de un importante avance respecto a los equipos que hasta ahora

otro disminuirá los riesgos que conlleva.
La configuración de la boya se ha realizado mediante 16 módulos
independientes que facilitan en gran medida las labores de
mantenimiento y garantizan su rápida puesta en servicio. Este nuevo
proyecto consolida la apuesta del Grupo ITURRI por el desarrollo de
soluciones más modernas en el ámbito portuario y mantenimiento
industrial.

The ITURRI Group will supply 15 fire-fighting vehicles
under a contract awarded in December 2010.
These vehicles are primarily for urban, forestry and
rescue purposes. They all share one fundamental
feature: a FREIGHTLINER brand chassis, in classic
American style, and a Mercedes-Benz engine, which
maintains European functionality and provides
innovative characteristics and distinguishing features
to the Chilean market.
Teamwork and visits by ITURRI and PROTEC-FIRE staff,
not to mention the commitment and enthusiasm shown to
satisfying customer needs, have all played a role in the choice
of several Chilean fire brigades, to focus their attention on this
type of vehicle after more than 30 years.
Chilean fire brigades which have turned to the ITURRI Group
include: Buin, Melipilla, Maipú, San Pedro de Melipilla, San
Bernardo, Talagante, Villa Alhue, Til-Til, Peñaflor and Quinta
Normal, all part of the greater metropolitan area of the capital
city of Santiago. Fire-fighters have also placed their trust in the
Group’s companies in other regions of Chile, such as Valparaiso,
Copiapó and Dalcahue.

The issues addressed at the 2011 AFOA conference focused
primarily on incident management. Highlights of the meeting
included interesting presentations on emergency management,
including one on a specific case which took place at Dubai
airport, and another which happened in Argentina.

There was also discussion on how Australian experts work at
managing forest fires, and how they handled the tragedy of a
helicopter that crashed into the North Sea.
There were also other interesting talks touching on the

extinguishing foam can reduce environmental damage.

The AFOA (Airport Fire Officers Association) is a technical
association devoted to promoting and maintaining the status
and professional image of the fire services at airports in
the UK, Ireland and the rest of the world. The organisation
ensures constant communication among them, through the
continuous transmission of data and knowledge. This allows
them to exchange information on all relevant technical and
operational issues.
In 2011, the AFOA conference was held in Dublin on 19th
and 20th January. ITURRI Group was the main sponsor, and
took the opportunity to address the audience on the topic of
“Global solutions for emergencies”.
This year, the number of delegates broke the attendance
record for any previous AFOA conference. The one hundred
and twenty fire-fighters present came from countries such
as the UK, Ireland, and The Netherlands. Even Australia and
Middle Eastern countries were represented.
Ireland and the United Kingdom also sent representatives
from their civil aviation authorities.

importancia del factor humano en los incidentes. Y una cosa más:
cómo la utilización de espuma extintora mitiga los daños en el medio
ambiente.
Durante los dos días que duró la Conferencia de AFOA en Dublín, el

Y también, como hemos dicho más arriba, de las “soluciones globales
para emergencias” en aeropuertos.
Asistieron bomberos de Reino Unido,
Irlanda, Países Bajos… y hasta de Australia
y de países de Oriente Medio.
El comité de la AFOA hizo los siguientes comentarios:
«La conferencia de la AFOA para el año 2011 se celebró en Dublín y
una vez más demostró ser todo un éxito. El principal patrocinador del
evento fue el fabricante español de EPI y vehículos contra incendios
ITURRI.
Es un privilegio tener relaciones con una empresa de tan alto nivel en
un mercado tan específico, a la par que global.
También cabe mencionar que, sin ayuda en este sentido, no podríamos
ofrecer a nuestros socios una tarifa de delegado con una relación
calidad-precio tan excepcional. Esto permite a la asociación traer a
ponentes de todo el mundo para realizar presentaciones sobre asuntos
de actualidad y casos prácticos, y como tal no cabe duda de que la
falta de apoyo en este sentido significaría con casi total seguridad que
no se podrían celebrar foros como los nuestros.

A new harness for the mobile phone industry
This past January, ITURRI Germany held the first workshop
on occupational safety at height, for the telecommunications
sector.
Users in this sector of the German market, such as Deutsche
Telekom, Vodafone, Alcatel Lucent Network Services
(E-Plus) and Nokia Siemens Network Services, all top-ranked
companies, participated in the workshop on safety in the
workplace.

No faltó en este encuentro Capital Safety, uno de los socios europeos con los
que el Grupo ITURRI cuenta en este ámbito de la seguridad laboral en altura.
Durante el primer día se analizaron las
necesidades más acuciantes del sector y
se dieron a conocer las nuevas soluciones e innovaciones. En la parte práctica
del taller se llevó a cabo una demostración de diversas soluciones y productos.
Además se produjo un intercambio muy
interesante de cara a desarrollar nuevas soluciones para el sector.
La primera consecuencia es que ITURRI desarrollará un nuevo arnés para
el sector de la telefonía móvil en el que por un lado incorporará nuevos
materiales y por otro atenderá las necesidades actuales en relación con
los requisitos de este mercado.

