Tablao Cordobes has brought together for the first time
on the same stage three of the most emblematic
flamenco artists on the stage today
A union hardly to be repeated and of course is impossible in any other tablao other than Cordobés.

ember of the aristocratic flamenco dynasty
Los Farruco, grandson of Farruco, and brother
of Farruquito and of El Carpeta, is a compendium of
elegance, art, and ancient wisdom, as is the case
with all members of this extraordinary family. Accompanying his grandfather and his brother, as a child he
stepped in every theater in the world. In February
2006, he created his show Farruco, then the show
“The Natural”, in which he
wrote the choreography and
music. In the 2008/2009
show “The Farruco” he
traveled halfway around the
world garnering extraordinary
reviews in the press such as
“prestigious” in the New York
Times. He performed in theaters and landmarks such as
the City Center in New York,
or London Sadler’s Wells. He
is such a versatile performer
that he has successfully
toured with artists such as
Beyonce, Marc Anthony and
Paulina Rubio. He has also
been a professor at the
Academy of FAME TV channel Cuatro, accompanied
our legendary Paco de Lucia in his last world tour,
and in 2010 obtained the prize for best dancer of the
Year... his future is unstoppable.

iembro de la aristocrática dinastía flamenca de Los
Farruco, nieto de su abuelo Farruco, y hermano de
Farruquito y de El Carpeta, es un compendio de elegancia,
técnica y sabiduría ancestral, como todos los miembros de
esta familia prodigiosa. De la mano de su abuelo y de su
hermano pisó desde niño todos los teatros del mundo. En
febrero de 2006 crea su espectáculo Farruco, posteriormente el espectáculo “al Natural”, en el que es ya autor de la
coreografía y música, y en el 2008/2009 el espectáculo “Los
Farruco” con el que recorre medio mundo cosechando críticas extraordinarias en prensa tan prestigiosa como el New
York Times, y visitando teatros tan emblemáticos como el
City Center de Nueva York, o el Sadler’s Wells de Londres.
Polifacético, ha participado en giras con artistas como
Beyoncé, Paulina Rubio o Marc Anthony; ha sido profesor en
la Academia de FAMA del canal de televisión Cuatro, acompañó a nuestro mítico Paco de Lucía en su última gira mundial, y en el año 2010 obtiene el premio al mejor Bailaor del
Año… su futuro es imparable.

artist for Pepe Habichuela at the Salzburg Festival. That same year he participated as a guest artist in the show ‘Raíces’ (Roots) by Antonio Canales
and Recorded the programs ‘Algo más que
Flamenco’ (More than flamenco) and ‘Tirititrán’ for
La2 of TVE. He also performs as a guest artist in
the show ‘Al Son Cinco’ (The Five) with Lola Greco,
Rafael Amargo, Maria Vivo, and José Serrano.
He also stars in the show ‘Flamenco Al Andalus’ in
Buenos Aires and Frankfurt.
In 2000, he won the prize for Best Dancer in the
Choreography Competition of the Albéniz Theatre
in Madrid, and he received a grant from the Autor
Foundation from the Alicia Alonso Department of
Classical Ballet, with whom he danced as a guest
artist in the Young Ballet Community of Madrid.

his dancer has won some of the most prestigious
dance competitions, such as the International
Competition of Minas in 2008 “The Desplante”, the
National Contest of Córdoba in 2007 “Soleá”, and was
named best dancer in the Spanish Dance and Flamenco Contest in Madrid on two ocasions. He has performed as a guest or as a soloist in the companies
of Manuela Carrasco, The Güito, Tomatito, Enrique
Morente, Gerardo Núñez,
Enrique de Melchor, among
others. He has also written
several shows including
“Camino Flamenco” (The Flamenco Path), “Grito” (Scream)
and “En Candela” (On Fire).
Currently he is participating as
a guest artist with Tomatito,
Niño Josele and Montse Cortés
and collaborates as a guest
artist in the show by Gerardo
Nuñez called “Made in Jerez”,
Jerez Festival 2012.

ste bailaor ha ganado los concursos más pretigiosos de
baile como el Concurso Internacional de las Minas 2008
“El Desplante”, el Concurso Nacional de Córdoba 2007,
Soleá, y fue nombrado mejor bailarín en el Certamen de
Danza Española y Flamenco de Madrid en dos ocasiones.
Ha formado parte como artista invitado o como solista en las
compañías de Manuela Carrasco, El Güito, Tomatito, Enrique
Morente, Gerardo Nuñez, Enrique de Melchor, entre otros.
También es autor de distintos espectáculos entre ellos
“Camino Flamenco”, “Grito” y “En Candela”.
En la actualidad participa como artista invitado con Tomatito,
Niño Josele y Montse Cortés y colabora como artista invitado
en el espectáculo de Gerardo Nuñez “Made in Jerez”, Festival
de Jerez 2012.
n 1998 obtiene el Premio Copa Pavón como artista
invitado de Pepe Habichuela en el Festival de Salzburgo. Ese mismo año participa como artista invitado en
el espectáculo ‘Raíces’ de Antonio Canales y graba los
programas ‘Algo más que flamenco’ y ‘Tirititrán’ para La2
de TVE. Asimismo, actúa como artista invitado en el

was the first dancer and choreographer for several different shows. In
2008 he was awarded the “Max”, for
best male performer in dance, and
presented his shows, “La hora del
Duende” (The Magic Hour), “Junquerías”, “Encuentros” (Encounters);
with Pedro Sierra. He is the choreographer and lead dancer for the show
“Cadiz” for the Agencia Andaluza
para el Desarrollo del Flamenco. He
has also been a guest artist in various
shows and companies. El Junco
presented his latest show “Mirando al
Pasado” (Looking Back) in Seville; a
tribute to the Seville school which has
presented such talented artists such
as the dancer Susana Casa, and the
teacher Loli Flores. He is currently
preparing a show with the dancer
Juan Ogalla entitled “Bailaores”
(Dancers).

