Sacrament of Baptism
Baptismal instruction is on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Baptism in English is the 2nd Saturday of the
month or within Mass. En Español son el 3er Sábado del mes a las 2PM, o en la Misa.
Parents should call the rectory and request an initial interview before the baptismal instruction.
Sacrament of Matrimony
Couples should contact the priest a year prior to the desired date of the wedding.
Caring for the Sick

26th Sunday in Ordinary Time
My child, remember that you received what was good
during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received
what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas
you are tormented. Moreover, between us and you a
great chasm is established…” (LUKE 16:25-26)
When God created the world He declared that it was
good and He gave it to all mankind for us to enjoy. However, over the years we have created a
chasm between those who have great gifts and those
who do not. In today’s Gospel we see that with our
own generosity we must bridge that gap between
those who have much and those who have little or we
may find ourselves on the wrong side of the chasm in
the next life.

tickets for a Pilgrimage
to the Holy Land for two
people. Our goal is to sell
500 tickets. The cost of each ticket is $50 dollars. The person who sells the most tickets
will receive a reward. The tickets must be
paid in order to be eligible for the reward. If
we sell at least 250 tickets, the highest seller
will win $250; if we meet the goal of 500
tickets, the prize will be $500. Tickets won’t
be available until we have enough people
committed to selling them. Also, we must
guarantee that at least 250 tickets will be
sold. If you are interested, please contact Fr.
Nelson. The profit from this raffle will help
us continue with our pastoral work. If you
can’t help us by selling tickets, please at least
help us by buying one or more tickets.

Bishop Robert J. McManus will celebrate the
Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on:
Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. at the Cathedral of
St. Paul, Worcester. This liturgy of thanksgiving to God for many years of faithful witness to
the sacredness of Christian marriage honors
couples who are marking significant anniversaries (25th, 50th, etc.) this year. A light reception will follow downstairs in the Cenacle. Family and friends are welcome! Couples wishing to
attend should pre-register no later than October
17 so that a commemorative certificate may be
issued. To register, complete the registration

creó el mundo Él declaró que era bueno y se lo dio a
toda la humanidad para que lo disfrutáramos. Sin embargo, a lo largo de los años hemos creado una brecha
entre los que tienen grandes regalos y los que no los
tienen. En el Evangelio de hoy vemos que con nuestra
propia generosidad debemos cerrar esa brecha entre los
que tienen mucho y los que tienen poco o nos podemos
encontrar en el lado equivocado del abismo en la
próxima vida.
