RESUM
En aquest treball es farà un estudi multidisciplinari d’un edifici que forma part del
patrimoni modernista d’Igualada.
D’aquest edifici, situat al centre de la ciutat, se n’ha estudiat la història de la persona
que el va fer construir i la seva família, els aspectes socioculturals de l’època, i
també la història del projecte de construcció. Tot seguit s’ha fet un estudi exhaustiu
de l’edifici a nivell arquitectònic, tant dels sistemes de construcció, com dels
elements artístics, molt característics en el modernisme de principis del segle XX.
ABSTRACT
This work consists of a multidisciplinary study on a unique building which belongs
to the modernist heritage of the city of Igualada.
Aspects of the building studied are the history of the contracting person and family
with an overview of the social and economical environment of the period, as long as
the architectural project itself in detail. After this I have also looked at the building
from a technical and formal perspective, regarding building system and techniques,
and from the arts perspective and its elements, those widely used during early XX
century modernist architecture.
RESUMEN
En este trabajo se hará un estudio multidisciplinar de un edificio que forma parte del
patrimonio modernista de Igualada. De este edificio, situado en el centro de la
ciudad, se ha estudiado la historia de la persona que encargó construirlo y de su
familia con los respectivos aspectos socioculturales de la época y también la historia
del proyecto de construcción
Seguidamente de ha hecho un estudio exhaustivo del edificio a nivel arquitectónico,
tanto de los sistemas de construcción, como de los elementos artísticos, muy
característicos en el modernismo de principios del siglo XX.