Argentina and Chile in 2012. She then
danced with Antonio Fernández
Montoya “El Farru” in Bogotá and
Istanbul. Currently she is working
on Farruquito’s latest show “Baile
Flamenco” and has danced in the
Diego del Morao concerts.

espués de su paso por Sevilla, con el
Maestro Manolo Marín, es llamado por la
gran bailaora Cristina Hoyos para formar parte
de su compañía durante 12 años, los cuales
es primer bailaor y coreógrafo de distintos espectáculos. En el 2008 fue galardonado con el
Premio Max, al mejor intérprete masculino de
danza, y presenta sus espectáculos, “La hora
del Duende”, “Junquerías”, “Encuentros” (junto a Pedro Sierra). Es coreógrafo y primer bailarín del espectáculo “Cádiz” de la Agencia
Andaluza para el Desarrollo del Flamenco.
Tras ir de artista invitado en diferentes espectáculos y compañías, El Junco presenta su
último espectáculo “Mirando al Pasado” en
Sevilla, un homenaje a la escuela sevillana,
donde cuenta con la presencia de las bailaoras Susana Casas y la maestra Loli Flores.
Actualmente se encuentra preparando un
espectáculo junto al bailaor también gaditano
Juan Ogalla titulado “Bailaores”.

Farruquito “Baile Flamenco” con el que han estado de gira por Argentina y Chile en 2012.
Seguidamente bailó con Antonio Fernández
Montoya “El Farru” en Bogotá y en Estambul.
Actualmente trabaja en el último espectáculo
de Farruquito “Baile Flamenco” y como bailaora en los conciertos de Diego del Morao.
On October 17, Mr. Faustino Díaz Fortuny, ADG and Cultural
Industries Promotion Foundation and Patronage of the Ministry of
Culture, received the Flamenco Academy of Arts and Sciences promoted by The Foundation of Tablao Cordobés. Mr. Díaz Fortuny has
endorsed and supported the projects of the Academy, including the
celebration of the centenary of the birth of Carmen Amaya in 2013.
El día 17 de octubre el Sr. Faustino Díaz Fortuny, Subdirector General de Promo-
ción de Industrias Culturales y Fundaciones y Mecenazgo del Ministerio de Cultura, recibió
a la Academia de las Artes y Ciencias del Flamenco promovida por la Fundación Tablao
Cordobés. El Sr. Díaz Fortuny avaló y respaldó los proyectos de la Academia, entre ellos la
celebración de los Actos del Centenario del Nacimiento de Carmen Amaya 2013.

T
he Cycles of
‘The Aristocracy
of
Flamenco’
faithfully reflect the commitment of Tablao Cordobés with the ongoing
search for excellence,
excellence understood
from different values,​​
without which the magical charisma that contributes to the inspiration, is impossible. First,
the space is small, no more than 170 people.
Second, the natural sound that respects the
audio levels of the footwork, guitar and voice
which takes into account the theory that the
sound is to music what the soul is to the spirit;

For 42 years, Tablao Cordobés has united
a balanced mix of historical figures and the
development of artistic promises with the
consistent discovery of its’ youngest artists.
One of the features of our shows is the principal of joining into one several talents that stimulate inspiration through diversity. Another
characteristic is the formation of a framework
that brings together the theatrical aesthetic
and scenic discipline that allows for a deeper
language of flamenco to be performed; and to
top it; the selection of the best voices and best
guitars in a show in which everyone ends up
being soloists.
In this edition, which will end later this year; but
in Tablao Cordobés never ends, we join
together the elite in shows that will become
part of history.

“La Aristocracia del Flamenco (III)”
L
os ciclos de ‘La Aristocracia del Flamenco’ reflejan
fielmente el compromiso
de Tablao Cordobés con la búsqueda permanente de la excelencia, excelencia entendida desde
distintos valores sin los cuales la
magia del duende que aporta la
inspiración, es imposible. Primero el espacio, reducido, no más
de 170 personas. Segundo, el sonido natural que respeta los planos auditivos de los zapateados,
de la guitarra y de la voz, y que
tiene en cuenta la teoría de que el
sonido es a la música, lo que el
alma al espíritu. Un buen sonido
flamenco no admite artificios ni
amplificación. Tercero, la disposición del público alrededor del
escenario, en forma de reunión
de cabales o familiar.
El lenguaje íntimo del flamenco,
es decir su esencia, necesita estos requisitos para expresarse en
toda su verdad.
Durante 42 años, Tablao Cordobés
ha reunido en una combinación
equilibrada a las figuras históricas y a las promesas artísticas
hechas realidad, con el descubrimiento de los más jóvenes.
Otra característica de nuestros
espectáculos es su aspecto coral. Se suman en uno varios talentos estimulando la inspiración
a través de la diversidad y del
reto estimulante entre ellos. Otro
rasgo característico de nuestro
espectáculo es haber impreso
una estética teatral y una disciplina escenográfica como marco
para el lenguaje más profundo
del flamenco. Y para rematarlo, la
selección de las mejores voces y
las mejores guitarras dentro de
un espectáculo en el que todos
terminan siendo solistas.
En esta edición que terminará a
principios del año que viene, pero
que en Tablao Cordobés no termina nunca, juntamos a la élite
del flamenco en espectáculos
que quedarán para la historia.
