EUCHARISTIC ADORATION, dedicated to the Blessed
Sacrament, will be held on Friday, July 6, immediately
following the 9 AM Communion Service until Benediction at
7:45 PM in the Chapel. Sign-up sheets are posted on the
bulletin board in the Gathering Area. Please join us in an
hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

QUILT RAFFLE—Pack 444 and Troop 444 of the Boy Scouts
will be selling raffle tickets after Masses on July 14 and 15. The
Modified Quilt Sampler, donated by My Brother’s Keeper
Ministry and hand quilted by Suzie Flanagan is a queen size quilt
in mauve, green and white. Tickets are $2 each and 3 for $5. For

ASSISTANT BAPTISM COORDINATOR—a volunteer is
needed to help the current Coordinator to prepare parents and
godparents for the Sacrament of Baptism in our parish. For more

ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON CIRCLE July Dinner Meeting
will be on Friday, July 13, at 7 PM at the Remington Grill,

WOMEN’S GUILD BAZAAR GIFT BASKET RAFFLE—
Please sign-up to purchase and donate an item from the themed
lists that are posted in the Gathering Area. These bountiful gift
baskets will be assembled and raffled at the Women’s Guild annual bazaar in November. Unwrapped items can be brought to
the Church and placed in the box provided after any weekend

FOOD PANTRY—The food pantry especially needs the following items: tuna fish, low sodium chunky beef and chicken soups,
Chef Boy Ardi ravoli, peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce, shampoo,
deodorant soap, toothpaste and other personal care items. Grocery store gift cards and Wal-Mart gift cards are also appreciated.

DEL PULPITO A SU BANCA……….
XIII Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario
En la sociedad en que vivimos hoy es muy común escuchar la
siguiente frase, "Que no te vean la cara de tonto; cuando puedas
toma venganza." En el Evangelio de hoy Jesús nos advierte con
toda claridad que para poder ser su seguidor, las personas muchas veces deben de estar dispuestas a renunciar a su familia,
bienes materiales, y sobre todo a los deseos violentos y agresivos. Santiago y Juan, discípulos cercanos a Jesús, pedían que
bajara fuego del cielo y acabara con los Samaritanos.
Los discípulos estaban todavía muy lejos del Reino que predicaba Jesús: un espacio sin guerra, violencia, y venganza. Necesitaban un curso intensivo de justicia, paz, y armonía. En la
actualidad, el mundo vive lleno de conflictos, guerra, religión
mal interpretada, y terrorismo. Las familias tienen este modelo
a seguir. Por lo tanto, no sorprende que existan muchos casos
de violencia intra-familiar. Pero, ¿qué podemos hacer para vivir
en paz y con armonía? ¿Te consideras tú lejos o cerca del
Reino de Jesús?
El ser discípulo de Jesús exige ser valiente ya que el mundo
que nos rodea es completamente adverso a la paz. Quizá nos
preguntamos, ¿de qué forma puedo ser valiente en este tiempo
tan agitado en que vivimos? Tenemos en la primera lectura el
ejemplo del Profeta Eliseo: él dejó todo a un lado y cambió
totalmente la orientación de su vida cuando escuchó el llamado
de Dios. Sigamos pues adelante cumpliendo lo que nuestra fe
nos exige. No olvidemos que Cristo nos hizo libres para emprender nuevas direcciones.