From 13 to 15 April will be held in Vitoreia-Gasteiz (Spain), the
10th Congress of Emergency Services organized by the Technical
Association of Professional Firefighters. In the conference
program, Álvaro Sánchez (ITURRI Group) will participate on
day 14, in the presentation about New Regulations Vehicle
Manufacturer.

Congreso de los Servicios de Emergencia organizado por la Asociación
Profesional de Técnicos de Bomberos (APTB). En el programa de

British Army troops ski wearing ITURRI polar fleece liners
This past January, the British Army’s Alpine Ski Championship
was held in Serre Chevalier (France). The event, also known
as the Exercise Spartan Hike, drew 400 participants, including
both regimental teams and individuals. Everyone gave an allout effort in this challenging competition.
ITURRI showed its support for the race directors by
contributing top-quality polar fleece liners. These garments
have been designed to provide the best possible protection,
even in the harshest of weather conditions.
What’s more, the organising committee entrusted a member of
the ITURRI Group, John Stoddart, with judging the competition.

El pasado mes de enero se celebró en Serre Chevalier (Francia), el
campeonato de esquí alpino del Ejército Británico, también conocido
como Exercise Spartan Hike. Los 400 participantes tanto por equipos del
regimiento como individualmente, se esforzaron al máximo por ser los
mejores en esta desafiante competición.
ITURRI mostró su apoyo a los responsables de la carrera aportándoles
sus forros polares de alta calidad. Estas prendas han sido diseñadas para
proporcionar la mayor protección posible incluso en las condiciones
meteorológicas más adversas.
Además, el comité organizador confió en un miembro del Grupo ITURRI,
John Stoddart, el arbitraje de la competición.

For José Luis Ortiz
I first met José Luis Ortiz when I took charge of PROTEC-FIRE
Utrera. There he was, in front of an empty space in a vehicle, with his
smile and his round glasses, creating something so complex out of
virtually nothing. A true master!
This was by no means his only virtue; he took on a great number of
roles at Utrera. As head of the Engineers team, he also took part in
work groups on hydraulic circuits, was a member of both the Works
Council and the Health and Safety Committee, and was responsible for
testing vehicles, to name but a few of his duties. Through the training
of so many people, he has left a real legacy.
I spent a week with him in Algeria, for the handover of the NAFTEC
refinery vehicles. He was training the personnel and explaining the
vehicle functions, while I was translating, and learning from him at the
same time. We shared many good times, and meals.
He was a first class colleague, who was always willing to help, to support and to take part, and it is for this reason that his passing has been
so painful. We will truly miss him at the Utrera factory.

Second ITURRI Paddle
Tennis Tournament
More than fifty players participated in the Second Paddle
Tennis Tournament, organised by the ITURRI Group.
In this year’s event, the matches lasted twenty minutes.
When it was time to hand out the trophies, it was the smallest fans who became the stars of the show, as they were
responsible for presenting the prizes to the victors.

pádel de ITURRI
Más de cincuenta jugadores participaron en el II Torneo de Pádel
organizado por el Grupo ITURRI.
En esta edición, los partidos han tenido una duración de veinte minutos.
A la hora de la entrega de trofeos, los más pequeños se convirtieron en protagonistas. Ellos fueron los encargados de entregar los
premios a los vencedores.
A José Luis Ortiz
Cuando entré como responsable en PROTEC-FIRE Utrera, me encontré con
José Luis Ortiz, con su sonrisa, sus gafas redondas, delante del hueco vacío de
un vehículo y creando “de la nada” algo tan complicado. ¡Un maestro!
Pero no era su única virtud, desarrolló muchas funciones en Utrera. Jefe de equipo
de los mecánicos, participó en grupos de trabajo sobre los circuitos hidráulicos,
miembro del Comité de Empresa y del Comité de Seguridad e Higiene, probador
de vehículos, etc.… Ha dejado una herencia muy importante al haber formado a
tantas personas.
Estuve con él una semana en Argelia para la entrega de los vehículos de refinería
de NAFTEC, él dando formación y explicando el funcionamiento del vehículo y
yo traduciendo y aprendiendo al mismo tiempo. Hemos compartido numerosas
comidas y ratos agradables.
Era el compañero de trabajo por antonomasia, siempre dispuesto a ayudar, a
acompañar, a participar y por esta razón ha sido tan dolorosa su partida. Dejará
un hueco importante en la fábrica de Utrera.

Visit by the Three Kings and Santa Claus
After much anticipation by both children and adults alike,
the big day finally arrived: the Three Kings’ visit to ITURRI’s
facilities in Seville.
Along with the presence of Their Majesties the Three Kings,
other essential ingredients for this great afternoon of funfilled festivities included a snack of churros with chocolate,
and some very special sing-along games.

Y por fin llegó el día más esperado por niños y mayores, la visita de
los Reyes Magos a las instalaciones de ITURRI en Sevilla.
Los ingredientes esenciales para disfrutar de una gran tarde de

Sus Majestades, los churros con chocolate que se prepararon para
