September 7, 2014 - Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church
Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Founded in the good news of Christ that “God so loved the world that he gave (us) his only Son”
(Jn 3:16) and knowing that he (Christ) “came that we might have life — life in all fullness” (Jn 10:10)
and rooted in Jesus’ command to “Love one another as I have loved you” (Jn 13:34), we the members
of Christ the Redeemer Parish commit ourselves:
• To foster an understanding and sharing of Christ’s message
• To celebrate the glory of God in liturgy which recognizes our diversity and calls us
to oneness in God’s presence
• To challenge the faithful to respond to Christ’s call to meet the needs of all people
with compassion and charity.

INITIATION
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (RCIA)
“Wherever two or three are gathered in my name,
there am I in the midst of them.”
What a wonderful assurance that when we gather, God is in our
midst! Yet notice the context of this saying comes as an
expression of unity over divisiveness and reconciliation over
discord. The church is a communion of believers not isolated
individuals to whom God appears privately alone.
Have you experienced God in your life calling you to make more
public and share this revelation with others who can assist you
through a community of faith? Now may be the time for you to
consider exploring this experience and call by speaking to other
Catholics who belong to this parish and profess this faith.
If you are an unbaptized Adult or have an unbaptized child over
the age of 7 interested in celebrating sacraments of baptism,
confirmation, and communion, please contact Jay Cuasay,
Director of Faith Formation at 703-430-0811 ext. 112 or

The 40 Days for Life movement (40daysforlife.com) originated in 2004 and is
the largest internationally coordinated pro-life mobilization in history,
helping local communities end abortions. We peacefully and respectfully
pray outside abortion clinics to end all abortions. We do this with the
utmost reverence, remembering that conversion is God’s work. We are
merely his faithful servants and messengers. Please consider joining us by
signing up at our information table on Sept. 6 or 7 after mass or at the 40
